Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket are Los Angeles-based regional sports networks serving Southern California, Central California, southern Nevada, and Hawaii. They are owned by Fox Cable Networks, a subsidiary of News Corporation's Fox Entertainment Group.

Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket's general and sales offices are located in downtown Los Angeles, across from Staples Center.

To note, Lakers local cable broadcasts (all home games) air exclusively on West, and the Dodgers air their cable telecasts exclusively on Prime Ticket. The remaining teams on the West/Prime Ticket roster usually shuffle between the two networks in the case of overlapping coverage of televised events, including exclusive broadcasts of the Clippers, Galaxy and Kings, plus the area's local college athletic teams. The other area franchises have over-the-air broadcasts available, including on KCOP for the Angels, KDOC for the Ducks and Chivas USA (also available in Spanish on KWHY), KCAL for Lakers away games and a combined 50 home and away Dodgers telecasts.

Bobby Ryan (born Robert Shane Stevenson on March 17, 1987) is an American winger currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks. Ryan grew up in Collingswood, New Jersey.

After winning national championships with his minor hockey team, the Los Angeles Junior Kings, he initially committed to playing for the U.S. National Under-18 Program. Despite telling Ontario Hockey League (OHL) teams he would not play major junior, Ryan was selected by the Owen Sound Attack 7th overall in the 2003 OHL Selection Draft. He was convinced to play for the team and immediately began his major junior career with a 39-point rookie campaign in 2003–04. After improving to 89 points the following season, Ryan was drafted second overall by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Ryan closed out his OHL career after the 2006–07 season. Upon elimination in the playoffs, he was assigned by the Ducks to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League (AHL) for the final 8 games of the AHL season. Ryan then started the 2007–08 season with the Ducks, scoring his first NHL goal in his debut against the Los Angeles Kings at The O2 arena in London, England. Ryan was, however, sent back to the AHL to Portland after 4 games. He was recalled on March 7, 2008, when Corey Perry's leg injury sidelined him for the remainder of the regular season.

Saku Antero Koivu (born November 23, 1974) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player and an alternate captain of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He began his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1995–96 after three seasons with TPS of the Finnish SM-liiga. Koivu served as the Canadiens' captain for ten of his fourteen years with the club, which makes his the longest captaincy tenure in team history tied with Jean Béliveau. Koivu was the first European to captain the Montreal Canadiens.

Saku started his professional ice hockey career playing for TPS in the Finnish SM-liiga, beginning in 1992–93. He posted 10 points in his rookie season, including 5 points in the playoffs to help TPS to a Kanada-malja championship. After improving to 53 points the following season, he put up a league-high 73 points in 1994–95. In addition to earning the Veli-Pekka Ketola trophy as league scoring champion, Koivu was awarded the Kultainen kypärä award as the players' choice for the best player and the Lasse Oksanen trophy as league MVP. He went on to record 17 points in 13 post-season games that year to earn the Jari Kurri trophy as playoff MVP and win his second Kanada-malja trophy in three years with TPS.

Corey Perry (born May 16, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Drafted out of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he captured a Memorial Cup with the London Knights and a gold medal with Team Canada at the World Junior Championships during his major junior career. He was selected by the Ducks 28th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft and won the Stanley Cup with the club in 2007. In 2008, Perry's numbers improved as he scored 29 goals and recorded 25 assists. In 2009, Perry scored 72 points and was named to his first NHL All-Star team. Perry continued his success in 2010 as he scored 27 goals and had 49 assists. In 2010, he won the Olympic Gold Medal with Canada at the Vancouver Games. In 2011, Perry won the Hart Trophy as the National Hockey League MVP for the 2010-11 season. He led the NHL in goals with 50 and finished 3rd in points behind Daniel Sedin and Martin St. Louis with 98 points.

Perry was born on May 16, 1985 in Peterborough, Ontario. He was the first of two boys born to Geoff and Nancy Perry. He and his brother Adam learned to skate when Corey was two and Corey started to watch hockey the following year.

Kyle Henry Erovre Okposo (born April 16, 1988) is an American professional ice hockey right winger, an alternate captain of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted seventh overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders, following a season in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the Des Moines Buccaneers in which he was named the most valuable player of the USHL playoffs and the league's top rookie. He helped the Buccaneers to a Clark Cup victory.

Okposo was born to a Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. His father immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager, and eventually earned a Ph.D. His family currently resides in Minnesota, where Okposo grew up.^{[citation needed]}

During his freshman season at University of Minnesota, Okposo was placed at the center position, even though he is a natural winger. Throughout most of the season this became his most common position due to the abundance of wingers on the team.

In January 2007, he played for the U.S. National Junior Team in the 2007 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. On June 7, 2007, Okposo announced he would be returning to the University of Minnesota for the 2007–08 season. Okposo played the 2007–08 season for the University of Minnesota ice hockey team until December 19, 2007. On that morning Okposo notified his teammates at the university of his decision to leave the team. Soon after, both the Gophers and the New York Islanders announced officially that Okposo decided to leave college after the completion of his current semester and would then begin his professional hockey career.
