Stark County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 375,586, which is a decrease of 0.7% from 378,098 in 2000. It is included in the Canton-Massillon, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area.

It is named for John Stark, an officer in the American Revolutionary War. Its county seat is Canton.

According to the 2010 census, the county has a total area of 580.53 square miles (1,503.6 km²), of which 575.27 square miles (1,489.9 km²) (or 99.09%) is land and 5.26 square miles (13.6 km²) (or 0.91%) is water.

Stark County, Ohio, is one of the few counties in the United States to border as many as eight counties.

Stark County was named in honor of American Revolutionary War General John Stark. John Stark (August 28, 1728 – May 8, 1822) was a general who served in the American Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. He became widely known as the "Hero of Bennington" for his exemplary service at the Battle of Bennington in 1777.

In the later 20th century, Stark County's voting record swung from one party to another, closely tracking the winner of the U.S. Presidential election. Even within the swing state of Ohio, Stark County is regarded as a quintessential bellwether, and thus presidential candidates have typically made multiple visits to the region. Major media outlets typically pay close attention to the election results in the county. The New York Times in particular has covered the county's citizens and their voting concerns in a series of features each election cycle for over a decade.

Josh Logan (born March 29, 1980) of Manchester, New Hampshire, is the front man and vocalist for his three-person band whose self-titled first album is "Josh Logan and Nobody's Business." In 2006, he was a contestant on the CBS program Rock Star: Supernova.

Inspired by Stevie Wonder and Pearl Jam, Logan began his music career in his teens. At a very early age he traveled with his mother, a karaoke DJ, often joining in singing the lyrics of Bon Jovi songs. [1]

By the age of 15, Logan was already on-stage as a front man for local band "Gunshy". The band broke up when he was 18.

Playing nightly at local venues for two years as a solo artist, hosting open mic nights as well as performing, Logan honed his skills as a solo musician.

His music draws its influences from a variety of artists, including Stevie Wonder, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, G. Love & Special Sauce, Faith No More, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

In the early 2000s, he formed the three-piece band known as Josh Logan & Nobody's Business with hired guns. His exposure in his hometown earned "hardest working musician in Manchester" honors from the Hippo Press newspaper in 2003, and in 2008, the paper named him "Best Local Performer Playing Original Songs" in its 8th annual Reader's Poll; Logan was also one of 100 semi-finalists in the Disc Makers "Independent Northeast Songwriting Competition."
