Brad Bird tweets, and no that's not the name of a cute new children's novel, it actually happened. Director, Brad Bird has been attached to the new science-fiction film 1952 for quite some time, and just recently posted an interesting photo on twitter to perhaps give fans a taste of what's to come.
Taking a look here at the photo we see that there is a distressed banker's box with the label "1952" and it's filled with old black and white photos with someone who looks just like Walt Disney in them as well as what looks to be some Technicolor film next to a few pieces of an old camera.
There are also a lot of envelopes and folders as well as a single book who some out there think has the word "research" in its title. We can also tell, Brad, that you have a sassy satchel, need a refill on your coffee, and totally an iPhone user, not like we like to stalk people here at ClevverMovies.
This is one of the few tips we have had about the inspiration of the new film, since it was ruled out that 1952 was not the working title of Star Wars Episode 7. Beyond the rumors that the tone of the movie might be similar to that of Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, we don't know too much yet about the story. Bird is said to be working on the script with Jeff Jensen, and George Clooney is the only big actor attached to the cast list so far. So, while this was a wonderful sneak peek into Brad Bird''s process, we are all still left wanting, and perhaps that was exactly the point.
So, what do you all think about this information leak? Does anyone want to take a jab at what the plot line might be for the new 1952 film? Just like with Brad Bird, twitter is one of our favorite places to get you all of your movie news, so if you haven't connected with us over there, go follow us at ClevverMovies. It's A Wrap: Star Wars VII Directors - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGUgFKAr52o&feature;=plcp
In last week's "It's A Wrap" we sat down with a panelist of film writers and fans to discuss possible directors for Star Wars 7, and one of the names that kept coming up was Brad Bird. Although we would have loved to see him helm the seventh installment of our favorite franchise in the galaxy, it looks like he's officially out of the running to direct Episode 7.
Brad Bird took to his Twitter account to answer fans questions, saying that his next project will be, "A science fiction film, not Star Wars."
The science fiction project Bird was talking about is titled, 1952, a futuristic film that's said to be in the vein of "Close Encounters" and might possibly involve a little George Clooney, although as of now, the project has not officially been green lit.
But back to Star Wars 7. Although Brad Bird won't be directing it, that doesn't mean he's not excited for the future of the franchise. He also tweeted that he'll be "first in line to see the new Star Wars." Something tells me when you're Brad Bird, you probably don't have to wait in any lines to see a movie...although that would be pretty cool to see him camped out in front of a movie theater to see a film he could have directed.
So, for those of you who need a quick Episode VII recap: Brad Bird's out. Jon Favreau & Joe Johnston, still in. To see us sound off on possible Star Wars directors on "It's A Wrap" click the link in the description below, and of course, tell us who you'd like to see directing Episode VII now with Brad Bird out of the running.
I'm Erin Darling, stay tuned for more Star Wars news right here on Clevver Movies.

Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clevver movies Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the scoop on brad birds directors block!
Brad Bird, director of the upcoming Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, recently told Movies.com that there's a good reason that there hasn't been a sequel to The Incredibles, the one film among Pixar's canon that seems most ripe for a follow-up: he hasn't been working on one. "To say that I've had trouble [coming up with a story] is to say that [a sequel] has been my pursuit.... "I haven't really been pursuing that."
Now despite not working on the sequel at the moment, bird isn't opposed to the idea! He is indeed interested in making a follow-up, as long as he's able to author it himself rather than turning it over even to Pixar's almost impossibly talented Brain Trust of filmmakers.
AS much as we wouild all love to see the incredibles sequel, I respect that bird wont just settle for less than perfect...this way we are sure that when incredables 2 does come out, it will be awesome!
