Watch the Boys Town Jerusalem boys choir do their amazing rendition of the famous Hanukkah song, Maoz Tzur.
Chanuka is the festival of lights. It is celebrated for 8 days to remember the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days in the time of the Second Temple.
Boys Town Jerusalem is situated in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a school for over 900 boys, many of whom come from under privileged homes. More than 75% come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and require substantial scholarship assistance. No student is ever turned away from Boys Town Jerusalem due to inability to pay tuition.
BTJ is one of Israel’s major technological training centers. The boys once graduated go on to the IDF and many become beacons in Israeli society.

Maoz Tzur is a Jewish folk song traditionally sung at Hanukkah. The words read like a prayer and reflect the heart of the Jewish people during the time of oppression echoing the hope of victory and for the re-dedication of their temple.
Although written around the 13th century, the words to this song are ever more relevant to me now during a time when Jerusalem, the holy city that housed the temple, is again under threat to be taken away from the Jewish settlement in Israel under the UN negotiations. I hope you enjoy my cover of this song that and I wish that it would bring joy, hope and encouragement to all Israel.

Maoz Vegetarian
Maoz Vegetarian is a chain of falafel fast food restaurants, serving purely vegetarian fare with a vision of "spreading the vegetarian lifestyle worldwide". The chain was founded by a husband and wife, Nahman Milo and Sima Bar-On, Israelis, who were living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The first restaurant opened in 1991 on the Reguliersbreestraat, Amsterdam, and the first store outside the Netherlands opened in 1996.
Expansion, by the way of franchise, was initially rapid, with at least four stores opening in 2007 alone in Europe, North America, and Australia. The expansion has not been without setbacks. A location in Munich, Germany, which was opened in mid-2006, was closed as of February 2008. Locations in Washington, D.C.; Hoboken, New Jersey; and Berkeley, California also closed after only being open for a few years. However, locations in East Coast cities such as Philadelphia and New York have thrived.
According to the company's website, franchises operating under the brand name are located in the Netherlands (six stores) as well as twelve locations in the United States (five in New York City), France (two in Paris), Spain (one in Barcelona) and Brazil (one in São Paulo).

Church (building)

Watch the Boys Town Jerusalem boys choir do their amazing rendition of the famous Hanukkah song, Maoz Tzur. Chanuka is the festival of lights. It is celebrated for 8 days to remember the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days in the time of the Second Temple. Boys Town Jerusalem is situated in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a school for over 900 boys, many of whom come from under privileged homes. More than 75% come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and require substantial scholarship assistance. No student is ever turned away from Boys Town Jerusalem due to inability to pay tuition. BTJ is one of Israel’s major technological training centers. Maoz Tzur is a Jewish folk song traditionally sung at Hanukkah. The words read like a prayer and reflect the heart of the Jewish people during the time of oppression echoing the hope of victory and for the re-dedication of their temple. Although written around the 13th century, the words to this song are ever more relevant to me now during a time when Jerusalem, the holy city that housed the temple, is again under threat to be taken away from the Jewish settlement in Israel under the UN negotiations. It is celebrated for 8 days to remember the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days in the time of the Second Temple. Boys Town Jerusalem is situated in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a school for over 900 boys, many of whom come from under privileged homes. More than 75% come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and require substantial scholarship assistance. No student is ever turned away from Boys Town Jerusalem due to inability to pay tuition. BTJ is one of Israel’s major technological training centers. Watch the Boys Town Jerusalem boys choir do their amazing rendition of the famous Hanukkah song, Maoz Tzur.
Chanuka is the festival of lights. It is celebrated for 8 days to remember the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days in the time of the Second Temple.
Boys Town Jerusalem is situated in Jerusalem, Israel. It is a school for over 900 boys, many of whom come from under privileged homes. More than 75% come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and require substantial scholarship assistance. No student is ever turned away from Boys Town Jerusalem due to inability to pay tuition.
BTJ is one of Israel’s major technological training centers. The boys once graduated go on to the IDF and many become beacons in Israeli society.
