Ba Gua
www.wudang-temple.com Jiang Rong Qiao`s Baguazhang is performed at "Jin Ding" - "Golden Peak", mt. wudang. This is Jiang Rong Qiao`s "later" taught Form, which is deeply based on "Xuan Shen" Twisting Body, "Huo Bu" Agil Steps, & "Da-Shuai-Na" Hitting-Throwing-Locking. As u know GM Jiang Rong Qiao (1890-1974) was a diligent martial artist who had not only one Master. But his MAIN Teachers where Chen Ting Hua and Zhang Zhao Dong, both disciples of DONG HAI CHUAN. As a practitioner of styles like: Mi Zong Quan, Liu He Bafa, Chen Style Taijiquan, Xingyiquan & at least 3 different Styles of Baguazhang, Jiang Rong Qiao created this unique Style which combines and synthesizes the efficiency of many his time "proved" fighting arts in a unique way. This is the second form taught in our Lineage, after one learned the Mother Palms. There is a third form, called YIN YANG Baguazhang, which is the most advanced form for Instructors and has mostly wudang XUAN WU specific step-work, as well as the "dragon&phoenix-like;" motion. www.wudang-temple.com

Grand Master Li Zheng Fu & Dr. Stephen Yan Dong's Six Harmony Spear(Wang Bao Spear)wmv
This is a video of the Dong's Six Harmony Spear performed by Grand Master Li Zheng Fu (1934-) and Dr Stephen Yan. This Six Harmony Spear was founded by the Taoist Dong Bing Qian (1580-1679). Dong Bin Qian passed the Six Harmony Spear on to Ji Long Feng (1602-1683), who then founded Xin Yi Six Harmony from this Six Harmony Spear. Dong Bing Qian also passed the Six Harmony Spear on to Wang Zhong Jin, which is Master Li's direct lineage. Dong Bin Qian was an extremely important figure in the history of the internal arts. He is also known for passing 13 Soft Hand Tai Chi and Tong Bei to 3 disciples. Li Zhong, Li Xin and Chen Zou Ting (Also known as Chen Wang Ting, from the Chen Village). Dong Bing Qian learnt the 13 Soft Hands from Wang Zhong Yue, Tong Bei from the Tong Bei Founder Dong Chen, and the Spear from Li Jing Long (5th Generation of "Long Spear Li" Li Er). Wang Zhong Yue also taught 13 Soft Hands Tai Chi to Jiang Fa (1574-?) and Bo Gong, in the same Taoist temple as Dong Bin Qian.Jiang Fa taught 13 Soft Hands Tai Chi to Xing Xi Huai inZhao Bao,later Chen Zou Ting invited Jiang Fa to chen village and further learned 13 soft hand again from Jiang Fa. Dongs family descendants in the Qiang Long region founded Yin Yang Ba Pang Zhang during the Qing Dynasty. Dong Meng Ling, the 3rd Generation of Ying Yang Ba Pang Zhang, passed this on to Dong Hai Chuan and to Li Zheng Qing, Dong Hai Chuan who founded Bagua. A photo slide comparison of these styles is found at the end of ...

YinYang BaPan Zhang
Yīn Yáng Bā Pán Zhǎng (Yin Yang Eight Basin Palms) Demonstration of the basic hand and weapon forms of Yin Yang Ba Pan Zhang. Including complete demonstrations of the Yin Yang Ba Pan Four Foot Two Inch Saber, and the Five Tigers Piercing the Forest Double Headed Spear. Yin Yang Ba Pan Zhang is said by it's practitioners to be the parent art of Bagua Zhang. Although there are many who disagree and say that it is merely another style of Bagua from Dong Hai chuan, there has not been any truly conclusive evidence found for either case. According to Ren Zhicheng's 1937 book Yin Yang Ba Pan Zhang, the art traces back to the family of Dong Menglin who had three students. These were Li Zhenqing, Xue Yonghe, and Dong Hanqing (supposedly another name for Dong Haichuan). Li Zhenqing in turn had three main students, Liu Baozhen, Xiao Haibo, and Ren Zhicheng. Xiao Haibo and Liu Baozhen were cousins and later both trained further under Dong Haichuan. Ren Zhicheng and his three brothers were Li Zhenqing's last students. After learning the art Ren Zhicheng returned to his hometown in Wen An county Hebei where the art is still taught today.

baguazhang - bai Sui Yunjiang Laoshi ceremony
Beijing, summer 2001. A group of foreign students accepted as disciples by baguazhang 4th generation Master Sui Yunjiang. The official ceremony was held in Grand Master Li Ziming's home, at the presence of Master Li's wife and daughter. In the main building with the living room you can see pictures of Master Li. The building where the ceremony was held was Master Li's studio, with our ancestor's portraits (Master Dong Hai chuan portrait is the only and original one ever painted), and a lot of paintings made by Master Li himself. The house and surroundings were shut down the same year to leave place to a shopping area. Dedicated to all my Baguazhang Family, Love You All.

Yinyang Bapanzhang [河北: 阴阳八盘掌]
Master Liu performs Yin Yang Ba Pan Zhang. The art was passed in nineteenth century by Dong Linmeng (Dong Menglin; also called Bi Dengxia) in Henan Province to his three disciples: Xue Yonghe, Li Zhenqing and Dong Hanqing (said to be another name of Dong Haichuan, who is the founder of Baguazhang). Li Zhenqing (ab.1830-1900; native of Ba County in Hebei Province) learnt the art about 1850 and in the 1870s brought it to his hometown. Li Zhenqing's three most famous students were Liu Baozhen, Xiao Haibo and Ren Zhicheng "Bapanzhang", often translated as Eight Basins Palms or Eight Coiling Palms, is actually derived from the theory of the style, which names eight parts of human body as "Eight Basins" (Ba Pan). These parts are: Shoulders, Elbows, Wrists, Hips, Knees, Ankles, Chest and Belly.

Lu Zijian Huolong Taiyi Fire Dragon Palm
GM Lu Zijian, allegedly born in 1893 in Chongqing, Sichuan province, showing a brief sequence from his Fire Dragon Palm. Sichuan is the cradle of religious Daoism, and probably the source of many of the ideas which Dong Haichuan used to create baguazhang.
