CinePedia - Deepika Padukone Talks About His Race 2 Film
Deepika Padukone (born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress and model. She appears mostly in Hindi films, as well as Tamil and Kannada language films. Born to badminton player Prakash Padukone, she chose to become an actress.[1]
In 2006, Padukone made her acting debut through the Kannada film Aishwarya.[2] The following year, she made her Hindi film debut in Om Shanti Om, for which she earned the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. It remains her biggest commercial success. She subsequently appeared in Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Housefull (2010). While the former earned her a Filmfare nomination in the Best Actress category, the latter emerged as a commercial success.[3] Soon after, Padukone featured in Homi Adajania's commercially successful dramedy, Cocktail (2012) and earned unanimous critical appreciation for her performance.[4][5]
In addition to acting, Padukone is also the ambassador of prominent brands such as Tissot, Sony Cybershot, Yamaha,[6] Nescafe and Kingfisher Airlines.
Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former badminton player of international repute, and her mother is a travel agent. Her father was then training in Denmark in the sport and when she was eleven months old her family moved to Bangalore, Karnataka, India.[8] Padukone has a younger sister, Anisha, born on 2 February 1991.[9]
Padukone attended Sophia High School in Bangalore, and completed her pre-university studies at Mount Carmel College Bangalore.[10] While in high school she played badminton at the state level.[11] However, she was not keen on pursuing a career as a badminton player.[12] During the time of her film debut she was enrolled with the Indira Gandhi National Open University in Bachelors of Arts (Sociology).
Padukone made her cinematic debut in Kannada with Aishwarya opposite Kannada Superstar Upendra in 2006. The film was a Candyfloss Romantic Comedy and was a commercial success. She later made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Farah Khan's blockbuster Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film was a re-incarnation melodrama, featuring her in a double role.[22][23] Her performance was well received, earning the actress a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award as well as her first Filmfare Best Actress nomination. Taran Adarsh from indiaFM noted, "Deepika has all it takes to be a top star — the personality, the looks and yes, she's supremely talented too. Standing in the same frame as SRK and getting it right is no small achievement. She comes as a whiff of fresh air!"[24] About being cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan, she said,
"When Farah was casting for Happy New Year, she saw my commercials on TV and called my agent. I met her when she was rehearsing at a dance hall in Juhu. When that film didn't happen, she offered me OSO. Farah took care of me right from the first meeting, introducing me to Shah Rukh Khan and ensuring that I was comfortable with him. Six months prior to shooting, we frequently met up for lunches and dinners."[25]
Padukone was then seen playing a feisty, modern-day Indian woman, Gayatri, in Siddharth Anand's romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba.[26] The film, which released on 15 August 2008, performed reasonably well at the box office, but her performance drew flak. Adarsh wrote, "Deepika is a sore point. Her role isn't convincing and that's the reason why this performance doesn't work. The only consolation is, she looks gorgeous."[27]
She played a double role again in Chandni Chowk To China, which released on 16 January 2009. The film, directed by Nikhil Advani, featured Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Ranvir Shorey in the lead. It was a critical and commercial disaster, with Nikhat Kazmi of The Times Of India commenting, "Deepika looks lost and forlorn for most of the film."[28]
Padukone's fourth release Love Aaj Kal, released on 31 July 2009, proved to be one of the biggest hits of 2009.[29] Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film documented the changing value of relationships among the youth. Padukone played the role of Meera Pandit, a practical and head-strong career woman opposite Saif Ali Khan. Of her performance, NDTV's Anupama Chopra wrote, "Deepika looks fabulous but she isn't a strong enough actor to breathe life into the character."[30] Despite this, she received her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress nomination.[3]
The same year, she teamed up with Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan once again for an item number in the Irrfan Khan-Lara Dutta starrer Billu.[31] She made guest appearances in the Telegu film Love 4 Ever and in Sohail Khan's Main Aur Mrs Khanna.

Don 3 Coming soon?
Welcome folks. Swagat hai aap ka Bollywood Mojo mein. After the success of the films Don and Don 2, I am sure you are all wondering ki kya aap Don 3 ko pakad payenge. Let's hear what Shah Rukh and Farhan Akhtar have to say about this.
(Put SRK and Farhan Quotes on next remake)
The Don franchise so to speak, began in 1978 when Don starring Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, and Pran went on to become a hit. In fact yeh us saal ki top teen highest grossing Bollywood films mein se ek thi.
When Farhan Akhtar decided to remake the film with Shah Rukh Khan, there was obviously a lot of hype and expectation around it. The remake, once again titled 'Don' released in 2006, and went on to gross over 104 crores worldwide. Obviously, sequel koh hona hi tha. December 2011 mein Farhan aur SRK ne Don 2 release ki. Aur yeh aaj bhi Bollywood ki one of the highest grossing Bollywood films of all time hai with a worldwide collection of 206 crores.
Don 2 received four out of five stars from Nikhat Kazmi in the Times of India, and 3.5 stars out of 5 by from Taran Adarsh in Bollywood Hungama, and received favourable reviews by international media as well.
Toh kya lagta hai? Kya hum Don 3 dekh payenge? Your guess is as good as ours.
Lekin Don ko pakadna ya unki film banana mushkil hi nahin, bahut kathin hai. Matlab it is not all glamour and money where the making of such a successful franchise is concerned folks. There's a lot of blood and sweat that goes such a popular series. Is film ki making ke baren mein aur janna chahenge? Well, you are in luck. Our khabri has brought us some amazing videos of the making of Don 2.
After the remake of the original Don, the idea for Don 2 developed over a period of time according to Farhan Akhtar. Log unhe baar baar kehte ki aap is kahani ko aage le jaiye. People kept telling him he couldn't leave the story there, especially since Don had gotten away scott free in the first film.
(Put Farhan's quotes)
A lot of thought went into the character of Don even in the sequel -- right from the walk, to the look, the tattoos, the hair, to his attitude.
(Put Farhan's and SRK's quotes)
Costume designing aur make-up bhi aasaan kaan nahin hai doston. In fact each character's look and clothes were carefully chosen.
(Put in quotes of costume designer explaining each character's design.)
Film shuru hoti hai Malaysia and then moves on to Germany and other parts of Europe.
(Put quotes of why the film was shot in these countries)
Each country had its own set of beauty and difficulties for the cast and crew.
(Put quotes of actors talking about experiences in different countries.)
Shah Rukh did some difficult and dangerous fight and stunt scenes -- aur darn eke badle, woh inko kafi enjoy kar rahe the as you can see.
(Put scenes)
Hamari filmom mein actresses ko bahut kum action scenes milte hai and Priyanka had a tough time getting into action mode, but with Shah Rukh encouraging her, she came off with flying colors.
(Put Priyanka fight scenes)
The dangerous bombing scenes and car crash scenes had to be carefully planned to avoid injuries and accidents.
(Put planning scenes and explosions)
Shah Rukh, Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar especially enjoyed the car chase scenes kyunki teeno ko driving bahut pasand hai.
(Put car driving quotes and scenes)
Itni mushkil shooting mein haasi mazaak bhi hota tha. There were lots of funny moments. Let's take a look at some.
(Put funny scenes)
Lekin sab kuch hasi mazaak nahin tha. There were some embarrassing moments for Shah Rukh.
(Put car crash scene)
And yes, unfortunately there were some injuries on the sets -- luckily not serious.
(Put injury quotes & Scenes)
Will there be a Don 3? You never know.
(Put quotes of Farhan and SRK talking about another sequel)
Well, that's all from us on Don 2 and Don 3. Post you comments and tell us whether you think there will be a Don 3. From us, it's goodbye and see you again.

Dabangg Review
Welcome to the review of Dabangg. Yeh review jara hatke hai. Is mein app dekhenge kis critic ne is film ko kya rating di hai. After that we will present an overall average rating, which will give you a fair idea of what to expect from Dabangg.
So let's start. Dabangg stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha and the movie did so well at the box-office that the producers even released a sequel Dabangg 2.
Dabangg Sonakshi Sinha ki pehli film hai. Ye hi nahin, balki ye director Abhinav Kashyap ki pehli direction hai, aur producer Arbaaz Khan ki pehli production. The film released on Eid, on 10 September 2010 in nearly 1800 screens worldwide, and broke several box-office records. The film grossed Rs 80.87 crore in its first week, thus becoming the highest opening week grossing Bollywood film till then, overtaking the previous record of 3 Idiots.
Dabangg went on to gross Rs 215 crore worldwide, and Box office India declared it an all-time blockbuster in the second week of its release. It went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2010.
Dabangg ne kafi awards bhi jeete, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and was later remade in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
Film ki kahani kuch is prakar hai. Chulbul Pandey lives with his half-brother, Makhanchan Pandey also known as Makkhi and played by Arbaaz Khan, stepfather Prajapati Pandey played by Vinod Khanna, and mother, Naina Devi played by Dimple Kapadia. They live in Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh.
Chulbul's stepfather is always partial towards Makkhi which constantly angers the hero. Chulbul grows up and becomes a cop. He calls himself Robin Hood Pandey. One day, he catches a gang trying to steal money from a bank, and recovers the money after beating them up. However, he keeps the money for himself.
A goon named Chedi Singh, played by Sonu Sood, then meets Chulbul and informs him that the gang he beat up were robbing the bank to collect money for a political party. He offers to forgive Chulbul on the condition that he joins the gang, but Chulbul refuses.
