Syrian President Bashar al Assad has lashed out at the British government, describing it as "shallow and immature" for siding with foreign-backed terrorists fighting his country.
"We do not expect an arsonist to be a firefighter", President Assad told The Sunday Times, dismissing any suggestion that Britain could help to resolve the conflict in Syria.
The Syrian president highlighted the fact that many nations in the Middle East region do not trust Britain, and stressed that the UK government has been viewed as "unconstructive" in the region for centuries.
"There's no contact between Syria and Britain for a long time", he said.
"You cannot separate the role from the credibility, and you cannot separate the credibility from the history of that country", the Syrian president noted.
"To be frank, Britain has played famously in our region (an) unconstructive role in different issues, for decades, some say for centuries."
"How can we expect to ask Britain to play a role while it's determined to militarise the problem?", asked President Assad.
"How can you ask them to play a role in making the situation better, more stable, how can we expect them to make the violence less when they want to send the military supply to the terrorist?
"I think they are working against us, and they are working against the interests of the UK itself.
"This government [the UK] is acting in a naïve, confused, and unrealistic manner. If they want to play a role they have to change this, they have to act in a more reasonable and responsible way", added the Syrian president.
The UK government has been playing a destructive role in Syria since two years ago when foreign-backed mercenaries and armed terror groups hijacked the Syrian nation's peaceful demands for change and waged an all-out war against the country.
Britain has been pushing for providing armed terror groups in Syria with heavy weaponry in a desperate attempt to help topple the popular government of President Bashar al-Assad.
Its agents, including MI6 spies and military experts, have long been conspiring against the Syrian people from bases in Turkey, Cyprus and sometimes in Lebanon.

German television interviews the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad
Date of Interview: February 20, 2013
Excerpts of an interview with the Syrian President featured in a new documentary on the conflict by the filmmaker Hubert Seipel.
The interview was conducted in English but later overdubbed in German for broadcast on the network ARD. This clip is from the documentary in which Mr. Assad's remarks can be heard in the original English.
The filmmaker said that he wanted to speak directly to Mr. Assad because "misinformation and psychological warfare make up a large part of the Syrian civil war." He said that he was frustrated by watching Syria's war unfold in YouTube clips selectively edited by the two sides. So, he said, "my intention was just to let Mr Assad speak about his point of view, so that our viewers can make their own judgment."

President al-Assad : Out of Womb of Pain, Hope Should Be Beget, form Bottom of Suffering Important Solutions Rise
DAMASCUS, SANA_ President Bashar al-Assad said If pain is pervading like a dark cloud over the country, the emotional state only, with its sublimity, is not enough to compensate the loss of the loving ones or the restoration of security and peace to the country or providing bread, water, fuel and medicine nationwide.
In his speech on the latest developments on Sunday, President al-Assad added that out of the womb of pain, hope should be beget and form the bottom of suffering the most important solutions rise, as the dark cloud in the sky conceals the sun light, but it also carries in its layers rain, purity and hope of welfare and offering.
President al-Assad said "These feelings of agony, sadness, challenge and intention are huge energy that will not get Syria out of its crisis unless it turns this energy into a comprehensive national move that saves the homeland from the unprecedented campaign hatched against it,"
The President added " This national move is the only balm to the deep wounds which affected our society and were about to divide it as it is the only way that is able to keep Syria geographically and making it politically stronger.

Assad accuses Britain of escalating conflict
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has accused Britain of acting in a "naive, confused and unrealistic manner" and warned other nations to stop interfering in his country's affairs, in a rare interview with The Sunday Times newspaper.
In the interview published on Saturday evening, his first with a western newspaper in more than a year, Assad said he was also unhappy with the UN for overestimating the death toll in the conflict at 70,000 in a bid to justify outside intervention.
Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports.

Bashar al-Assad defies the odds
Since the eruption of the unrest in Syria almost two years ago and the predictions of Assad's downfall have begun. Many gave ultimatums of two months or three months or the beginning of the year, but Assad appears to have defied all these odds and now is perceived as being even in a stronger position as many saw through his last speech. Until now there has been no repetition of the Egyptian, Tunisian or Libyan models. What factors have kept Assad in power?

A Day in the Life of a Syrian Citizen Journalist
Hussein worked for his family's real estate company before the Syrian uprising became increasingly violent 8 months ago. Frequent bombings and gunfire between President Bashar al-Assad forces and Syrian rebels turned the country into one of the most dangerous place in the world. Most jobs in Syria, including Hussein's in Qusayr, disappeared.
Hussein, a pro-revolution activist who asked not to use his last name for fear of retribution, began taking pictures and videos of the violence and sending them to TV stations, free of charge. Blockades and attacks on foreign journalists in Syria has made real-time information about the conflict more and more scarce.
Broadcaster are increasingly relying on untrained citizen journalists like Hussein for insight into what's going on in the country.
In this eye-opening Storyhunter video, Hussein tells his story.

Syrian Alawis: "We worship Bashar al-Assad before Allah.."
Ibn Taymiyyah said about the Alawis also known as Al-Nusayriyyah:
"All Praise is for Allah, Lord of all worlds. These people named "Al-Nusayriyyah", and other groups from among the Qaraamitah and Baatiniyyah, are greater disbelievers than the Jews and Christians. Nay, they are greater disbelievers than most of the mushrikeen (polytheists from other than Ahl ul-Kitab), and their harm to the Ummah of Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, is greater than the harm of the disbelievers who are in war with Muslims, such as at-Tatar, disbelieving Europeans and others."
