Karl Theobald (born 5 August 1969) is an English comedian and actor, best known as Dr. Martin Dear in Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing, and for his physical comedy style.

He is originally from Lowestoft where he studied at The Denes High School around 1985 and went to dance school at an early age. He graduated from the Drama Centre London in 2000, to work with Theatre de Complicite.

Theobald is the one-time comedy partner of Russell Brand; they formed a double act during the nineties called Theobald and Brand on Ice. This has been mentioned by Brand on his BBC radio show and in his autobiography, My Booky Wook. A quote from Theobald was used among quotes from others in Brand's book:

As well as appearing in Green Wing, Theobald has written comedy for the television programmes The Sketch Show and Smack the Pony. He also appeared in the radio sitcom The Exterminating Angels.^[1]

In 2008, Theobald joined the cast of ITV science fiction series Primeval as Oliver Leek.

Theobald appeared in the 2010 film Get Him to the Greek, alongside former partner Brand, playing his assistant.

Isabel Fay appeared in the first series of BBC2's How Not to Live Your Life^[1] with Dan Clark and David Armand. She also appeared in the Pilot of BBC Three's How Not to Live Your Life, and co-starred with Dan Clark in Dan Clark's Guide to Dating for Comedy Central^[2]

Comedian Isabel Fay's self penned debut short film "With or Without U2" has just won Best Comedy Short at the LA Comedy Film Festival 2011, despite the controversy surrounding the film's soundtrack. Isabel wrote it to a choral score of U2's With or Without You the band personally declined her the license to use the score. So Isabel arranged for a chorus to sing the score live along to the muted film, at the LA Comedy Film Festival, and subsequently won the Best Comedy Short trophy.

Isabel appeared in the film Clive Hole, adapted from a short story by Alexi Sayle starring David Schneider, Karl Theobald and Susan Vidler. She also appeared in the film Rekindle by Marios Hamboulides starring Tom Conti, Karl Theobald and My Family's Daniela Denby-Ashe, and she voiced short film Man in a Cat with Kevin Eldon and Josie Long

Also alongside Kevin Eldon, Alice Lowe, Steve Furst, David Bussell and Matthew Stott, Isabel appeared in the pilot for a 'sort-of-sketch-show' called "Missing Scene". The pilot was written by David Bussell, Matthew Stott and Ben Ricketts and script edited by Alice Lowe.

She co-owns internet comedy production company Clever Pie with Tom Hopgood. Clever Pie make hit online comedy sketches and films^[3]

For BBC Comedy Online Isabel wrote and performed hit short Common Film Ground^[4] And she co-wrote and starred in Leader's Wives^[5]

Isabel also made an exclusive sketch for Funny Or Die set to Bonnie Tyler's hit Total Eclipse of the Heart called Total Paperclips of the Heart^[6]

For BBC Radio 4 Isabel starred in sitcom pilot 49 Cedar Street, and as a supporting comedy character in Sarah Millican's Support Group.

For CBBC Isabel has appeared in children's comedy shows Little Howard's Big Question and Hacker Time.

Isabel has also shot her own sketch show pilot with Silver River TV^[7]. She has appeared in BBC Three's Comedy Shuffle, she wrote and performed on all three series of ITV2's flagship show Comedy Cuts, and wrote and performed as a roving reporter on Monkey TV's online show Newslog, which also stars Steve Punt.

She was a member of the cast for E4's Dogface, and BBC Three's pilot Toju.

She appeared in Episode 3 of the The Royal Bodyguard for the BBC as the Spa Receptionist.

At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Isabel's first self penned solo comedy show was Magic Steve's Disappearing Act (2006), featuring her magician's assistant character Annette Cadabra.^[8] Her second solo show at the festival was Isabel Fay: Altar Ego (2007)^[9] Fay performed a third solo Edinburgh show Don't Let A Gift Horse in the House at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, at the Pleasance Courtyard^[10]

David Whitney (1939 – June 12, 2005) was an American art curator, collector, gallerist, and critic. He led a very private life and was not well known outside the art world, even though he participated naked in the 1965 Claes Oldenburg happening Washes. He was the life partner of architect Philip Johnson (1906–2005) for 45 years until their deaths six months apart. He was also a close friend of Andy Warhol.

Whitney, the son of a banker, was raised in Worcester, Massachusetts and studied architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design.^[1] While a student, he attended a lecture by Johnson and approached the architect afterwards, asking for a tour of the Glass House.

Career[link]

During the early to mid-1960s Whitney had a variety of roles in the contemporary art world. Early jobs at the Museum of Modern Art and several art galleries, including the Green Gallery and the Leo Castelli Gallery, led to him opening his own gallery in 1969.^{[2] [3]} Some of the artists that exhibited at the David Whitney Gallery from September 1969 through March 1972 (when the gallery closed) included Neil Jenney, Jasper Johns, Ronnie Landfield, Ken Price, Kenneth Showell, William Pettet, and Phillip Wofford, amongst others. The David Whitney Gallery featured Lyrical Abstraction, Post-minimalism, and other current movements of the period^[4][5]

Later, he organized exhibitions at the Whitney Museum and elsewhere for well-known artists such as Cy Twombly, Jasper Johns, Franz Kline, Willem de Kooning, and Andy Warhol.^[6]

Later, he focused on younger artists such as Michael Heizer, Julian Schnabel, Eric Fischl, and David Salle.

• Biography

Ian Cresswell is an Australian composer born in 1968. He obtained Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University in 1996 and Master of Music at the University of Queensland in 2002. Cresswell is currently doing postgraduate studies at the Conservatorium of Music at the University of Tasmania.

Cresswell has won a number of prizes for composition including the Harrold Allen Memorial Prize for Composition and the Australian-Franco composition competition for young composers. In 2003, Cresswell was one of the composers featured in an exhibition called The Thrill of the New.^[1] In 2004, his short piece Blood Lights (directed by Robert Jarman) made its debut at the University of Tasmania produced by the IHOS Music Theatre Laboratory. It featured projection and complex harmonies to portray the disintegration of a mind.^[2]
