This is the 360 pad that comes with the slim console. The distinguishing feature is the black d-pad rather than a grey circular one. Overall it feels more comfortable than the original 360 pad, but the most noticeable improvement is the d-pad. The directions are more defined, with rigid edges which aren't as slight as the original, and the d-pad doesn't slide around like the non slim's dpad did.

I play street fighter 4 on both xbox and ps3 and disliked playing the 360 version on pad because of the flimsy poor excuse for a d-pad. However, using this pad I was immediately at home, pulling off special moves with ease, (something i struggle to do with the analague stick or the non slim pad, even though i am series veteran).

If you're getting a 360 wireless pad get this one, it's just better. I'm sure Microsoft will phase out the old ones anyway.

This product is essential for one to game on the xbox 360. I play a hell of a lot of games such as the CoD series and assassins creed. There are 3rd party manufacturers of the product that claim to have better features but this controller looks great and feels great. i purchased this controller because my old one was victim to me spamming the run button when you run on call of duty...

The one slight problem with mine, but unlikely to be a widespread issue, was that the left button on the D-Pad was stiff.. this is a negligible feature and i wont lower the rating based on that.

this controller was a steal at the price amazon were charging 50% cheaper than gamestation and GAME etc. if mine broke again i will buy here again.
I received the package, well packed, about 4-5 days after purchase.

This is the controller that comes with the new Xbox 360 S, which I bought so that I would have 2 of them (the Xbox only comes with one controller).

Amazon offered these new for the lowest price I could find online, so I was happy to pick one up from here. Service and delivery was top notch as always with Amazon.

The controller itself is very good indeed. It is well worth picking up a wireless one for a couple of pounds more, as it saves the hassle of wired connection. I would recommend however, that you invest in some rechargeable batteries, as the "30 hours" they claim these last, goes down surprisingly quickly, especially if like me, you use the Xbox for more than just gaming (iplayer, internet etc.)

The black color looks good on this controller. And the controller itself is very sturdy and well designed. After a few LAN parties with my closest friends, playing games like Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Dirt 2 on the PC almost all of them got out and bought one. They all blamed my controller on winning each match (could well be).

Just watch out that if you want to use a wireless controller on the PC you'll need to buy a special receiver (available here on Amazon). The plug and play charger does not carry any information so that' not enough. You can however buy a corded version of this Controller that can be used on both the Xbox 360 and Windows without any hassle.

If you're into any games that use 3rd person viwe og any form of vehicle driving/flying this kind of remote will enhance youre experience.

I bought this for my son as a replacement for his original controller which attached to the console with a cable. He often games with friends and the cables got in the way and limited where they sat in relation to the xbox console. This wireless controller gives his more freedom of choice.
There seems to be a decent range with this controller which is good as he often sits a fair distance away from the xbox console and TV. He hasn't noticed any degredation in signal or control even if he is halfway across the room.

The black plastic casing looks great and contrasts well with the coloured buttons on the right-hand side.

The game controller is comfortable to hold and relatively lightweight so he finds it ideal for long play sessions. It is well made, all of the buttons and controls move freely with no sticking or stiffness. The bottom and top half of the controller fit together well, there are no loose areas and no rough plastic on which to catch your hands.

My son says that using the controller makes it so much easier to control actions in first person shooter games and he can react to sudden suprises way faster than other controllers he has tried. He often plays against three other friends who all use the same controller - there is never any interference between them.

So overall, a definite improvement over the cabled version.

Only comment to make is the instructions are not that clear as we could not get the remote to sync with box until we asked a friend, the small button at the front side is not in the instructions that I could see. The instructions seem to show the top button only not the front button.
Then again I am just a parent who knows nothing............

Brought this controller as my one before was getting a bit too old. So thought id go for a nice new black one, and its amazing. Still has all the features as my previous ones, but its nice to hold a brand new controller :D The packaging is great. Highly recommended for anyone who is thinking about getting a new one. *****

It's a controller for the Xbox, what more can I say? Good. Does not control time / space, or women.

This controller is magic, makes me score pure sweaty goals on FIFA, and drop shot everyone on cod, No one can beat me now, thank you amazon :), the controller is a bit of a slut and gets penetrated by the headset daily

I use with my PC and the wirless adapter as I find the controllers wear after about a year of excessive use and the joysticks start to leave the deadzones and you find characters walking around on there own.
apart from that well made and easy to set up etc. the best controller around atm
