List of Nirvana songs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The following is a table of all songs recorded or performed by Nirvana.

This list includes all material from the bands three studio albums; Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero, in addition to songs available on live albums, compilations, extended plays (EPs), singles and reissues. This list also includes a second table of songs that have surfaced or are known to exist but have not been released officially.

  • The columns Title and Author list each song title and the writer(s) of each song, listed by last name only.
  • The column Release includes the official release on which the song first appeared. If a title has gone out of print and/or later appeared on an equally significant release, the song will include multiple release listings. For example, a number of b-sides and compilation tracks have been reissued on the With the Lights Out box set.
  • The columns Recorded, Location and Producer list the date that the song was recorded, the location of the studio or venue where the recording of the song took place and if applicable, the producer(s) of each song listed by last name. The column Time includes the tracks total playing time.

[edit] Unreleased songs

The following table includes songs that have surfaced or are known to exist but have not been released officially as audio tracks. Three songs appear as video performances on the official release, With the Lights Out (2004). Several songs were included on the Outcesticide series; a five disc Nirvana bootleg collection whose releases originally surfaced between 1994 and 1998. Remaining songs from Fecal Matter are also included here after "Spank Thru" (from the Illiteracy Will Prevail demo) appeared on Sliver: The Best of the Box. All track times are approximate.
