Camden Square is a rectangular town square in the London Borough of Camden running parallel to Camden Road north of central Camden. It has a playground and dog walking area, and St Paul's Church is at the north end. It has a perimeter of 200 metres (660 ft). At the south end is the London Irish Centre.
Amy Winehouse and Orlando Jewitt both lived and died on the square, and one of its houses once housed the West African Students' Union. Indian politician V. K. Krishna Menon lived in a house there from 1924 to 1947. In May 2012, the property where Winehouse lived and died was put on the market for £2.7 million after her family decided it was inappropriate to live there. Currently the area directly opposite the singer's former house is used as a shrine with gifts and letters left by fans around the trees and the fence to the square. In the days following the singers death several 'Camden Square' road signs were stolen by fans.
Amy Jade Winehouse (14 September 1983 – 23 July 2011) was an English singer and songwriter known for her deep expressive contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres, including soul (sometimes labelled as blue-eyed soul and neo soul),rhythm and blues, and jazz. Winehouse's 2003 debut album, Frank, was a critical success in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album, Back to Black, led to five 2008 Grammy Awards, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made her the first British female to win five Grammys, including three of the general field "Big Four" awards: Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
Winehouse won three Ivor Novello Awards: in 2004, Best Contemporary Song for "Stronger Than Me"; in 2007, Best Contemporary Song again, this time for "Rehab"; and in 2008, Best Song Musically and Lyrically for "Love Is a Losing Game." She won the 2007 Brit Award for Best British Female Artist, having also been nominated for Best British Album, with Back to Black.

Camden Markets are one on the busiest and most popular markets in London. To get there is very easy. On the tube, take the Northern line (it's the black line on the tube map) to Camden Town. Exit the station and turn right. The markets are straight ahead. Naturally there is allot useless junk for sale, but if you look hard enough you will find that unique, possibly hand made item to take home. There are loads of stall that also sell vintage and retro items for the collectors and hipsters. The best time to visit the markets are on any weekday, unless you like very crowded markets. Arrive around 10:30am (most of the stalls only open at 11:00) grab something to eat for brunch and start exploring. Just north of the canal, head left. You'll find a small square on your right with food from all o...
