3D Medical Animation Congestive Heart Failure Animation
3D Medical Animation, This is one of ASK Visual Science most complex animations to date. With a total runtime of over 8 minutes across three modules, the program incorporated over 50 separate models, from the molecular (Angiotensin I, BNP, Endothelin), to the microscopic (red blood cells, platelets, endothelial cells), to whole organs (heart, lungs, kidney, liver, vascular system) and even a whole body. Creating, managing, and animating all of these digital assets into a coherent program with a strong narrative using a team of 4 modelers and animators working concurrently - was a challenge.
Our client also had a specific tradeshow in mind to premiere the final movie, which was only 12 weeks from project initiation and gave us a fixed deadline. We managed to bring the whole program in on time and on budget - an innovative achievement.

Cardiac Rehabilitation Program: Top 7 things in picking a cardiac rehabilitation program
http://heartfitclinic.com for free webinar.
Top 7 things in picking a cardiac rehabilitation program:
If you have had some form of heart event it becomes important to start a cardiac rehabilitation program. A heart event could be arrhythmia, angina (i.e. chest pain) , heart attack, or heart failure. The most common is if you have had heart bypass surgery or heart stent surgery. You don't necessarily have to have had surgery. You could have angina, some form of heart arrhythmia, valvular disease, congenital disease or a form of heart failure.
Cardiac rehabilitation programs are not rocket science, the idea is to provide you with sound advice to help you with your heart health. We know that participating in a cardiac rehabilitation program will save your life. Many cardiac rehabilitation programs lasts only weeks. It is what you do after that becomes very important. It is about receiving vital information so you can live longer and a better quality of life after a heart event. Cardiac education will lead you to ensure that you are exercising safely and effectively, eating well, keeping stress under control and also have an understanding of heart anatomy, medications, tests and procedures.
1. Is it convenient for you? You don't want to drive long times or be in traffic to get to your program, especially if you have been told not to drive. Every city should have some type of cardiac rehabilitation program. Do they have flexible scheduling options?
a. It is ok to receive the education and start at home. Cardiac rehabilitation is not open heart surgery, the idea is to ensure you get the correct information and have someone from your cardiac rehabilitation program to provide you with sound advice as you progress with your heart health.
2. Do they have qualified staff? Staff should be certified to deal with patients with cardiac rehabilitation. This should be nurses, exercise physiologists, counselors or dietitians. All cardiac rehabilitation professionals should be certified by a reputable organization to do what they do.
You don't necessarily have to have a doctor on staff, but it is important that your family doctor stays well informed of your progress.
a. During the exercise program do they have the ability to monitor you? This will be important starting your program.
i. Blood pressure
ii. Heart rate
iii. Heart rhythm (ECG)
iv. Oxygen Saturation
v. Blood sugar
3. Is your cardiac rehabilitation staff keeping up to date?
a. Staff should attend regular meetings or obtain continuing education.
b. With social media look at them online and see how interactive they are with Youtube, Twitter, or Facebook.
4. Make sure staff patient ratio is acceptable? Ideally when doing the supervised exercise program it would be best to be one-on-one, especially early to get your specific concerns addressed, but the larger the group the harder it is to focus on your requirements. Especially if there is an emergency, so look and ask what the staff to patient ratios is and make sure that you are comfortable with it. Going to a group format once you are comfortable (after receiving a personalized approach) may work for you.
5. Make sure the cardiac rehabilitation program focuses on all aspects of your heart health. Your program should include a comprehensive education on your heart health which includes exercise, nutrition, and stress management (depression, anxiety or anger). You should be able to understand your risk factors and medications.
6. Do they have a long term program? Most cardiac rehabilitation programs have the option or guidance to provide you after you finish their program. Only one in three people continue with their program after they have completed it. The idea is to have a good plan to continue with your heart health.
7. Do they make you happy? This may sound funny but going to a cardiac rehabilitation program should make you feel happy. Happiness is a key factor to thriving with heart disease. Do you feel respected? Do you feel trusted? Do you feel important? Our self esteem and/or self confidence may be pretty low after a heart event so it is important that you feel confident and improve your self-esteem and it starts with a good vibe.
Most cardiac rehabilitation programs cost money to attend as they will have a supervised exercise program to it. If you truly want to excel it is important to invest in your heart health. Because you are investing in your heart health it does not hurt to get various educations to help you. Reading and educating yourself is important so that you can become an expert at your heart health. Remember that you are responsible for your heart health, not your doctors, not your healthcare workers, just you.
To your heart health success,
Diamond Fernandes

Medical School - Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (Diastolic Heart Failure)
Brief discussion of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, otherwise known as diastolic heart failure. Heart failure has become one of the most common causes for hospitalizations in the elderly. Though there are no cures for heart failure besides heart transplantation there are medical regimens that have been shown to improve survival. Understanding the difference between the types of heart failure is important in recognizing and identifying the treatments.

TRANSCRIPT:
The heart is a complex, vital organ. At its simplest, it is a pump—a pump we cannot live without. Each day, the average heart moves over 6000 quarts of blood throughout the body. And like all pumps, it can run into problems and eventually fail. When this occurs, it is called heart failure, but the term heart failure doesn't actually mean that the heart has stopped entirely. After a lifetime of strenuous work, a failing heart is simply no longer strong enough to keep up with the demands of the body. This article focuses on congestive heart failure (CHF)—what causes it, its risk factors and how it is treated.
The Normal, Healthy Heart
The heart is an amazing organ; each day, it beats nearly 100,000 times to provide our bodies with a steady flow of blood. When the heart pumps, its left and right sides contract, or squeeze, in unison. The left side of the heart pumps blood out to the body while the right side pumps blood to the lungs. The heart typically functions as follows: The heart's main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, is located on the left side of the heart. It pumps blood to the body, delivering nutrients and oxygen to all of our organs. After reaching the smallest of blood vessels in our bodies—called capillaries—and delivering its cargo of oxygen and nutrients, it returns via a large vessel (called the vena cava) to the right side of the heart. The right ventricle then pumps this blood to the lungs, where the red blood cells pick up more oxygen and gets rid of carbon dioxide, that we exhale as we breathe out. The oxygenated blood then returns to the left side of the heart to begin this cycle all over again.
The Failing Heart
Heart failure is typically a chronic (meaning long-standing), progressive (meaning it gets worse) condition that causes the heart to weaken. Chronic means that the condition is long-standing, and progressive means that it gets worse over time. The weakened heart either is not strong enough to pump enough oxygen-rich blood to the body or does not fill with enough blood. Heart failure can affect the left, the right, or both sides of the heart. Left-sided heart failure is the most common type of heart failure, and there are two sub-types:
In Systolic heart failure, the left ventricle of the heart cannot contract with enough force to push adequate blood into circulation;
In Diastolic heart failure, the left ventricle loses its ability to relax and so it cannot fill with sufficient blood in between heartbeats.
Heart failure can also affect the right side of the heart. When this occurs, the right ventricle loses its pumping function, leading to excess fluid accumulation in the body. Right-sided failure often develops after failure has started in the left side of the heart.

How did you become involved with Undercover?
I don’t even know how many years ago it was, but I do remember my first set of Undercover wheels. I clearly remember instantly falling in love/victim to the obsession I have with them. Since then, I doubt that I have even given any other wheels the opportunity to be in my frames for more then a single session. The very first time I rode UC’s was when I was handed down a used set from Richie E. Yet with their very first low quality core’s which had been numerously cracked by their previous owner, I still choose to ride them over my once thought to be adequate wheel brand. Because the quality of the urethane was so superior, that even with cracked cores, they allowed me to roll twice as fast as the last. And that grip! It was obvious why I kept taking all the second hand UC’s I could get. Until through a couple of friendly connections, I began to get flown the continual fix I needed for my addiction to the best quality of wheel possible.
What are your thoughts on the wheels?
Umm, I think I just answered this question with my first answer. I dig them. A lot!
How long have you been skating? why do you skate?
For just over the last and best 10 years of my life… Those years have so deeply and intensely moulded my body and brain, that they have unquestionably made me who I am today. So much so, that a single day can not pass, without a single blading related thought or idea finding itself entering my mind. But, I’d bet on average there are multiple hundreds of them a day. So with it being so naturally wired into my being, I really feel like I don’t have a choice anymore. For as dumb as it may sound, blading is just as much a part of me as my beating heart.
What was it like to shoot this section?
It was a dream. I’ve always wanted to skate Barcelona. The city seems to be designed for my style of skating. The endless perfectly hilly, smooth, tight, interwinding, cement city streets, completely infested with unfathomable “skate spots” on every street corner, in every park and every courtyard, made with such unique design, that they appear to be waiting for interaction. It’s a picturesque skating paradise. I look forward to the summer ahead, and the blading to be done and documented. Cause although this one was a pleasure, I now look forward to skating even more of my own style of spots, and not the ones which I am led to, usually with the purpose of photographing other skaters and their amazing talents. I am appreciative of these opportunities, as I have enjoyed the crews and sessions so far, thus producing the tricks seen in this edit.
So what’s the story with that lady?
We were playing on this little pad, when this woman in a biohazard uniform came around squirting syrup all over the scene. It’s the most interesting spanish skate stopper attempt i’ve seen yet. The spot was a sticky mess on arrival, maybe from past success, or probably failure of shoeing away us who find a different use of this object worth fighting over. I thank her for actually assisting me in getting the clip, which was made possible with that little extra slip.

What About God's Will for Me?
JOURNEY 2010: LIVING IN THE WILL OF GOD: WHAT ABOUT GOD'S WILL FOR ME?
Journey 2010 is about having a church comprised of people who have individually decided to follow God's Will in their daily lives.
INTRO
Most people are on guard when they spend private face time with their Pastor. Especially if you are a bit older and have been in church a few years. You may have known a pastor who used your or a friends situation as a sermon illustration. You may have experienced the judgmental statements of a pastor. So we normally treat a visit with the pastor as an interrogation at the local police precinct. We watch what we say and what we do. We make sure everything is put up, nothing lying around that shouldn't be.
Personally I would rather visit people when they are lying on a gurney waiting to be operated on. They tend to be more honest. You can tell if they are anxious. Transparent honesty is such a rare thing anymore. We wonder about our politicians, our church leaders, our teachers. We grow up learning to question, exactly because we have seen so much dishonesty
I know some of you question the truth of God's will. To most everyone under the age of 35, the subject of God's Will is strange, foreign, and for the most part irrelevant. We believe that live happens. God rarely has anything to do with it.
Let me assure you, whatever your concept about the importance of the will of God, what you think is not truth. We are easily deceived into believing any old lie the world or the devil wants us to believe. What matters is the Word of God!
This Word is Life, not just for after you are dead, but it is Life NOW! It is health, it is forgiveness, it is peace, it is hope, it is safety, it is security, it is the most powerful force this world has ever know. I can say this because this word says that Jesus Christ is the Word. No other person in the Universe ever lived a sinless life, ever faced Satan one on one and defeated Him, ever stared death in its face and defeated it! If you fail to give your life totally to Jesus Christ, you are robbing yourself of real Life. You are robbing yourself of the very presence of God! You are robbing yourself of ever being a part in the will of God. You may think you know God, but you are believing a lie. Your mind is dark, you are confused and stumbling over the falsehoods of your mind. One day instead of waking to an eternal life of joy in the presence of God, you will wake in the agonies of Hell, screaming in torment for all eternity, ever sorrowful because you knew the truth but you rejected it. There will be no second chance.
WHAT IS GOD'S WILL FOR ME?
We are looking at what the will of God for me is. And number one, the will of God for you is to know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. He doesn't want part of you, even three quarters of you. He doesn't want to be just one of your beliefs, and share space with Hinduism, Buddhism, humanism, or even you ism. He must be your GOD! Anything less and your mind is fooling you. You are lost in a lie. You will never know God's Will. This is because you put your will first.
So what is the will of God for me and for you? It is to put Him First! It is to Trust completely and confidently in Him.
Now I know you are thinking how much easier it would be if you could sit down at Applebee's and have a nice long lunch with Jesus. I assure you that football would not be the topic of conversation. Who is going to win the Super bowl would be the farthest thing from your mind. You would want to know what He thinks of your life, if you are going in the right direction. You would want clarity on His will for your life. You would want to know what you should be doing for Him.
If life was only that simple. So many decisions we make.
We make decisions and then our decisions make us.
Should I go to college? Which one? What should I major in?
Should I get married? Which one?
I can't stand my job. Should I look for another, or should I just quit and hope something pops up?
A friend of mine wants me to share a place with him. Should I? Should I live at home?
I'm getting ready to retire? Can I afford to? Where should we live?
We have two children. We’re thinking about having a third. Should we have another one? Or should we think about adopting?
I feel like God is wanting me to go into the ministry. What does He want me to do? Missions, Youth, Pastor?
I told each of my children that in order for them to get married, they had to go to college. I also did not want them to go to state colleges. I also wanted them to live on campus.
No state college because I wanted them to apply to colleges that were a bit more difficult to get into, so it made them work harder on their grades. Live in the dorms because I wanted them to grow up faster, face decisions on their own, what types of friends were best for them, how to manage money, how to do laundry, all the things they need to learn to live on their own.
So our children moved away, Pepp

Sacred Marriage 2: The Refining Fire (How to Make a Great Rub)
We are all in the gutter, but some of us look at the stars-Oscar Wilde
They dream in courtship, but in wedlock wake…Alexander Pope
Because marriage, more than any other relationship, reflects God’s involvement with us and bears more potential to draw our hearts to heaven, it can more readily give us a taste of hell (Dan Allender & Tremper Longman III)
We all associate the image of fire with hell. And many marriages in American have gone through this fire of Hell. Whether the marriage ends or the couple stays together, marriage is seen by some as hell on earth.
The Apostle Peter was well acquainted with fire.
He denied Jesus while warming his hands over fire. Jesus questioned his love while fish were roasting over fire. In both cases he associated fire with a test. One he failed another he passed. I think that is why he wrote these verses in 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT):
1 Peter 4:12-13 (NLT) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.
1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT) So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
Fire is certainly viewed as destructive and dangerous. Fires destroy forests, but fires also lead to renewal. Fire burns away the dross surrounding certain metals and reveals the pure gold or silver. The fires of life can destroy our marriage, or, if survived, purify our marriage. The fires of our marriage can draw our hearts to heaven or leave us with the taste of hell.
In the movie Fireproof
Captain Caleb Holt (Kirk Cameron) is a firefighter in Albany, Georgia. His seven-year marriage to Catherine is falling apart. Neither one understands the pressures the other faces, and after a heated argument in which Caleb screams in Catherine's face, she declares she wants out of the marriage, and takes off her wedding ring.
While Caleb claims to his friends and co-workers that Catherine is over-sensitive and disrespectful, Catherine simultaneously claims to her peers that Caleb is insensitive to her needs and doesn't listen to her. Further catalyzing Catherine's motivation for divorce is Caleb's addiction to Internet pornography and a large sum of money ($24,000, to be exact) he has saved up for a fishing boat he intends to buy, ignoring the fact that Catherine's disabled mother is in need of hospital equipment that she cannot afford, and which insurance refuses to cover. Caleb tells his father John about the impending divorce, and John challenges Caleb to commit to a 40-day test called, "The Love Dare." Caleb reluctantly agrees to do the test, but more for the sake of his father than his marriage. Catherine initially sees through Caleb's half-hearted attempts to win back her heart, which deepens Caleb's frustration. But with his father's encouragement, Caleb continues with The Love Dare, and eventually makes a life-changing commitment to God, unbeknownst to Catherine.
The movie has some various twists but the end result is Caleb and Catherine realize they need each other, and at the end they renew their vows in an outdoor ceremony, this time as a covenant with God. Their marriage is FIREPROOF.
Marriage is a Covenant
Did you see your marriage vows as a marriage Covenant? Did both you and your spouse get married knowing you were making a covenant before God! You did, whether you realized it or not.
Definition: a binding and solemn agreement to do or keep from doing a specified thing; compact
We know of Covenants from the Bible. God put a rainbow in the sky as a covenant that He would never destroy the world by rain. He made a Covenant with Abraham, He made a Covenant with David, He made a Covenant with all who by faith believe in Jesus Christ. That Covenant was sealed by the blood and body of Jesus.
When we get married, we enter into a covenant before God. In a Covenant, you make a binding agreement to stay with this woman or man until they die. In that Covenant we also promise to do so and so.
Most people believe “Well, my husband broke his promise to love me, or take care of me or so and so, so it’s OK for me to break my promise to him.” Or, well my wife is no longer the person I married, so my vow does not apply.
WE draw a line in our marriage
“I’ll keep my end of the covenant as long as you don’t cross over this line.” I’ll keep my word as long as you don’t … … … But as soon as you do, that’s it, I’m out of here!
That would be OK if marriage
