"Finaldestination 12345"
Final Destination is a 2000 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wong. The screenplay was written by Glen Morgan, Wong and Jeffrey Reddick, based on a story by Reddick. The film stars Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Kerr Smith, and Tony Todd. Sawa portrays a teenager who "cheats death" after having a premonition of himself and others perishing in a plane explosion and uses it by saving himself and a handful of other passengers, but is continued to be stalked by Death by claiming back their lives which should have been lost in the plane.
The film was based on a spec script intended for The X-Files, written by Reddick. X-Files writing partners Wong and Morgan were interested and agreed to re-write and direct a feature film of it, marking Wong's film directing debut.Filming took place in Alabama and Vancouver. Final Destination was released on 17 March 2000, and was a financial success, making $10 million on its opening weekend. The film score was released on the same date comprising original compositions by Shirley Walker. The film was released on DVD on 26 September 2000 in the USA and Canada, which includes commentaries, deleted scenes, and documentaries.
The film received mixed reviews from critics; where negative reviews classified the film as "dramatically flat" and "aimed at the teen dating crowd", while positive reviews praised the film for "generating a respectable amount of suspense", "playful and energized enough to keep an audience guessing" and as "an unexpectedly alert teen-scream disaster chiller".It received the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film and Best Performance by a Younger Actor for Sawa's performance. The film's success spawned four sequels composed of Final Destination 2 (2003), Final Destination 3 (2006), The Final Destination (2009) and Final Destination 5 (2011), all distributed by New Line Cinema; as well as a series of novels and comic books published by Black Flame and Zenescope Entertainment respectively.
Box office
The film premiered in 2,587 theaters across the United States and Canada on 17 March 2000, earning $10,015,822 on its opening weekend with an average of $3,871 per theater. Final Destination placed at #3 in the United States box office on its opening weekend, behind biography film Erin Brockovich and the science fiction film Mission to Mars. The film remained at #3 on the next weekend before dropping to #7 on its third weekend. The film continuously dropped on the next weekends until it was removed from the top-ten list on its eighth weekend. The film lasted in theaters for 22 weekends, its last screening airing in 105 theaters and grossing $52,675, placing in #56.Final Destination grossed $53,331,147 in the United States and Canada on its total screening and earned $59,549,147 in other territories, having an overall gross of $112,880,294 internationally.

Dreams On Spec
"Dreams on Spec" takes an intimate look at how far people will go - and how much they will sacrifice - for the chance to pursue their dreams. This feature-length documentary delves into the lives of three aspiring Hollywood screenwriters as they pour their hearts into their spec scripts, pitch their ideas to anyone who will listen, go to meetings, hold table reads, and work at low-level day-jobs - all in the hopes of one day seeing one of their beloved creations made into a movie. These poignant portraits are intercut with wisdom from a "Greek Chorus" of superstar Hollywood creative-types like James L. Brooks, Nora Ephron, Gary Ross, and Carrie Fisher to forge a funny and compelling look at inspiration, creativity, and solitude in the movie industry.

GDTDH 03-Die Hard With A Vengeance(1995) Movie Review
"On a good day he's a great cop. On a bad day he's the best there is."
John McClane, officer of the NYPD and hero of both the Nakatomi Hostage Crisis and the Dulles International Airport Crisis, must join forces with a Harlem shop owner to prevent Simon, brother of the late Hans Gruber and serial bomber, from stealing billions of dollars worth of gold from the Federal Reserve Building in New York City.
Starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Irons, Graham Greene, Colleen Camp, Larry Bryggmann, Anthony Peck, Nicholas Wyman, and Sam Phillips.
Directed by John McTiernan.
Trivia
First version of the screenplay was based on a spec script by James Haggin called "Troubleshooter" which involved terrorists seizing control of a Caribbean cruise ship. The idea was abandoned after Steven Seagal's Under Siege went into production. In 1992 John Milius was hired to write another version of the story. In 1993 Doug Richardson and John Fasano simultaneously worked on two separate Die Hard 3 scripts which were both rejected by Bruce Willis. This time the plot was concerned with terrorists taking control of the L.A. subway system.
Originally titled "Simon Says" (where Zeus was scripted as a woman) and was considered as the third sequel to Lethal Weapon.
The sandwich board that Bruce Willis wore while filming in Harlem said "I hate every body" rather than the more racist version that appears in the film. The sign was changed with CGI in post-production to read "I Hate Niggers", though the "I hate every body" version is used for some television broadcasts of the film.
The sex scene between Jeremy Irons and Sam Phillips was added in at the last minute because John McTiernan knew that the film would get an R rating and he might as well put a sex scene in.
Laurence Fishburne was the original choice to play Zeus Carver, but turned down the part. When he reconsidered the decision, Samuel L. Jackson was already cast.
Jonathan Hensleigh was actually detained by the FBI after completing the script for the film because he knew extensive information about the Federal Gold Reserve in Downtown Manhattan. Hensleigh stated that he got all the information from an article written in the New York Times.
Sam Phillips, in real life a pop singer, was invited to test for the role based upon a photo from one of her CD covers.
Jeremy Irons replaced David Thewlis
Sean Connery was John McTiernan's very first choice for the role of Simon Gruber. He turned down the role, saying that he didn't want to play such a diabolical villain.
Danny Cannon was approached to direct but he was more interested in making Judge Dredd at the time.
