Madiba hospitalised for lung infection
The Presidency has confirmed that former President Nelson Mandela was admitted to hospital just before midnight on Wednesday evening, due to the “recurrence of his lung infection”.

13 SA soldiers confirmed dead in CAR  
Thirteen South African soldiers have been confirmed dead after clashes with the rebel alliance known as Seleka in the Central African Republic (CAR), President Jacob Zuma said on Monday (25 March 2013).

South Africa and Russia sign fisheries cooperation intent
No fisheries products are exported by South Africa to Russia at the moment. The statement of intent recognises the importance of technical and economic cooperation among developing countries through the exchange of information, experience and research in the field of fisheries as beneficial to the interests of our country and the citizens of Russia.

Science and Technology signs agreement on RadioAstron space satellite
Speaking in Durban, Minister Hanekom said: 'This agreement not only confirms a strategic role we can play in the area of global space science and technology due to our geographic location in the Southern Hemisphere but also provides an opportunity to use space science and technology to contribute towards socio-economic development.'
