The biggest U.S. flag in the state of Utah is hung between the canyon walls of Grove Creek Canyon for one of the most powerful flag ceremonies that I've ever seen. Kyle Fox and Ron Nix really did a great job rallying local scout troops to get "Old Glory" up the mountain, and put forth a HUGE amount of effort spanning three days to get a rope across the canyon. The speakers and musicians were great, and the scouts were great examples of what young men can and should be. Thanks for your hard work guys.
My drones were offline today, so I shot video from the ground and it was a really neat thing to watch evolve and come to fruition. Special thanks to Brandon Bingham for the epic aerial shots, to Pleasant Grove city for supporting the project, and to the Forest Service for catching the vision!

How Surprised was I to see The Netherlands Flag in... UTAH?? Really...WOW http://www.1ownercarguy.com and this is just a quickie from My ROad Trip but I just Couldent believe that Hollands Flag is on the Public Transport Busses in Salt Lake City. This should be a Top News Story a HUGE Report..;-) I even went as far as to call and get juggled around and called a few more numbers. the Peopke were VERY Helpful But not a 1 of them Had a CLUE that the had the flag of Holland on the Mass Transport Busses... Nice busses too and the town is a clean nice town. I just HAD to upload this to show Fellow Youtubers

UTA's bus fares are fixed price, based on the service type. Paper transfers are issued and valid for use on other buses and TRAX. TRAX fares are similarly fixed price, with the option to buy a 2-ride ticket. FrontRunner fares are distance-based.
Numerous fare products are available, including monthly passes purchased at local stores, passes for university students and employer-sponsored passes. A variety of discounts and discount passes are available for eligible riders.
On January 1, 2009, UTA launched an Automated Fare Collection System to collect fares with contactless smart cards. [6] [7] [8] As the first full AFC System in the USA to accept contactless bank cards (ExpressPay, Zip from Discover, PayPass and PayWave), the UTA system, implemented in conjunction with Vix Technology, received the 2009 Innovation Award from the American Public Transportation Association [9] and the 2009 Sesames Transportation Award. [10]
The Utah Transit Authority traces its roots to 1953 when several bus companies united to form the organization. Ironically, among the constitutive companies of UTA was National City Lines, which bought out and decommissioned the trolleys from the Utah Light and Traction Company in the 1940s. The Traction company operated electric trolleys in Salt Lake City neighborhoods like the Avenues.
Bus service in the 1950s became unpopular with low gas prices and subsidized construction of highways like Interstate 15. By 1960 bus ridership was only about one third the level of war-time Salt Lake, and the average age of riders was 14.
In 1969, the Utah State Legislature passed the Utah Public Transit District Act, which allows individual communities to address transportation needs by forming local transit districts.
UTA was founded in March 1970 when the cities of Sandy, Salt Lake and Murray voted to form a transit district. Today, UTA's service area is over 1,400 square miles (3,600 km2) and covers six counties: Box Elder, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah and Weber.
UTA strove to streamline the bus system and only in the 1970s connected the east and west sides of the Salt Lake Valley. In 1976 UTA began offering ski service to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Today, UTA offers "ski service" buses to the Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude ski resorts.
In March 2007, UTA began holding open houses to receive community input on a plan to completely overhaul the bus system in Salt Lake County. The final redesign plan was approved on May 23, 2007, and was implemented on August 26. The plan has received widespread praise, as well as widespread criticism.[1][dead link]

Flag of Utah
The flag of the State of Utah was adopted in February 2011 and consists of the seal of Utah encircled in a golden circle on a background of dark navy blue. It replaced a previous flag that had been in use since 1913.
Symbolism
A bald eagle, the national bird of the United States, symbolizes protection in peace and war. The sego lily, the state flower of Utah, represents peace. The state motto "Industry" and the beehive represent progress and hard work. The U.S. flags show Utah's support and commitment to the United States. The state name "Utah" appears below the beehive. The date 1847 represents the year the Mormon pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley, while 1896 represents the year that Utah was admitted as the 45th state to the Union.
In 2001, the North American Vexillological Association surveyed its members on the designs of all 72 U.S. state, U.S. territorial and Canadian provincial flags. Utah's flag was ranked 58th out of the 72 flags.
History
The flag's basic design uses the Seal of Utah which was adopted by the state legislature on April 3, 1896. The seal was designed by artist Harry Edwards, and has similarities with the seal of the Utah Territory. The state's first flag was created in March 1903 to be used at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri. Heber M. Wells, the governor of Utah, asked the Utah State Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution to oversee the creation of a flag. On May 1, 1903, the governor and his delegation marched, under the new flag, in the parade of states. The flag was blue, with the state seal and the year '1896' hand-embroidered in white thread in the flag's center. Initially this flag was known as the "Governor's Flag" until Senate Joint Resolution 17 was passed by the legislature on March 9, 1911, making it the official state flag.

Utah (/ˈjuːtɔː/ or

Utah is the most religiously homogeneous state in the United States, the only state with a Mormon majority, and the only state with a majority population belonging to a single church.

The biggest U.S. flag in the state of Utah is hung between the canyon walls of Grove Creek Canyon for one of the most powerful flag ceremonies that I've ever seen. Kyle Fox and Ron Nix really did a great job rallying local scout troops to get "Old Glory" up the mountain, and put forth a HUGE amount of effort spanning three days to get a rope across the canyon. The speakers and musicians were great, and the scouts were great examples of what young men can and should be. Thanks for your hard work guys. My drones were offline today, so I shot video from the ground and it was a really neat thing to watch evolve and come to fruition. Special thanks to Brandon Bingham for the epic aerial shots, to Pleasant Grove city for supporting the project, and to the Forest Service for catching the v... -

Really...WOW http://www.1ownercarguy.com and this is just a quickie from My ROad Trip but I just Couldent believe that Hollands Flag is on the Public Transport Busses in Salt Lake City. This should be a Top News Story a HUGE Report..;-) I even went as far as to call and get juggled around and called a few more numbers. the Peopke were VERY Helpful But not a 1 of them Had a CLUE that the had the flag of Holland on the Mass Transport Busses... Nice busses too and the town is a clean nice town. UTA's bus fares are fixed price, based on the service type. Paper transfers are issued and valid for use on other buses and TRAX. TRAX fares are similarly fixed price, with the option to buy a 2-ride ticket. FrontRunner fares are distance-based.
Numerous fare products are available, including monthly passes purchased at local stores, passes for university students and employer-sponsored passes. A variety of discounts and discount passes are available for eligible riders.
On January 1, 2009, UTA launched an Automated Fare Collection System to collect fares with contactless smart cards. [6] [7] [8] As the first full AFC System in the USA to accept contactless bank cards (ExpressPay, Zip from Discover, PayPass and PayWave), the UTA system, implemented in conjunction with Vix Technology, received the 2009 Innovation Award from the American Public Transportation Association [9] and the 2009 Sesames Transportation Award. [10]
The Utah Transit Authority traces its roots to 1953 when several bus companies united to form the organization. Ironically, among the constitutive companies of UTA was National City Lines, which bought out and decommissioned the trolleys from the Utah Light and Traction Company in the 1940s. The Traction company operated electric trolleys in Salt Lake City neighborhoods like the Avenues.
Bus service in the 1950s became unpopular with low gas prices and subsidized construction of highways like Interstate 15. By 1960 bus ridership was only about one third the level of war-time Salt Lake, and the average age of riders was 14.
In 1969, the Utah State Legislature passed the Utah Public Transit District Act, which allows individual communities to address transportation needs by forming local transit districts.
UTA was founded in March 1970 when the cities of Sandy, Salt Lake and Murray voted to form a transit district. Today, UTA's service area is over 1,400 square miles (3,600 km2) and covers six counties: Box Elder, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah and Weber.
UTA strove to streamline the bus system and only in the 1970s connected the east and west sides of the Salt Lake Valley. In 1976 UTA began offering ski service to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Today, UTA offers "ski service" buses to the Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude ski resorts.
In March 2007, UTA began holding open houses to receive community input on a plan to completely overhaul the bus system in Salt Lake County. UTA's bus fares are fixed price, based on the service type. Paper transfers are issued and valid for use on other buses and TRAX. TRAX fares are similarly fixed price, with the option to buy a 2-ride ticket. FrontRunner fares are distance-based.
Numerous fare products are available, including monthly passes purchased at local stores, passes for university students and employer-sponsored passes. A variety of discounts and discount passes are available for eligible riders.
On January 1, 2009, UTA launched an Automated Fare Collection System to collect fares with contactless smart cards. [6] [7] [8] As the first full AFC System in the USA to accept contactless bank cards (ExpressPay, Zip from Discover, PayPass and PayWave), the UTA system, implemented in conjunction with Vix Technology, received the 2009 Innovation Award from the American Public Transportation Association [9] and the 2009 Sesames Transportation Award. [10]
The Utah Transit Authority traces its roots to 1953 when several bus companies united to form the organization. Ironically, among the constitutive companies of UTA was National City Lines, which bought out and decommissioned the trolleys from the Utah Light and Traction Company in the 1940s. The Traction company operated electric trolleys in Salt Lake City neighborhoods like the Avenues.
Bus service in the 1950s became unpopular with low gas prices and subsidized construction of highways like Interstate 15. By 1960 bus ridership was only about one third the level of war-time Salt Lake, and the average age of riders was 14.
In 1969, the Utah State Legislature passed the Utah Public Transit District Act, which allows individual communities to address transportation needs by forming local transit districts.
UTA was founded in March 1970 when the cities of Sandy, Salt Lake and Murray voted to form a transit district. Today, UTA's service area is over 1,400 square miles (3,600 km2) and covers six counties: Box Elder, Davis, Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah and Weber.
UTA strove to streamline the bus system and only in the 1970s connected the east and west sides of the Salt Lake Valley. In 1976 UTA began offering ski service to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Today, UTA offers "ski service" buses to the Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, and Solitude ski resorts.
In March 2007, UTA began holding open houses to receive community input on a plan to completely overhaul the bus system in Salt Lake County. The final redesign plan was approved on May 23, 2007, and was implemented on August 26. The plan has received widespread praise, as well as widespread criticism.[1][dead link]
