http://www.frettedamericana.com/gretsch_6120_chet_atkins_hollow_body_third_version_1957-d-1014-0.html
This 'third-version' "Holy Grail of Gretsches" weighs just 6.90 lbs. and has a nice, fat nut width of 1 11/16 inches and a scale length of 24 1/2 inches. Two and seven eighths inch thick double-bound laminated maple body with two double-bound 'f' holes. Two-piece maple neck with ebony center strip with a very comfortable medium profile. Brazilian rosewood fretboard with original aluminum nut, 22 original small frets and inlaid pearloid hump-top block position markers. Pearloid plastic, horse-shoe headstock inlay set into a mahogany-stained, maple peghead overlay. Inlaid mother-of-pearl Gretsch "T-roof" logo and two layer (black on white) dome shaped plastic truss-rod cover with three screws. Gold-plated Grover StaTite open-back tuners with small oval metal buttons. Two DeArmond (Gretsch Dynasonic) pickups, the neck pickup with an output of 10.25k. and the bridge pickup with an output of 10.20k. Gold Lucite pickguard with pantograph-engraved Gretsch "T-roof" logo and "Chet Atkins" signature framed in a signpost (the signpost and signature highlighted in black). Three volume controls (one for each pickup plus master volume control), one tone control, and one (pickup) selector switch. Gold-plated "Arrow-through-G" knobs with cross-hatch pattern on sides. Aluminum compensating Bigsby bridge on original rosewood base and unplated aluminum Bigsby B-6 vibrato tailpiece with pivoting arm. Rectangular Gretsch label inside bass 'f' hole with Model "6120" stamped in black and Serial No. "22488" stamped in red. Some minor discoloration to the gold-plating on the bridge pickup. A minuscule amount of belt buckle wear on the back and some minimal finish checking, as usual. Other than that, this guitar is in quite spectacular near mint (9.25) condition. The body is a deep red orange (more red than orange) with nice figuring and the front of the headstock is a rich brown. Housed in the original Gretsch (deluxe) dark brown imitation alligator hardshell case with brown plush lining (8.75).

HOLIDAY HELL'S BELLS BATMAN!!! 1958 6122 Gretsch Country Gentleman 01287
This extremely rare 'first generation' Country Gentleman weighs just 8.40
lbs. and and has a nut width of 1 11/16 inches, a really comfortable
medium-to-thiin neck profile, and a scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Laminated
maple body, two-piece mahogany neck with ebony center strip. Bound ebony
fretboard with 22 original medium/thin frets plus zero fret and neo-classic
inlaid pearl thumbprint (half-moon) position markers. With three-ply binding
on the top and the back of the guitar and single binding on the headstock
and the fretboard. Headstock with inlaid pearl Gretsch "T-roof" logo and
"The Chet Atkins Country Gentleman" nameplate engraved with serial number.
Two-layer dome-shaped plastic truss-rod cover with three slot-head screws.
Individual Grover Imperial tuners with 'stair-step' shaped metal buttons and
slot-head screws. Two Gretsch Filter'Tron 'PAF' humbuckers with outputs of
4.17k and 3.96k. Gold Lucite pickguard with Gretsch "T-roof" logo engraved
in black from underneath. Super rare first generation body with inlaid black
plastic 'f' holes. Two volume controls (one for each pickup) and master
volume control on the upper treble bout, plus two pickup and tone selector
switches on upper bass bout. Gretsch "Arrow-through-G" knobs with
cross-hatch pattern on sides. Bigsby aluminum bar bridge on original ebony
base and aluminum 'horseshoe' Bigsby 'Patent Number' vibrato tailpiece. All
hardware (except bridge and Bigsby tailpiece) gold-plated. This guitar is in
exceptionally fine (9.00) condition. The original medium/thin frets show
some playing wear and there is some surface loss on the back of the neck -
again just due to honest playing wear. This is an exceptional example of a
very rare guitar - it is the only 'first generation' country Gentleman that
we have ever seen. Housed in the original five-latch, shaped two-tone gray
hardshell with maroon plush lining (9.00).

1957 Gretsch 6131 Jet Firebird.
This wonderful guitar weighs just 7.00 lbs. and has a 13 1/4 inch wide and just under 2 inch deep chambered mahogany body with three-ply binding and a pressed arched top with the Firebird red finish. The back and sides of the body and the back of the neck are finished in black. One-piece mahogany neck with a nice fat nut width of 1 9/16 inches, a wonderful thick profile and a scale length of 24 1/2 inches. Single-bound ebony fretboard with 22 original thin frets and neo-classic inlaid pearl thumbprint (half-moon) position markers. Single-bound, walnut veneer faced headstock with inlaid pearl Gretsch "T-roof" logo. Individual open-back Grover StaTite tuners with oval metal buttons. Two single-coil DeArmond pickups with original tortoiseshell spacers and plated metal surrounds with outputs of 3.01k and 2.99k. Original silver lucite pickguard with Gretsch "T-roof" logo engraved from the underside in black (small piece of original tape on the underside with the serial number written in pencil). Four controls (two volume and one tone on lower treble bout, one master volume on upper treble bout) plus one three-way pickup selector switch on upper bass bout. "Arrow-through-G" knobs with cross-hatch pattern on sides. Original Melita six-saddle bridge on ebony base and plated cut-out "G-hole flat" tailpiece secured to the edge od the body by three screws. The potentiometers are stamped "615 7033 542" & "615 7033 607" (ROC October 1955 & February 1956). The control cavity cover is etched with the serial number "21146". The Gretsch label on the inside of the control cavity is torn away with just a small remnant remaining. There is a very small amount of belt buckle rash on the back of the body (nothing through the finish) and just one very small and insignificant surface chip on the top just by the master volume control. There is a small area on the treble waist where the triple-binding has very slightly separated away from the body. Otherwise this fifty-five year old Firebird is in exceptionally fine (9.00) condition with very little playing wear. Housed in the original Gretsch two-tone gray, five-latch, shaped hardshell case with burgundy plush lining (9.00).

Gretsch White Falcon
The Gretsch White Falcon is thought to be the cream of the crop by many Gretsch enthusiasts. With it's dazzling looks and graceful tones, the White Falcon can tackle any style imaginable, just look at the wide variety of White Falcon users since the 50's. This all-maple hollow body comes with the 1959 style trestle bracing, which supports the maple top and helps avoid feedback, very useful when paired with a set of High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers. Along with a classic master volume setup, the Gretsch White Falcon 's tonal conbinations are quick and easy with an additional 3 way switch for varying degrees of high frequency rolloff. Shining bright on the body are a gold space control roller bridge and Bigsby Vibrato for very muscial pitch bends both up and down. And it wouldn't be a Gretsch White Falcon without the gold sparkle binding, just about everywhere on this guitar from the f-holes to the V-shaped headstock. The unique Gretsch sound is completed by the crisp Ebony fingerboard loaded with Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays and 22 frets set with a 12" radius. http://proguitarshop.com/store/guitars-gretsch-guitars-c-1_667/gretsch-g6136t-white-falconbigsby-p-2521

One of the Very First 'Double-Cut' 6131 Jet Firebirds...
1961 Gretsch 6131 Jet Firebird.
This wonderful little guitar weighs just 7.30 lbs. and has a 13 1/4 inch wide and just under 2 inch deep chambered mahogany body with three-ply binding and a pressed arched top with the Firebird red finish. The back and sides of the body and the back of the neck are finished in black. One-piece mahogany neck with a nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches, a wonderful medium profile and a scale length of 24 1/2 inches. Single-bound ebony fretboard with 'Zero' and 22 medium-jumbo frets and neo-classic inlaid pearl thumbprint (half-moon) position markers. Single-bound, walnut veneer faced headstock with inlaid pearl Gretsch "T-roof" logo. Individual open-back Grover StaTite tuners with oval metal buttons. Two Filter'Tron 'Patent Number' pickups with gold plastic surrounds and outputs of 4.23k and 4.14k. Original black plastic pickguard with Gretsch "T-roof" logo engraved from the underside in white. Three controls (two volume on lower treble bout, one master volume on upper treble bout) plus two three-way selector switches (one for pickup selection and the other for tone variation) on upper bass bout and a three-way standby switch on lower treble bout. "Arrow-through-G" knobs with cross-hatch pattern on sides. Original Space Control bridge on ebony base and 'earliest' straight flat-arm Burns vibrato tailpiece with "Gretsch" engraved on top face. All hardware gold-plated. The control cavity cover is etched with the serial number. The underside of the control cavity cover has the original orange, gray and white Gretsch printed label with the Model no. "6131" stamped in blue and the Serial No. typed in black. This is one of the very earliest 'double-cut' Jet Firebirds with the straight flat-arm tremolo and before the gold-trimmed 'Gretsch' black pad was added onto the back of guitar. All hardware gold-plated. This fifty-one year old Jet Firebird has been re-fretted with medium jumbo frets and plays like a dream. There is no belt-buckle rash whatsoever and just the tiniest edge-wear on the top bass side. As is often the case with Gretsches of this period there is some very slight separation of the three-ply binding on the top in the treble and bass side cutaways. There is also some deterioration of the 'single' binding on the bass side of the headstock. Aside from the re-fret this fifty-one year old guitar is in all original and near fine condition with the exception of the aforementioned 'binding' issues so we shall only give it a (8.75) excellent-plus rating (otherwise it would have received a strong 9.25). Housed in the original Gretsch gray, four-latch shaped, hardshell with burgundy plush lining (9.00).

Gretsch Duo Jet
The Gretsch Duo Jet just oozes vintage class, with style and tone that hearkens back to the birth of rock n roll in the mid-fifties. It's chambered mahogany body and arched laminated maple top lend to it's light, resonant feel and warm tone. The one-piece set mahogany neck, 24.6" scale, and 12" radius ebony fingerboard all come together for an agile playability that makes quick chord changes and fast solos fall easily beneath your fingers. Of course the Bigsby vibrato is essential to the classic Gretsch Duo Jet "Je ne sais quoi", and this Bigsby is matched with an Ebony Base, Space Control Roller Bridge for excellent intonation and resonance. A pair of Filtertron humbucking pickups are responsible for the Gretsch Duo Jet 's fat, yet biting tone that you've heard on so many early rock n roll, country, and rockabilly records, enhanced by inidividual and master volume controls, 3-position pickup switch, and a 3-position master tone switch.

Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet
The Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet harkens back to the Gretsch solidbody guitars of the sixties, with a double-cutaway chambered mahogany body and Gold Sparkle-finished arched maple top. The Double Jet is a veritable old-school tone factory, thanks in large part to it's pair of Gretsch Mini Humbuckers. These pickups have a very even, balanced character whether clean or dirty, making the Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet as smooth or as biting as you desire. Master volume, Master Tone, and a 3-way pickup selector lend to their versatility. The unique 24.6" scale length gives the Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet that distinctive Gretsch feel, enhanced by the set mahogany neck and 12" radius, 22-fret bound rosewood fretboard. An Adjusto-Matic bridge, vintage style tuners, and a Bigsby B-50 tailpiece keep tuning and intonation solid while you get your rockabilly vibrato on.
