Mark Blake (writer)
Mark Blake is a journalist and writer. His work has been published in numerous newspapers, music and lifestyle magazines since 1989, including Q, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Mojo, Classic Rock and Daily Express.
He is the author of the 2007 music biography, Pigs Might Fly: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd, published by Aurum Press (available under the title Comfortably Numb: The Inside Story of Pink Floyd in the United States); "Stone Me: The Wit & Wisdom Of Keith Richards", (Aurum Press, 2008); "Is This The Real Life: The Untold Story of Queen" (Aurum Press, 2010).
His most recent book, "Pretend You're In A War: The Who And The Sixties" was published by Aurum Press in September 2014.
He is a former Assistant Editor of Q', and previously edited the books Dylan: Visions, Portraits and Back Pages and Punk: The Whole Story" (Dorling Kindersley, 2004 & 2005).

Mark Blake (footballer, born 1970)
Mark Anthony Blake (born 16 December 1970 in Nottingham, England) is a former English professional footballer who played in midfield for seven clubs.
Career
Blake started out as a trainee at Aston Villa, where he played a total of 31 games for Villa, scoring two goals. He had a brief loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers during early 1991, before leaving Villa for Portsmouth in August 1993 for £400,000.
He played just 15 games for Portsmouth before he returned to the Midlands less than eight months later when Leicester City paid £360,000 for him in March 1994 on transfer deadline day, two months before they won promotion to the Premier League.
He made 47 appearances for Leicester in two years before he dropped through the leagues to join Walsall. He spent two seasons at Walsall before his contract expired and he signed for Mansfield Town in August 1999. After two seasons and 83 league games he made his final move to Kidderminster Harriers.

Mark Blake (born 9 September 1985) is a former Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A tap ruckman,2.00 metres (6 ft 7 in) tall and weighing 102 kilograms (225 lb), Blake played 99 games for Geelong between 2005 and 2010, including the 2009 AFL Premiership.
Career
Blake was drafted in the 2003 AFL Draft under the father-son rule, he debuted in 2005 in a losing game in front of a crowd of 28,165 at the SCG. Blake kicked his first two career goals against Richmond at Skilled Stadium in Round 18, 2007.
After having little impact in the 2007 preliminary final against Collingwood, Blake was dropped on the eve of the 2007 AFL Grand Final for former Geelong captain and ruckman, Steven King.
2008 was a successful year for Blake, seeing him permanently become a part of Geelong's ruck duo along with Brad Ottens. Blake developed as a footballer substantially in 2008 and has improved his around the ground work.
