BBC News' pre-show report on Pink Floyd's first night at Wembley Stadium in August 1988. Having not performed in the UK or Europe in 1987, and having not peformed in the UK since the final Wall performance on June 17th 1981 at Earls Court, the band had a lot to live up to. However, the band peformed two blistering shows. As of 2010, it is the bands only dates at Wembley Stadium, opting to play the Docklands Arena in July 1989 and most famously Earls Court in 1994, and with the sad passing of Richard Wright, it seems likely there may be no more Pink Floyd :(
