A new exhibition at the British Museum features sculptures made up to 40000 years ago. Dr. Alice Roberts meets curator Jill Cook to discuss three artefacts in the collection; the Lion Man, a group of female figurines from Siberia, and the oldest known flute. Despite being made thousands of years ago, the objects show that the minds of their creators - our ancestors - were incredibly similar to our own. When the flute was first discovered the finding was published in Nature. Hi everyone, I would like to share with you all my son's journey. His name is Adamo Aldana, he is 7 years old. After waiting on wait list after wait list for 2 1/2 years, he was diagnosed with Autism, PDD NOS, and ADHD last year. This was a long journey for us to get a confirmed diagnosis, but we made it through and we are grateful for the services that we received. Adamo is a fun loving child who is very intelligent, funny, caring, and kind. He lacks the ability to have social interactions with others, and sometimes says the wrong things at the wrong time. Currently, Adamo is on more waiting lists to obtain services to help him gain the ability to grow on his social skills, how to interact with others, and to be able to contain his frustrations that he sometimes may have in social interactions. Being a mother who sees first hand how Autism can affect someone, and the impact it may have on family members who do not understand the diagnosis as much as they would like to, and seeing the lack of awareness about this diagnosis makes people who are un educated about this diagnosis ignorant towards an Autistic Child's symptoms. Adamo and his family will be walking for the Walk Now For Autism Speaks on May 26, 2013. We have set a goal to raise $500.00 to go to Autism Speaks Canada. " Adalat is a show - Promoolving around KD Pathak, a suave, sophisticated, witty and yet unconventional lawyer who is known as a 'Houdini' in circles of law because he can get his clients out of the tightest of situations. His success rate of acquittals is 100 percent. But most importantly KD stands not for his client, but for Justice. KD has an amazing eye for detail and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He always seems to know enough about every profession, and what he doesn't know he covers up/makes up with his smartness. A quick thinker. KD steps into a case when all is doomed for the accused. All the doors are shut. When the prosecution has prepared a water tight open and shut case where even a blind man can tell that the accused is guilty. But no one can see the case from the angle KD does. He digs fervently for loopholes in the prosecution's case much to their frustration and thinking on his feet, he manages to turn the entire case around. Often through histrionics, magical gimmicks (since he has recently started learning magic ... and uses a parallel between magic and justice... that often what we see is not all... there is something beyond it), performances, which the Judge does not approve of ! And nor does his ex-love Maya (The Prosecutor who is often at the receiving end!) - But that is KD. Unstoppable, incorrigible and completely enthralling and entertaining.
