One very strong Planetary Alignment (Earth-Sun-Venus-Mars), supported by two other alignments (Mercury-Sun-Jupiter) and ( Mercury-Mars-Saturn) fall during this time-frame with an added influence involving the Asteroid Ceres and astrological aspects involving Pluto indicate a potential for a 7.5 Magnitude earthquake on either one of these forecasted days. Bereits zum vierten Mal lädt das Mainzer performance art depot im Rahmen des Kultursommers Rheinland-Pfalz zu seinem Internationalen Performance Festival ein. Vom 27. April bis 6. Mai heißt es Vorhang auf für alternative und innovative Theaterformen aus aller Welt. Künstler aus Japan, Bulgarien, Großbritannien, Dänemark und der Schweiz zeigen Produktionen aus den Bereichen Live-Art, zeitgenössisches Tanztheater, Multimediaperformance und Performance-Improvisation. Zusätzlich bieten im Begleitprogramm Künstlergespräche und Workshops Einblicke in das kreative Schaffen der Künstler. Wieder mit dabei ist der aus Japan stammende und in London lebende Bühnendesigner Mamoru Iriguchi. In seiner multimedialen Performance „Journey from a Man to a Woman (and back)" beleuchtet Iriguchi auf gewohnt charmant- surrealistische und humorvolle Art das Geschlechterverhältnis im Wandel der Zeit. Die Performance-Schule „Art In Action", ein Zusammenschluss von unabhängigen bulgarischen Künstlern, stellt gleich an zwei Abenden des Festivals ihre jahrelange Erfahrung unter Beweis. Orlin Dvorianov und drei seiner ehemaligen Schüler schaffen in ihren beiden Performances „Allegro piu non troppo" und „Aporia of the Closeness" mit ungewöhnlichem Körpereinsatz im Umgang mit verrückten und abstrakten Objekten, mit Videoprojektionen und Klangkompositionen beeindruckende Szenarien, die sich als Skizzen oder Assoziationen zu philosophischen Ideen verstehen. Die Londoner Choreografin Marie Brenneis, die auch letztes Jahr mit ihrer Gruppe „Dollyolli" das Festivalpublikum mit ihren schrillen Choreografien überraschte, wird eigens für das diesjährige Festival eine Tanz-Performance mit Mainzer Darstellern entwickeln. Diesjährige Neuentdeckung ist das Künstlerkollektiv „deRothfils" aus Bern. Ihre tänzerische Inszenierung einer volkstümlichen Geistersage (der „Graatzug") ist eine innovative Verbindung von Tanz und Theater, die den Zuschauer in den Bann zieht. Annika B. Lewis, Schauspielerin, Sängerin, Regisseurin, Choreografin, Tänzerin und Performance Künstlerin aus Aarhus (Dänemark) präsentiert am letzten Abend des Festivals mit ihrem Team „Kassandra Productions" zwei sehr unterschiedliche Performances: "Life Hacking", ein expressionistisches, bizarres und mit elektronischer Musik untermaltes Tanzstück, das Werte der heutigen Konsumgesellschaft hinterfragt, und "Let's Get Personal", eine Solo-Performance mit Annika Lewis als lebhafte Motivatorin in einem ironischen Zuschauer-Kurs für Selbstdarstellung und Persönlichkeitsoptimierung.
