How to Remove & Replace the Heat Shield´s on your PS3 (FULL TUTORIAL) By:NS©
Hi & Welcome at my Channel
If your Console gets to fast hot, the Fan turns to loud and to fast, if your console gets off quikly and Red blinking with Beep sounds, then you can be sure that you need to do this like on my Video.
The problem is the thermal coumpond "inside" the GPU/CPU Chips.
For this you need to open the heat shield, then you need to clean the old thermal coumpond, and then you need to add new thermal coumpond!
You can take and use a Rozor Blade Scaber to open the CPU heat shield!
Consoles that are NOT moded, thei will end like this, cause thei are to often to hot!
Thats why i keep saying, Mod your console like on my other Videos, so this will not happen to you!
If you got some questions, then feel free to leave me a comment and subscribe my Channel if you like my work.
Have fun and Enjoy ;)

HeatShield(TM) Instructions
These are the instructions for the BEST Heatshields(TM) an effective, high tech simple way to shield heat sensitive components during reflow/rework. This ceramic-based non-woven material, when properly deployed, will protect components so that they do not have to be removed during the rework process. In addition, neighboring devices will not be damaged nor will the solder joints be subject to reflow temperatures.

NASA: Testing New Heat Shield Technology (July 12 2012)
The first launch attempt for the third Inflatable Reentry Vehicle Experiment (IRVE-3) is currently (i.e., as of July 12) scheduled for July 21, 2012.
IRVE-3 is an innovative inflatable heat shield technology that could allow engineers to navigate much larger instrument packages through atmospheres than the rigid heat shields we use today.

DIY: Repairing an Exhaust Heat Shield Rattle
Tutorial video on how to fix a loose heat shield on an exhaust pipe, muffler, or catalytic converter. This cannot be applied to all types of heat shields such as ones that bolt to the underside of the vehicle. This method mainly applies to the ones which wrap around an object.

Improved Heat-shield design - Pollux Mk. VI test flight in Kerbin's atmosphere
This is just a short re-entry / aerobraking test for my improved Pollux Mk. VI design.
Both spacecrafts (mainship and lander) have been launched using my standard booster design. Each on his own is able to reach a stable 100km orbit using the booster stages only.
The Mk. VI is designed for Duna operations including aerobraking in Duna atmosphere. The lander is capable to land and return into orbit. It is further equiped with a solar powered rover.
craft-files will be published here:

Pollux Mk. IV atmospheric lander - Heatshield demonstration [KSP 0.19.1]
This video shows a short demonstration of my modified Pollux lander including a newly designed detachable heatshield.
I will use this (or a modified design) for future missions to the outer planets of the kerbol system. The heatshield can also be used to protect the complete spacecraft (including command module) in aggressive aerobraking maneuvers.

The Halo Heatshield from ATI is an effective way to keep your hands off the barrel. If you do much moving around with a shotgun, or even have high round counts on range days, a heatshield will help make using a shotgun more comfortable. Advanced Technology International.

Apollo Landings with Heat Shield Impact Attenuation Systems 1965 NASA color 10min
video for embedding at http://scitech.quickfound.net/astro/project_apollo.html
"1965 NASA Langley Research Center test film showing a model Apollo re-entry capsule being tested for re-entry landing. The model had a combination heat shield/impact absorber installed. The tests were conducted in the Impacting Structures Facility, now known as the Vortex Research Facility."

"Landing characteristics of the Apollo spacecraft with deployed-heat-shield impact attenuation systems" by Sandy M. Stubbs
http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19660005612_1966005612.pdf
"An experimental investigation was made to determine the landing characteristics of a 1/4-scale dynamic model of the Apollo spacecraft command module using two different active (heat shield deployed prior to landing) landing systems for impact attenuation. One landing system (configuration 1) consisted of six hydraulic struts and eight crushable honeycomb struts. The other landing system (configuration 2), consisting of four hydraulic struts and six strain straps, was lighter. Tests made on water and the hard clay-gravel composite landing surfaces simulated parachute letdown (vertical) velocities of 23 ft/sec (7.0 m/s) (full scale). Landings made on the sand landing surface simulated vertical velocities of 30 ft/sec (9.1 m/s). Horizontal velocities of from 0 to 50 ft/sec (15 m/s) were simulated. Landing attitudes ranged from -30' to 20°, and the
roll attitudes were Oo, 90°, and 180°...
"The model used in the investigation was a 1/4-scale dynamic model of the command module of the Apollo spacecraft. Detailed information of the model construction is given in reference 6 and model dimensions are given in figure 1.
"The model was constructed of an aluminum frame to which an outer skin of approximately 1/8 in. (0.635 cm) (model scale) thick fiber glass and plastic was attached. The bottom of the crew compartment was filled with balsa wood to reduce structural vibrations. Mahogany blocks were inserted in the balsa wood to serve as accelerometer mounts...

NASA: Curiosity Heat Shield Hits The Ground on Mars (August 17 2012)
This sequence of images shows the heat shield from NASA's Mars Science Laboratory hitting the ground on Mars and raising a cloud of dust. The images were taken by the Mars Descent Imager on the mission's Curiosity rover while the rover was still suspended on a parachute, after the spacecraft had jettisoned the heat shield.
A dark spot, the shadow of the heat shield, enters the scene from lower left, moving toward the center. The bright heat shield itself is also apparent just before the shadow and hardware meet in the impact on the surface. The area of ground visible in the images is about six-tenths of a mile (1 kilometer) across. The frames shown here are cropped portions of full-frame images from the Mars Descent Imager.
The sequence includes 25 frames, repeated in five run-throughs for this presentation. The action is full speed in the first, fourth and fifth run-throughs. It is one-half and one-eighth speeds in the second and third run-throughs.
