Les amateurs de photographie et de beautés sculpturales vont être ravis, Pirelli vient enfin de dévoiler son calendrier 2012. Réalisée par le photographe italien Mario Sorrenti, cette 39ème édition de l'almanach le plus connu du monde a été baptisée Swoon.
"Dans Swoon, j'ai mis les corps en contact direct avec la nature, qui les accueille comme s'ils étaient son prolongement, dans une série d'images où la pierre et les rochers, la terre et les troncs d'arbre, le ciel et la mer se transforment en des scénographies qui accueillent les corps" explique Mario Sorrenti.
L'Italien a d'ailleurs choisi la Corse pour réaliser les 25 photos dont 18 en noir et blanc qui composent le millésime 2012 de "The Cal". Pour cette édition, il a fait appel à neuf mannequins et trois actrices parmi lesquelles Kate Moss et Milla Jovovic.

Les amateurs de photographie et de beautés sculpturales vont être ravis, Pirelli vient enfin de dévoiler son calendrier 2012. Réalisée par le photographe italien Mario Sorrenti, cette 39ème édition de l'almanach le plus connu du monde a été baptisée Swoon.
"Dans Swoon, j'ai mis les corps en contact direct avec la nature, qui les accueille comme s'ils étaient son prolongement, dans une série d'images où la pierre et les rochers, la terre et les troncs d'arbre, le ciel et la mer se transforment en des scénographies qui accueillent les corps" explique Mario Sorrenti.
L'Italien a d'ailleurs choisi la Corse pour réaliser les 25 photos dont 18 en noir et blanc qui composent le millésime 2012 de "The Cal". Pour cette édition, il a fait appel à neuf mannequins et trois actrices parmi lesquelles Kate Moss et Milla Jovovic.

Last Wednesday I attended the big C&A; fashion show at Alte Schmiedehallen Dusseldorf. I was excited because famous model Cindy Crawford was showing her newest collection, but also other collections were presented during the show. I saw some great things and especially liked the Jessica Pure collection. The Cindy Crawford by C&A; collection is a simple yet very elegant collection, that is very easy to wear. After the show, Cindy Crawford told us about the pieces she designed, her inspiration and her style during the press interview. Do you want to see my favourite pieces of the collection? Besides that, there was also a small DIY project at the C&A; event last Wednesday. During the day you could quite nicely customize a C&A; denim blouse with studs and stones. Last Wednesday I attended the big C&A; fashion show at Alte Schmiedehallen Dusseldorf. I was excited because famous model Cindy Crawford was showing her newest collection, but also other collections were presented during the show. I saw some great things and especially liked the Jessica Pure collection. The Cindy Crawford by C&A; collection is a simple yet very elegant collection, that is very easy to wear. After the show, Cindy Crawford told us about the pieces she designed, her inspiration and her style during the press interview. Do you want to see my favourite pieces of the collection? Besides that, there was also a small DIY project at the C&A; event last Wednesday. During the day you could quite nicely customize a C&A; denim blouse with studs and stones. Muppets Tonight was a live-action/puppet television series created by Jim Henson Productions and featuring The Muppets. Much like the "MuppeTelevision" segment of The Jim Henson Hour, Muppets Tonight was a continuation of The Muppet Show, set in a television studio, rather than a theater.[2] It ran on ABC from 1996-1998 and ran reruns on Disney Channel from 1997-2002.
The premise of Muppets Tonight was that Clifford (a humanoid Muppet who first appeared on The Jim Henson Hour and was voiced by Kevin Clash) was the host of a variety/talk show on KMUP.[3] The show stuck closely to the Muppet Show format of various skits (mostly featuring the show's human guest star) interspersed with some sort of crisis occurring backstage.[

Les amateurs de photographie et de beautés sculpturales vont être ravis, Pirelli vient enfin de dévoiler son calendrier 2012. Réalisée par le photographe italien Mario Sorrenti, cette 39ème édition de l'almanach le plus connu du monde a été baptisée Swoon.
"Dans Swoon, j'ai mis les corps en contact direct avec la nature, qui les accueille comme s'ils étaient son prolongement, dans une série d'images où la pierre et les rochers, la terre et les troncs d'arbre, le ciel et la mer se transforment en des scénographies qui accueillent les corps" explique Mario Sorrenti.
L'Italien a d'ailleurs choisi la Corse pour réaliser les 25 photos dont 18 en noir et blanc qui composent le millésime 2012 de "The Cal". Pour cette édition, il a fait appel à neuf mannequins et trois actrices parmi lesquelles Kate Moss et Milla Jovovic.

Cindy Crawford got her whole family in on the act when she took on her latest role as a spokesperson for Propel Zero. Her husband, Rande Gerber, and their two children, Presley and Kaia, are featured in the new TV spot for the no-calorie sports drink. The commercial follows a typically busy day at the Crawford-Gerber household, and we sat down with the supermodel in Beverly Hills recently to learn how she balances her career and motherhood, as well as how she spends her rare downtime. She also chatted about her daughter Kaia's interest in following in her modeling footsteps, the annual Summer vacation with her family she treasures, and her tips on staying healthy and beautiful no matter what life throws at you.

Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Crawford (born February 20, 1966) is an American model. Known for her trademark mole just above her lip, Crawford has adorned hundreds of magazine covers throughout her career. Her success at modeling made her an international celebrity that has led to roles in television and film, and to work as a spokesperson. She was named #3 on VH1's 40 Hottest Hotties of the 90s and was named one of the "100 Hottest Women of All-Time" by Men's Health.[3]

Crawford was born in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter of Jennifer Sue Crawford-Moluf (née Walker) and John Crawford (not to be confused with actor and former Mouseketeer Johnny Crawford, of The Rifleman fame).[4][5] She was discovered at the age of 16 by a newspaper photographer. He noticed Cindy at work during her summer job of detasseling corn and took a picture of her. The photo and positive feedback she received were enough to convince her to take up modeling. She entered the Elite Model Management's Look of the Year contest at 17 and was the runner-up. The Elite modeling agency in Chicago then started representing her.
Crawford graduated from DeKalb High School in 1984, as valedictorian.[6] She won an academic scholarship to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University, which she attended for only one quarter. She dropped out in order to pursue a full-time modeling career. After working for photographer Victor Skrebneski in Chicago, Cindy moved to Manhattan in 1986; she was signed with the Elite New York modeling agency.

During the 1980s and 1990s, Cindy Crawford was among the most popular supermodels, and a ubiquitous presence on magazine covers, runways, and in fashion campaigns. She was repeatedly and frequently featured on the cover of many magazines, including: Vogue, W, People, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Allure. A partial count in 1998 totalled over 400 appearances.[7] Crawford also appeared in many fashion campaigns during her career, including those for Gianni Versace, Escada, Revlon, and Ink. She has also worked for Omega, Maybelline, and Clairol.
In 1987, Crawford appeared during the opening credits of the Michael J. Fox film The Secret of My Success. Three years later she appeared in the video for George Michael's "Freedom '90" alongside other models Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz and Naomi Campbell. Subsequently, Crawford played the lost love of Jon Bon Jovi in the video for his 1994 version of "Please Come Home For Christmas".
The red Versace dress which she wore to the 63rd Academy Awards in 1991 had a major influence on fashion, and many copies and fakes of the dress were produced.[8][9][10] In 1992, Crawford—through GoodTimes Home Video and her company Craw Daddy Productions—made an exercise video with Radu Teodorescu named Cindy Crawford: Shape Your Body; although criticised by some for being unsafe, it was hugely successful and led to two equally lucrative followups, Cindy Crawford: The Next Challenge in 1993 (again with Radu) and Cindy Crawford: A New Dimension in 2000 (the latter, made with fitness expert Kathy Kaehler and produced not long after Cindy gave birth to her first child, was aimed at new mothers getting back into shape). In 2001, Cindy also made a shorter fitness video aimed at children, Mini-Muscles with Cindy Crawford and the Fit-wits, an animated production featuring the voices of Cindy (who also appears at the beginning in live action), Radu and Kobe Bryant.
The inaugural issue of George, a short lived political magazine in the 1990s, featured Crawford dressed like George Washington on the cover. In 2005, The American Society of Magazine Editors listed it as the 22nd best magazine cover of the last 40 years.[11]
Crawford is 5 feet 9 inches tall,[1] with brown hair and eyes. Her measurements are 34"-26"-35".[2] Crawford's trademark is a mole (or "beauty mark") above her upper lip. She is so closely associated with this physical feature that she appeared in an advertising campaign for chocolates featuring commercials wherein she "licked off" her own mole. During the beginning of her career, the mole was removed from her earlier modeling pictures, including her first Vogue cover. Her resemblance early in her career to model Gia Carangi led her to being known as "Baby Gia".
Crawford has also been on TV and in films. From 1989 to 1995, Crawford was host of MTV's House of Style. In the early 1990s, Crawford starred in the Pepsi and Pepsi Stuff advertising.[12][13] In 1995, Crawford broke into movies as the female lead in the movie Fair Game. Her performance was panned by critics-- Leonard Maltin commented "In her acting debut, supermodel Crawford makes a good jogger."[14] The film was also a financial failure, with expenses of $50 million and $11 million takings at the box office. In 2001, she costarred as part of an ensemble cast in The Simian Line. Again the film was not successful or critically acclaimed, but Crawford's acting was not criticized. She has had many lesser roles guest starring on TV and as supporting roles, often playing herself. For example, in 2000, she was one of the celebrities (along with Victoria Silvstedt, Anna Falchi and Megan Gale) playing themselves in the Italian comedy Bodyguards - Guardie del corpo.
In July 1988, she posed nude for Playboy magazine in a shoot by photographer Herb Ritts.[15] In October 1998, Crawford returned to the pages of Playboy for a second nude pictorial, again taken by Ritts.[16]
Crawford has consistently ranked highly on lists of the world's sexiest people. She was ranked number 5 on Playboy's list of the 100 Sexiest Stars of the 20th century. A 1997 Shape magazine survey of 4,000 picked her as the second (after Demi Moore) most beautiful woman in the world. In 2002, Crawford was named one of the 50 Most Beautiful People by People magazine. In her forties, she claimed #26 in the 2006 Hot 100 issue of Maxim magazine.[17]

Crawford quit modeling in 2000; however, she still appears from time to time in (and on the covers of) fashion magazines in new shoots. She continues to provide celebrity endorsement for a variety of projects. In 2005, Crawford created a line of beauty products with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh called Meaningful Beauty for Guthy-Renker. Crawford has admitted to regularly receiving certain cosmetic procedures, including Botox and vitamin injections. She first saw a plastic surgeon at the age of 29.[19]
In 2005, Crawford launched a new line of furniture under the "Cindy Crawford Home Collection" name. This collection is manufactured by HM Richards Inc., and is sold through many retailers including Art Van Furniture and Rooms To Go. She assisted in the creation of the line by directing the designers to include certain features, colors, or styles that fit the needs of families or reflected her own tastes.[20] She also has a furniture line with Raymour & Flanigan and launched another home goods line with J. C. Penney in late 2009.[21]

Crawford was married to actor Richard Gere between 1991 and 1995; although they had no children, she cited him as one of the more influential people in her life (after her parents).[citation needed] She has been married to Rande Gerber since May 29, 1998, with whom she has two children, Presley Walker (born July 2, 1999)[23] and Kaia Jordan (born September 3, 2001).[24] She also has a nephew named Jake (born June 1994). Recently Kaia Jordan modeled a Versace outfit, but has decided to put her modeling on hold. (February 2012).
Activism and charity work[link]
When Crawford was 10 years old, her younger brother Jeff - whom she continues to praise as "the fourth most influential person in my life" - died of leukemia. Since becoming a model, Crawford has made childhood leukemia a focal point of her charity work, donating proceeds of her calendars to medical research.[25] Crawford has been a long-time supporter of the pediatric oncology program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where Jeff was treated, stating that she believes he received the best care possible.[26] She is also an honorary board member of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.[27]
In 2007, she became an official supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities and is a member of their celebrity board, called the Friends of RMHC.[28] Crawford is on the Honorary Committee of the California Wildlife Center.[29]

Margaret Julia “Marlo” Thomas (born November 21, 1937) is an American actress, producer, and social activist known for her starring role on the TV series That Girl (1966–1971). She also serves as National Outreach Director for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Early life[link]
Thomas was born in Detroit, Michigan, the eldest child of comedian Danny Thomas (1912–1991) and his wife, the former Rose Marie Cassaniti (1914–2000). On her mother's side, she is also the granddaughter of drummer and percussionist, Marie "Mary" Cassaniti (1896–1972). Her brother, Tony Thomas, is a television and film producer, and her sister, Terre Thomas, is a former actress. Her father was Lebanese-American and her mother was Italian-American.[1]
Marlo Thomas was raised in Beverly Hills, California. Her parents called her Margo as a child, though she soon became known as Marlo, she told The New York Times, because of her childhood mispronunciation of the nickname. She attended Marymount High School in Los Angeles. Thomas graduated from the University of Southern California with a teaching degree; "I wanted a piece of paper that said I was qualified to do something," she said. She was also a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta.[2]

Thomas was a regular on The Joey Bishop Show from 1961 to 1962, playing Joey's star-struck sister, Stella Barnes. She followed the series with guest appearances on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, Ben Casey, The Twilight Zone, My Favorite Martian, and Bonanza.[3] In 1967, she and her father Danny Thomas provided the voices of Caleb and his daughter Bertha in the Rankin-Bass animated adaption of Charles Dickens classic novella The Cricket on the Hearth.

Thomas signed a contract with ABC in 1966, to star in the network's newest sitcom, That Girl. Thomas played Ann Marie an up-and-coming actress who's the girlfriend to Donald Hollinger (played by Ted Bessell). The series told the day-to-day struggles of Ann: holding different temp jobs and how she desperately wants a movie career. The series was the first television show to focus on a single girl who doesn't live with her parents. The show's premise is said[citation needed] to have been the basis of the storylines of two future shows: The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Murphy Brown.
That Girl became popular for its opening theme in which ended with someone saying "...that girl", in which Ann then appears on the screen and the words "That Girl" appear over a freeze-frame shot of Ann. The sequence was different for every episode and usually indicated what the episode was going to be about. This motif was abandoned in season five and was replaced with lyrics.
Despite being a solid ratings performer on ABC, That Girl never reached the overall top 30. Thomas requested ending the show after season four, even though it was still in the top 35. ABC convinced her to do one more year. In the beginning of season five, Ann and Donald get engaged but never marry. Thomas didn't want to send a message to young girls that marriage was their main goal. The series was cancelled in 1971, after 136 episodes. During the show's five-year-run, Thomas won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy four times.
Later career[link]
After That Girl, Thomas released a children's book, Free to Be... You and Me, which was inspired by her young niece Dionne Thomas. She went on to create multiple recordings and television specials of and related to that title: Free to Be... You and Me (1972 and 1974) and Free to Be... A Family (1987), with Christopher Cerf.
In 1973, Marlo Thomas joined Gloria Steinem, Patricia Carbine, and Letty Cottin Pogrebin as the founders of the country’s first women’s fund, the Ms. Foundation for Women. The organization was created to deliver funding and other resources to organizations that were presenting women’s voices in communities nationwide.
Adept at drama as well as comedy, Thomas appeared in the television movies It Happened One Christmas (1977) (a remake of It's a Wonderful Life with Thomas in the rewritten James Stewart role),[4] Nobody's Child (1986), and The Lost Honor of Kathryn Beck (1984) while she starred in films Jenny (1970) and Thieves (1977).
Thomas's Broadway theatre credits include Thieves (1974), Social Security (1986, in which she also toured), and The Shadow Box (1994). In 1993 she toured in Six Degrees of Separation. In 2007, she starred as Doreen in Elaine May's comedy Roger Is Dead at George Street Playhouse. She returned to George Street Playhouse in the spring of 2008 in Arthur Laurents's play New Year's Eve with Keith Carradine and Natasha Gregson Wagner.
Thomas appeared as Margaret (as the client with a vicious dog) in an uncredited role in the film Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999).
Marlo Thomas is also active with the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where she serves as the national outreach director. She is donating all royalties from her 2004 book and CD, Thanks & Giving: All Year Long (also produced with Cerf), to the hospital, which was started by her late father, Danny Thomas. The organization helps gravely ill young children.
Thomas has further supported charity through her publications of the two volumes of The Right Words at the Right Time.[5][6]
In recent years, Thomas has made guest appearances on Ally McBeal, Friends (as Rachel's mother, Sandra Green), as well as on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (she played Judge Mary Conway Clark, a mentor of former ADA Casey Novak). She also appeared in the 2000 comedy Playing Mona Lisa.
From October 2011 to January 29, 2012, Thomas starred in a Broadway play called George Is Dead written by Elaine May, which was part of an anthology play, Relatively Speaking, which also featured plays written by Ethan Cohen (Talking Cure) and Woody Allen (Honeymoon Motel).[7]
In 2012, she co-starred in the film LOL, opposite Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.

Early life[link]
Baldwin was born in Massapequa, New York, the son of Carol Newcomb (née Martineau) and Alexander Rae Baldwin, Jr. His father was a high school history/social studies teacher and football coach.[1] He is the brother of actors Alec, Daniel, and Stephen, sometimes collectively known as the Baldwin brothers. Baldwin was raised in a Catholic family of Irish, English, and French descent.[2][3] A graduate of Berner High School and Binghamton University, where he was a varsity wrestler,[4] he has a degree in political science.

Before starting his acting career, Baldwin was a fashion model for Calvin Klein. His first starring role was in a TV movie as Robert Chambers, alongside Lara Flynn Boyle in The Preppie Murder, which aired on ABC in 1989. Baldwin was also cast in the 1989 film Born on the Fourth of July starring Tom Cruise, and brothers Stephen and Daniel where he played in a minor role as a U.S Marine during the Vietnam War.

Baldwin then starred in hit movies like Flatliners with Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon. He portrayed Chicago firefighter Brian McCaffrey in Backdraft. Baldwin starred alongside Cindy Crawford in the 1995 film Fair Game, then in 1996 starred in a low-budget film by Miramax Films titled Curdled, and was paid US$150,000 for his performance compared to the $1.7 million he received for his role in Sliver with Sharon Stone in 1993.[5] In 1999, Baldwin teamed up with Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Sutherland for the science fiction thriller "Virus", and alongside Peter Gallagher in the Showtime original movie, Brotherhood of Murder.

In 2001, Baldwin played a leading role in the television film Double Bang which aired on HBO. Since then, Baldwin has played in other projects such as Red Rover in 2003, Art Heist in 2004, "Park", Feel and Lenexa, 1 Mile in 2006, Adrift in Manhattan, A Plumm Summer, Noise, and Humble Pie in 2007. Baldwin has continued to act in films and on television, but has not taken many leading roles. He was well-received in a supporting role in the 2005 film The Squid and the Whale. He also co-starred in ABC's Dirty Sexy Money as Donald Sutherland's oldest son, Patrick Darling IV, for the duration of the show until April 2009. Among other diverse characters he has played in his career, Baldwin was on Joel Schumacher's shortlist for Batman Forever to play the caped crusader. His four diverse choices were Daniel Day-Lewis, Ralph Fiennes, Val Kilmer and Baldwin.[6] Audiences got to hear his first time playing Batman in February 2010 in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a loose adaptation of Grant Morrison's JLA: Earth 2 story.[6]

In 2010, Baldwin portrayed Dr. Willam van der Woodsen, father of Serena and Eric van der Woodsen, on the third and fourth seasons of Gossip Girl. Baldwin was also featured with his brother Daniel in UniGlobe Entertainment's breast cancer docu-drama, 1 a Minute.[7] The documentary was made by actress Namrata Singh Gujral and will feature breast cancer survivors Olivia Newton-John, Diahann Carroll, Melissa Etheridge, Namrata Singh Gujral, Mumtaz and Jaclyn Smith as well as Daniel Baldwin and Priya Dutt. Baldwin was cast in the second season of Parenthood to play a boss and love interest for several episodes.[8] Baldwin joined Parenthood for a multi-episode arc that aired in fall 2010 as Gordon Flint, the "wealthy, charismatic" boss of Adam (Peter Krause), a bachelor who also has eyes for Adam's sister Sarah (Lauren Graham). In 2011, Baldwin starred in the Lifetime Original Movie, The Craigslist Killer which aired January 3, 2011. He plays the lead detective on the case of the killer, Philip Markoff, who connected with victims through Craigslist ads placed in Boston, Massachusetts. On June 1, 2011, Baldwin joined Sobini Films' indie film Sexy Evil Genius along with Seth Green, Harold Perrineau Jr., Katee Sackhoff, and Michelle Trachtenberg. The film is to be directed by Shawn Piller. In July 2011, Baldwin joined the CBS drama Hawaii Five-0 for a multi-episode arc.[9] On March 22, 2012, Baldwin guest starred on the NBC show 30 Rock. Baldwin plays Lance Drake Mandrell, an actor who plays Jack Donaghy – the role played in the series by Baldwin's real-life brother Alec – in a made-for-TV movie within the show.[10][11]

In 1995 Baldwin married singer Chynna Phillips of the music group Wilson Phillips. Together, they have three children. Baldwin has two estates, one in Santa Barbara, California and another in Bedford Corners, New York, just 30 minutes away from his brother Stephen's estate in Nyack, New York.[12]

Harald Franz Schmidt (born August 18, 1957 in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria) is a German actor, writer, comedian and television entertainer best known as host of two popular German late-night shows.

Biography[link]
Early life[link]
As son of refugees who fled from South Moravia (now Czech Republic) in 1945, Schmidt spent his youth in Swabian Nürtingen, where he went to grammar school. Due to his strict Catholic upbringing he devoted time to the Roman Catholic church, serving as choirmaster and playing the organ.
At the age of 21, Schmidt went to Stuttgart to attend drama school for three years. After that, he gained on-stage experience at Städtische Bühne (Municipal Stage) in Augsburg. His first role was that of the 2nd Mamaluke in Lessing's Nathan the Wise. In 1984, Harald Schmidt became a text writer for the cabaret Kom(m)ödchen in Düsseldorf and in 1986, was honoured as "Best Newcomer cabaret artist" and toured through Germany with his own show.
Television[link]
Before long, TV noticed the talented young comedian and in 1988 Schmidt began to host his first TV show, MAZ ab. This was followed by shows like Psst! and Schmidteinander, but the biggest boost to his career occurred in 1992, when he started hosting the popular Saturday night show, Verstehen Sie Spaß? (a variation of Candid Camera). Schmidt was awarded Germany's most important TV award, "Adolf-Grimme-Preis", which would be followed by many others. Just one year later, he was honoured as the "Entertainer of the year" and awarded the famous Bambi award and the Golden Camera.
In 1995, Schmidt changed from the publicly funded TV station ARD to the privately owned channel Sat.1 and started the late night talk and variety show, Die Harald Schmidt Show. From 30 June 2003 the show was broadcast five days a week, including Monday evening. On the 8th December 2003, Schmidt suddenly announced the end of the show, following a change of management of Sat.1. The last show was aired on the 23rd December 2003.
"Creative break" and show relaunch[link]
In 2004, Schmidt toured through Germany with a live comedy show, featuring his former late night show sidekick Manuel Andrack. On December 23 of the same year, the new show Harald Schmidt began featuring Andrack, back on ARD, where Schmidt had begun his television career 16 years earlier.
In October 2005, his daughter Amelie was born.
Harald Schmidt resides in Cologne with his partner Ellen Hantsch, a school teacher, and five children, the eldest being from a former relationship. Little is known about the children and their two mothers as Schmidt shields them from the public. In interviews he hardly talks about them.

Schmidt is host of the German late night show comparable to Late Night with Conan O'Brien or Late Night with David Letterman, which has now begun a second run after a year-long "creative break". The original show, named Die Harald Schmidt Show and shown on German television network Sat.1, featured stand-up comedy as well as famous national and international guests.
In its later years, the show became a critics' favourite due to Schmidt's "intellectual" sense of humour. For example, he hosted one show completely in French. On another occasion, the screen was blacked for half of the show making it into a "radio broadcast". Another time, he disproved a critic who had written that it is impossible to spend several minutes on TV just cracking nuts.

Schmidt began a second run with a new show on publicly funded ARD, this time without "celebrity" interviews and with even more discussion of current events in a rather freely associative manner. As the German entertainer Thomas Gottschalk recently quipped, Schmidt will always attract the student and intellectual crowd, Gottschalk himself will take care of the rest.
On his first show after the break Schmidt appeared with long hair and a fluffy full beard (which looked kind of grey-white-blond-yellowish and reminiscent of Ernest Hemingway and made it to the newspaper headlines the next morning) making fun of his long absence from the public. Although he claimed right on: "I swear, I shaved this morning!". After summer break in 2005 the "celebrity guest" segment was reintroduced.

Late in 2007, Manuel Andrack was replaced by Comedian Oliver Pocher, who had a more active part than his predecessor, and some other elements changed as well. The broadcast's title was changed to "Schmidt & Pocher", trying to attract a younger audience. Oliver Pocher was less educated and "less intellectual", a fact that caused some criticism among Harald Schmidt's core audience and broadsheet newspaper comments in Germany.

On September 15, 2011 Schmidt returned to his former network Sat.1 picking up is former show name of Die Harald Schmidt Show again. Sat.1 cancelled the show after one season due to low viewer levels.[1]

Starting September 11, 2012 new episodes will be shown on Sky Hits HD and Sky Atlantic HD, two channels of the German Pay-TV network Sky Deutschland.[2]
Concept/crew[link]
The self-proclaimed hypochondriac became popular for his cynical jokes, cruel remarks and wry intellectual wit. (Even though he is obsessed with health he was able to lampoon this weak spot in a self ironic TV commercial for a medicine curing colds.) Schmidt models himself after people like Johnny Carson and Conan O'Brien, but adds few factors and qualities to his show himself.
He engaged in long, seemingly boring conversations with his "supervising producer" Manuel Andrack (known as "chief dramatic adviser"), who sat at a desk next to Schmidt's, and, like Letterman, also included his staff in the show, for instance, his band leader Helmut Zerlett and his cue card girl Suzana Novinscak (both omitted in the new show). After a few new shows, Schmidt celebrated the return of French woman Nathalie Licard. Previously Schmidt's reporter in the old show, she sat on a stool, opposite Manuel Andrack, in front of the band. On occasion, she was involved in the goings-on (like dressing up as Eliza Doolittle in front of the audience, helping Schmidt to bring people from the audience who were chosen to form an impromptu choir etc.). It has been announced on the 28th of March 2012 that the "Harald Schmidt Show" will end on the 3rd of May 2012 on SAT1.
Criticism[link]
Especially during the first years of Die Harald Schmidt Show, Schmidt was sometimes criticised for making fun of minorities like foreigners or gays. He also did some Adolf Hitler imitations in his show (in one of these he as Hitler warned young people not to vote for racist and nationalistic parties). However, especially Schmidts more unorthodox and politically incorrect jokes have garnered the show a reputation as cult television and his supporters accused critics of being incapable of understanding satire.

Awards include three German Television Awards, the viewers choice award Bambi, the Grimme Award, the Golden Camera and the Golden Lion as best showmaster.

Thierry Mugler (French pronunciation: [tjɛʁi myɡˈle]) is a French fashion designer and creator of several perfumes.

Childhood[link]
Mugler was born in Strasbourg, France on 21 December 1948. His passion led him to focus more on drawing than on school[citation needed] and at the age of 9, he began to study classical dance.[citation needed] By 14, he joined the ballet corps for the Rhin Opera (Opéra national du Rhin).[1]
At the same time, Mugler began taking classes in interior design at the Strasbourg School of Decorative Art.[citation needed]
Early career[link]
At the age of 24, Mugler decided to travel the world and left Strasbourg to go live in Paris. He began designing clothes for a small, trendy Parisian boutique by the name of "Gudule". At 26, Mugler, who was working as a freelance designer, began to work for a variety of large ready-to-wear fashion houses in Paris, Milan, London and Barcelona.[citation needed]
In 1973 Mugler created his first personal collection called "Café de Paris". The style of the collection was both sophisticated and urban. Melka Tréanton, a powerful fashion editor, helped launched his career. In 1976, she asked him to show his work in Tokyo, for an event organized by Shiseido.[2] In 1978 he opened his first Paris boutique at the place des Victoires (in the 1st arrondissement). At the same time, Thierry Mugler launched a fashion collection for men. For this collection, he reworked classical masculinity giving it a definitively modern style. A clean, precise, structured cut which outlined a highly-recognizable silhouette: prominent shoulders, both "anatomical and classic", for a dynamic and slender look.
During the 1980s and 1990s Thierry Mugler had become an internationally recognized designer and his collections garnered much commercial success. At the request of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, he completed his first haute couture collection in 1992.[citation needed]
He also created the famous black dress worn by Demi Moore in the 1993 movie, 'Indecent Proposal.'

Directing, photography and design[link]
Mugler published his first photography book in 1988, "Thierry Mugler, Photographe": filled with Mugler’s taste for travel and adventure. This first book was followed by a monograph in 1999 entitled, “Fashion Fetish Fantasy” which assembles photos of his creations. All the designs are worn by Thierry Mugler’s model and celebrity friends in the book.
Mugler also directs short films, advertising films and video clips. He regularly designs costumes for musical comedies, concerts, operas and the theatre (including Macbeth for the Comédie Française). He has worked with such artists as Robert Altman and George Michael (he directed the video for Michael's "Too Funky" in 1992). He also directed the first advertising film for one of his fragrances, Alien.
He collaborated with the Cirque du Soleil in 2002, a group which performs all over the world. He directed "Extravaganza", one of the scenes of Zumanity, but also created all the costumes and the identity of the characters in the show, which ran for several years at the New York Hotel in Las Vegas
In 2009, Thierry Mugler worked as artistic advisor to musician Beyoncé.[3] He created the costumes for her "I Am... World Tour" and gave his artistic vision to the staging, lighting, the decorations and the choreography.[4]

"Angel" opened a new olfactory trend with its combination of praline and chocolate-derived sweetness mixed with a strong accent of patchouli. Angel was the first oriental gourmand perfume and comes in an unprecedented color for a women’s fragrance: blue.
The Angel bottle, a complicated design in the shape of a faceted star, was created by the Brosse Master Glassmakers. Today, more than thirteen engraved and numbered Limited Edition stars have been successively created for several holiday seasons. Other perfumes have been developed to enrich the brand's fragrance universe, including three major fragrances: A*Men, Mugler Cologne and Alien.
In 2005, Alien was created, the second major Thierry Mugler fragrance, inspired by a solar world, filled with hope, serenity and light. Also in 2005, Thierry Mugler launched the "Thierry Mugler Perfume Workshops" which are open to the general public and led by specialists of the perfumery and oenology world. The goal of these workshops is to convey the art and know-how of the industry along with the craftsmanship of making perfume.

In 2006, Thierry Mugler completed a project for the launch of Tom Tykwer's film "Perfume". In collaboration with the IFF company, Thierry Mugler created a box set of fifteen compositions.
During 2007, still following the metamorphosis theme, Mugler launched Mirror, Mirror, a collection of five fragrances, created as "perfume-trickery" to "enhance one’s presence".
Finally, on 8 March 2010, Thierry Mugler launched the site womanity.com, a virtual space for expression which asks visitors to share their vision on what it means to be a woman today. The site corresponded to Womanity, the newest fragrance by the house of Mugler which was released at the same time.

In 2008, the Mugler's brand launched Thierry Mugler Beauty, a high-end line of cosmetics.
In September 2010, Nicola Formichetti was announced to be the new Creative Director of the Thierry Mugler brand. He changed the brand name to MUGLER, removing the first name, and in January 2011, he launched the brand's first menswear collection.
