Mysticism and Science-CG Jung
The rift between mysticism and the modern sciences derives mainly from elements of scientism in the latter: certain branches of the natural sciences, broadly disavow subjective experience as meaningless, misunderstanding the limitations of the ancient languages. Physicist David Bohm speaking of consciousness expressing itself as matter and/or energy would be completely understood by the mystic, whatever his cultural/religious heritage. The mystic's attempt to describe cause and effect between one's internal state and the miraculous, hints at a close connection between psychological stability (ego transcendence) and the mysterious realm of causality quantum physicists are now deciphering - dimensional reality shifts that synchronize with states of consciousness and unconflicted choices.
Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst who groundbreaking work in depth psychology was greatly influenced by his exploration of alchemy, astrology, and mythology. Jung introduce the concept of psychological archetypes into psychotherapy. A student and follower of Sigmund Freud, he broke tradition with Freud, who ideas about the development of the psychical processes he found too limiting. Jung spent a great deal of his time doing his own personal introspection which influenced his ideas on the role of spirituality, dreams, and art as important components of the integrative process.
Carl Jung was particularly important in rediscovering and bringing to light the usefulness of alchemical imagery and alchemical texts as symbols of the psychological states of man.

The Mystic Heart - Part 1- The Supreme Identity
In this dialogue series, Brother Wayne Teasdale and Ken Wilber discuss the advent of an integral mysticism in the postmodern world. Reflecting on their own spiritual experiences, the relation of science to spirituality, the lives of the great inter-spiritual pioneers, and how youth culture is revitalizing the mystical traditions, Brother Wayne and Ken show how an integral perspective can bring the revelations of mysticism into everyday life. In so doing, we learn to give fullest expression—as parents and professionals, students and seekers—to the Mystic Heart in each of us.
If, as historian Arnold Toynbee put it, the introduction of Buddhism into the West "may well prove to be the most important event of the 20th century," we might also argue that the re-discovery of the contemplative roots of Christianity will be equally important. And as we enter the 21st century, it stands to reason that the recognition of a common mystical ground between Buddhism, Christianity, and the other World Religions will be the most important event of all.

What Is Mysticism - Ralph M. Lewis
In this video clip, the subject of "Mysticism" is discussed by the former Imperator for The Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, the late Ralph M. Lewis. In fact, mysticism was one of several subjects discussed on these programs called "Viewpoint" in the early 1980's, as part of the organization's public awareness program.

Manly Hall - Mystical Life of the American Indians
Manly Palmer Hall was a Canadian-born author and mystic. He is perhaps most famous for his work The Secret Teachings of All Ages: An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy, which is widely regarded as his magnum opus, and which he published at the age of 27.
He has been widely recognized as a leading scholar in the fields of religion, mythology, mysticism, and the occult.
In 1934, Hall founded the Philosophical Research Society (PRS) in Los Angeles, California, dedicating it to an idealistic approach to the solution of human problems. The PRS claims to be non-sectarian and entirely free from educational, political, or ecclesiastical control, and the Society's programs stress the need for the integration of philosophy, religion, and science into one system of instruction. The PRS Library, a public facility devoted to source materials in obscure fields, has many rare and scarce items now impossible to obtain elsewhere.
In 1973 (47 years after writing The Secret Teachings of All Ages), Hall was recognized as a 33º Mason (the highest honor conferred by the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite), at a ceremony held at PRS on December 8th, despite never being initiated into the physical craft.
In his over 70-year career, Hall delivered approximately 8,000 lectures in the United States and abroad, authored over 150 books and essays, and wrote countless magazine articles.

A participant asks in an Inner Engineering program:
Who is a mystic and what is mysticism? Sadhguru answers
Mysticism exists only because ignorance exists. Whatever you're ignorant of naturally becomes mystical to you. So someone is a mystic- not because he landed from somewhere else - because he broke through the limitations of his ignorance and accessed life in all its dimensions. So he seems to be a mystic for those who are ignorant of those dimensions of existence. Now, a mystical process does not mean it is other-worldly. There is no other world. Everything is of this creation. It is just that a few have delved deep into the nature of this existence. Rest have remained within the limitations that their sense organs have established for them. So if one's perception goes beyond sense limitations - as sense organs can essentially perceive only that which is physical - if one's perception of life transcends the sense perception, or, in other words, if one's perception of life transcends the limitations of the physicality of life - when I say the physicality of life, when it comes to yourself, the physical aspect of you is something you accumulated over a period of time. This is an accumulation. If you have to accumulate this much physicality, something much more fundamental than that is there. Because it's nonphysical in its existence, and because your perception is right now limited to sense perception, what is most fundamental to your existence remains out-of-bounds. So mystics happen because there are too many mistakes on the planet. You have made a mistake with your perception - that is why somebody looks like a mystic to you. So if you have not made any mistakes - your perception has become fully clear about the existence, you're beginning to see, experience, and manage different dimensions of your existence which are not normally in people's perception - then you get labelled as a mystic. It is like - on a certain day two cows met on the English meadow. English cows. And one said to the other, "What is your opinion about the mad cow disease?" The second cow said, "I don't care a hoot, because anyway I'm a helicopter." So if a cow realizes that it's a cow and becomes a full-fledged cow - if a human being realizes the full depth and dimension of being human - if a human being realizes the immensity of what it means to be human, unfortunately he gets labelled as a mystic.

Professional deception and clever fraudulence are running rampant in mystical claims to experience God. Thus, the signature of Satan is seen in St. John of the Cross, Ignatius Loyola, Madame Guyon, Carl Jung, Richard Foster, and in such as Mother Teresa, Rick Warren, Brian McLaren, Leonard Sweet, Phyllis Tickle, and other deceivers of the Emerging Church movement who transmit this plague. In this illustrated DVD, Richard Bennett and James Sundquist expose the deceitful shams that prevail at the present time. They also explain the scriptural method of biblical meditation and genuinely experiencing God. Please make this DVD known to others, and kindly link to it, if possible. Thank you.

James Sundquist: http://www.lighthousetrailsresearch.com/lectiodivina.htm
In September 2005, Pope Benedict XVI stated: "I would like in particular to recall and recommend the ancient tradition of Lectio divina: the diligent reading of Sacred Scripture accompanied by prayer brings about that intimate dialogue in which the person reading hears God who is speaking, and in praying, responds to him with trusting openness of heart (cf. Dei Verbum, n. 25). If it is effectively promoted, this practice will bring to the Church - I am convinced of it - a new spiritual springtime."
Once the stage is set it is time to begin the prayer.
Lectio Divina has been likened to "Feasting on the Word." The four parts are first taking a bite (Lectio), then chewing on it (Meditatio). Next is the opportunity to savor the essence of it (Oratio). Finally, the Word is digested and made a part of the body (Contemplatio).[4]

Immortal - Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism 1992 [Full Album]
The debut masterpiece by Immortal, Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism. Released in 1992, this album brought forth a new sound for the group, who had released a three-track low-fi death metal EP simply titled Immortal less than a year earlier. They now introduced soft folk passages in between the harsh, raw, yet melodic and enchanting metal music. With this release, Immortal was quickly making its way to the top tier of the infamous underground Norwegian Black Metal Scene.

After thoroughly addressing the first dimension of Islam in his first four lectures of this series, Abdal Hakim uniquely explores the final two dimensions in Islam of iman and ihsan. This talk, which consists of two parts, is another highly intellectual discourse about a vast religious science. The speaker begins by providing a historical background in an effort to identify the processes that brought this science about. This lecture effectively paints a colorful picture of the nature of the spiritual life in Islam and examines its foundation. What does the Qur'an say about these two types of higher knowledges, imam and ihsan? How does the Muslim come to know God if He cannot be seen? And what about the early Islamic controversies of free will vs. predestination and the existence or "problem" of evil? How does Islam answer the age-old philosophical questions of why the world exists and what the purpose of life is? (Recorded at the Dar al Islam Teachers' Institute seminar). Other topics discussed: Emanuel Kant, the 99 names of God, the film "Barakah", the volition of God to create the universe, heedlessness, thikr (meditation or contemplation), and the absence of symbols for God in Islam.

Catholic Church Facilitates Foreign Invasion
Russell traces the churchs involvement in the entry of illegal aliens into the U.S. to the Marxist-oriented liberation theology movement, also known as social justice. Russell particularly faults Jesuit Catholic institutions such as Georgetown University for adopting this approach and indoctrinating students to be in favor of liberalized immigration policies.

This program is about Catholic Mysticism and the Emerging Church may be one of the most important topics that we have addressed. Catholic mysticism has helped mightily to transform the New Age Movement from being counter-culture to being embraced by Evangelicals, and Western civilization as such. Catholic mysticism has affected almost every facet of life without being noticed or perceived. Catholic Mysticism and the Emerging Church Reexamined
Bobby8270 has replied to a comment on Catholic Mysticism and the Emerging Church Reexamined:
You are totally wrong. There were over 40 different authors of the books of the bible. the catholic church didn't even exist when these books wer written. William Tyndale was put to death by the catholic church for translating the bible into english. Why? I quote pope innocent iii. "Anyone who attempts to construe a personal view of God which conflicts with Church dogma must be burned without pity." Nice infallible pope. Where is he today? Heaven? Have u ever heard of the holy inquisitions?

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:13-15
Mysticism attempts to gain ultimate knowledge of God by a direct experience that bypasses the mind. Catholic mysticism, now officially married to the Emerging Church, needs to be reexamined. Old-time mystics such as Loyola, Teresa of Avila, and John of the Cross need to be examined again along with modern so-called evangelical mystics such as Richard Foster. All of this, and more, is accomplished in this professional presentation along with graphic inserts of persons and events. An analysis is also made of Phyllis Tickle who has surfaced as a formidable leader of this toxic movement. The fall from power of Tony Jones, a former leading light of the movement, is also documented.

On Sunday evening August 16, 08 Chuck Smith introduced Rick Warren as "my good friend who pastors Saddleback Church..." at Greg Laurie's 20th Anniversary of the Harvest Crusade.
In June 2006 Smith issued his now infamous "Parson to Parson" inter-church memorandum to all Calvary Chapel pastors in the Calvary 'movement' (which doesn't wish to be known as a denomination) stating Calvary's distinct differences from Rick Warren's teachings and demanding both of Warren's bestseller books The Purpose Driven Life and The Purpse Driven Church be taken off the shelves at Calvary Chapel bookstores worldwide, forbidding them to sell Warren's books or allign themselves with him in any - something Greg Laurie has thumbed his nose at since day one. Warren also teaches the Purpose Driven dynamics in his pulpit alligning himself with New Age beliefs and practices straight out of Hinduism and Buddhism and other unbiblical dynamics that the Emergent Church embraces which Warren is most certainly a part of and has given his full support.
Chuck Smith has never rescinded his position separating himself and the Calvary Chapel church organization from Warren's beliefs and practices yet Greg Laurie has even voiced his intentions to support Warren not only ministerially, but, spiritually, emotionally and financially as well. In April 2008 when he was at Warren's convention in NYC he announced he had contributed a lot of money to Warren. Laurie has since shown his film, "Lost Boy" at Saddleback Church and continues to be associated with Rick Warren.
Since his June 06 memo Chuck Smith has not only allowed pastors from Emergent churches affiliated with Rick Warren and other heretics to speak at his Costa Mesa church as well as the Calvary Chapel College and Conference Center in Murrieta, CA!
Interestingly enough Roger Oakland was fired from CC's KWAVE radio in So CA for airing his 'Ichabod' commentary regarding the apostate mega churches who are embracing the Emerging heresy. He stepped on some toes in Calvary Chapel of pastors who have a controlling interest in KWAVE because they are affiliated with Rick Warren and are teaching the PD&E; dynamics to their churches. Chuck's brother Paul Smith was fired for preaching essentially the same message as per Chuck's Parson2Parson memo!
