The oldest language in Europe
The oldest language in Western Europe and all of Europe
Basque is that its ancestor was spoken in western Europe before (possibly long before) the ancestors of all the other modern western European languages arrived there.
That is, Spanish, French and all the others are descended from languages which were introduced into western Europe (from farther east) at a time when the ancestor of Basque was already there.

From the Parlametric series of sound recordings in the Alan Lomax Collection: T5248 R06, Warao man tells his life story, 1/4" wide magnetic audio tape, 5" reel, 3.75 ips., recording by Jorge Preloran.
This is a recording from Alan Lomax's Parlametrics collection (http://research.culturalequity.org/psr-parla.jsp), which is comprised of recordings made by linguists from around the world as well as by Alan Lomax himself.
Through a collaboration with The Long Now Foundation's Rosetta Project (http://rosettaproject.org/blog/02011/aug/29/lomax-collection/), the original reel-to-reel tapes were digitized, cataloged, and are now available through multiple online sources. The original notes that accompanied the tapes were at times incomplete, indefinite, illegible or missing. Because of this, the language in this recording may have been misidentified. Source Encoding (Language of Coins: 4/12)
Introduction to coding theory (variable length source coding) with a lossless compression problem. This simplified problem only deals with sending unary symbols (plucks) to send single symbols. Source encoding attempts to compress the data from a source in order to transmit it more efficiently.

The beautiful magyar (Hungarian) language.
http://www.es.hu/?view=doc;25741
This video is devoted to show the beauty and unique nature of Hungarian language that is a member of the Uralic family of languages. It is distantly related to Finnish, but is most closely related to Khanty and Mansi (which each have a only few thousand speakers todays). Effectively, Hungarian is an isolate in Central Europe and unrelated to the Slavic, Germanic and Romance languages spoken in neighboring states (and all of which are a part of the Indo-European language family).
I will argue about neither historical facts nor fictions but all of chauvinist comments will be removed promptly and no matter which nationality their authors belong to.

The Lonely Island - YOLO (feat. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar)
YOLO is available on iTunes now! http://smarturl.it/lonelyIslandYolo
New album coming soon...
Check out the awesome band the music in YOLO is sampled from The Joy Formidable:
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheJoyFormidable/
Big thanks to Love Me for the artwork: http://lovemewashere.com
LYRICS:
Adam Levine: YOLO
Andy: YOLO, you only live once.
The battle cry of a generation.
This life is a precious gift.
So don't get too crazy,
it's not worth the risk.
Chorus
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young.
So don't be dumb.
Don't trust anyone,
cause you only live once.
Verse 1
Kiv: Ugh, you only live once,
thats the motto.
So take a chill pill,
ease off the throttle.
Jorm: Never go to loud clubs
cause it's bad for your ears.
Your friends will all be sorry
when they can't hear.
Andy: And stay the hell away from drugs
cause they not legal.
Then bury all your money in the backyard
like a beagle.
Kiv: Cause you should never trust a bank
They've been known to fail.
And never travel by car, a bus,
boat or by rail.
Jorm: And don't travel by plane.
And don't travel at all.
Build a bomb shelter basement
with titanium walls.
Andy: And wear titanium suits
in case pianos fall on ya.
And never go in saunas
cause they're crawlin' with piranhas.
Kiv: And never take the stairs
cause they're often unsafe.
You only live once,
don't let it go to waste.
CHORUS
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young,
so hold off on the fun.
Cook your meat 'til it's done,
cause you only live once.
Verse 2
Jorm: Yeah,
and here's another piece of advice:
Stay away from kids
cause their hair is filled with mad lice.
Andy: There's no such thing
as too much Purell.
This a cautionary tale,
word to George Orwell.
Kiv: So don't 1980 force
any plugs into sockets.
Always wear a chastity belt
and triple lock it.
Jorm: Then hire a taster
make him check your food for poison.
And if you think your mailman is a spy
then destroy him.
Andy: No blankets or pajamas
they can choke you in your sleep.
Two words about furniture:
killing machines.
Kiv: Board your windows up
the sun is bad for your health.
And always wear a straight jacket
so you're safe from yourself.
Kendrick Lamar:
Take no chances (no chances)
Stop freelancin' (right now)
Invest in your future,
don't dilute your finances (uh huh)
401K, make sure it's low risk
Then get some real estate (how much?)
4.2%Thirty year mortgage,
that's important, that's a great deal
And if you can't afford it,
don't forge it on your last bill
Renting is for suckers right now
A dependable savings,
and you'll retire with money in your account.
Beast.
All:
YOLO, say no no.
Isolate yourself
and just roll solo
Be care-folo
You oughta look out
also stands for YOLO.
Chorus
Adam Levine:
You know that we are still young.
Burn the prints off your thumbs.
Then pull out all your teeth,
so you can't bite your tongue.
Only on this earth for a short time, time
So don't go outside, cause you don't want to die, die.
Just take our advice and hide
and scream YOLO to the sky.
Andy: You oughta look out.

'US plots to isolate Iran fail as 120 nations attend NAM summit'
The Syrian delegation has walked out on a session of the Non-Aligned movement in Tehran after Egyptian leader Mohammed Morsi called the Syrian regime "oppressive".
In his speech, Morsi added that Assad's government had lost its legitimacy, and urged attending nations to support the rebels.
Anti-war activist Sara Flounders says Morsi is trying to do America's bidding, who didn't want to see the meeting go ahead.

How To Isolate A Brake Pulsation - Eric The Car Guy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
This is one of those useful tips that can help you isolate where a brake pulsation is coming from, front or rear. Keep in mind this only works on some systems and if you have a pedal type parking brake be VERY careful doing this especially if you're on a public road as the rear wheels could lock up which would make for a very bad day, also be careful on wet roads for the same reason. Otherwise check your rear brake set up to find out if it's even possible to differentiate between the 2, remember if it's a disc brake set up with a drum brake inside the disc this method won't work so in that case you're just going to have to go by 'feel' and guess where the pulsation is coming from unless you have a micrometer with a magnet attachment that you can use to check for the runout.

Never the Same
The Sawi were headhunters and cannibals when a young couple named Don and Carol Richardson arrived in their village carrying their seven-month-old boy Steve—and a message that would change the tribe forever. The year was 1962, and Steve—and later, three more children—spent their youth among the Sawi, learning the language and embracing the culture in ways that would shape the rest of their lives. Their story was immortalized in the best-selling book Peace Child and a feature film of the same name, inspiring a new generation to take the gospel to the remaining isolated tribes of the earth.
Fifty years later, Steve joins his father, Don, and two brothers, Shannon and Paul, to visit the Sawi village where they grew up. What is the state of the church they planted among the Sawi? Are the friends they played with still alive? Will anyone remember the mark their family left on the tribe? Journey with Steve as he travels to the swamps of Papua, Indonesia, to introduce you to the Sawi, and explore the impact of the gospel among a previously unreached people group.

A MEXICAN TOY STORY
"I saw something in street toys. I saw moments of joy, and perhaps the fear that this Mexico was disappearing."
- Roberto Shimizu, toy collector.
Versión en Español en http://albamora.com/?p=719
SYNOPSIS/
What does a 65-year-old man do when he has one million toys in his personal collection? Mexican architect Roberto Shimizu opened an underground museum at his home in Mexico City.
The architect’s collection is not the result of a short-term buying spree. Instead he started collecting very young, back in 1955. Shimizu’s parents were Japanese immigrants who ran a business importing food and toys so his earliest treasures were gifts from them. But most of his toys are objects he recovered from flea markets, bazaars, scrap merchants and a network of suppliers. Today Shimizu has the biggest and most important toy collection in all of Latin America, with pieces that span the 19th and 20th centuries.
To someone else, the million-toy collection might look like a fantastic tourist attraction and a chance to make money. But Shimizu deliberately located his museum in a working-class neighborhood, Colonia Doctores, a place people go to buy stolen car parts. He calls it “a live museum for living Mexicans.”
And rather than charge admission, Shimizu has kept the entrance almost free, even though he has no public or private financial support for the enterprise. “I want to show Mexican youth that old toys are truly creative and they encourage sociability,” he says, complaining about the isolating nature of today’s videogames.
The museum is a family-run business. Shimizu’s son, Roberto Shimizu Jr., organizes visits and events, like the popular collectors’ fair, Collec. Twice a month, collectors of all sorts converge in an empty floor of this museum to exchange their ideas, objects and obsessions. Anyone can sign up for Collec and have a stand. Emerging Mexican artists showcase their work next to comic collectors, publishing houses and freelance designers. All sorts of aficionados and treasure hunters come to this unique fair to explore and discover.

Ghosts of the Faithful Departed
It has been estimated that between 1949 and 1989 over 800,000 people were forced to leave Ireland. Something in the order of half of this outflow occurred during the 1950s. The peak was reached in 1955 when 55,000 young people left our shores. In a census taken in 1956 the population of the country fell to 2.8 million the lowest ever recorded and led one author to question "Are we becoming the Vanishing Irish and would we survive as a race if something wasn't done to stem the outflow?
Those who stayed had to suffer continued hardships, isolation & social exclusion. The rural communities were decimated by the impact of emigration. Many of those who stayed in this decade did so in silence as they watched family members and friends leave. Now in a new millennium these people have passed on and their homes stand as a monument to a bygone age.
