Seven years ago, on his third trip to the Black Sea, Dr. Robert Ballard discovered a miraculously well-preserved Byzantine shipwreck, but his team could only take pictures. Now, Ballard returns with state-of-the-art technology and a revolutionary $1.5 million robot known as "Hercules" to excavate two shipwrecks for the first time ever, including one of the most pristine ancient vessels ever found. Ballard and his team have only two weeks, so they must work in perfect precision on their hunt for the Ghost Ships of the Black Sea.

Dark Secrets of the Black Sea - Uncovering the Roots of Early Civilization
The Black Sea is a place of great mystery and antiquity. Ancient legends describe a time when the oceans rose above the land, causing an entire civilization to vanish beneath the cold waters of this ocean region. Could this be the great flood described in the Bible during the time of Noah?
Today scientists are beginning to discover what may have caused the oceans to rise and are developing new insights about an ancient advanced culture that existed in this mysterious part of the world. This program presents amazing archeological evidence of ancient advanced technology and a long lost advanced civilization that flourished in the Dead Sea region before the end of the last Ice Age.
Includes the facts about this amazing mystery and features, on-site investigations, ancient artifacts, under water archeology, and a fascinating series of spellbinding interviews with researchers, scientists, archeologists and the best-known most credible Black Sea authorities in the world today.

The Black Sea was a lake
The Black Sea is an inland sea bounded by Europe, Anatolia and the Caucasus and is ultimately connected to the Atlantic Ocean via the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas and various straits. The Bosphorus strait connects it to the Sea of Marmara, and the strait of the Dardanelles connects it to the Aegean Sea region of the Mediterranean. These waters separate eastern Europe and western Asia. The Black Sea also connects to the Sea of Azov by the Strait of Kerch.
The Black Sea has an area of 436,400 km2 (168,495.0 sq mi), a maximum depth of 2,206 m (7,238 ft), and a volume of 547,000 km³ (133,500 cu mi). The Black Sea forms in an east-west trending elliptical depression which lies between Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. It is constrained by the Pontic Mountains to the south, the Caucasus Mountains to the east and features a wide shelf to the north-west. The longest east-west extent is about 1,175 km.
Important cities along the coast include Batumi, Burgas, Constanţa, Giresun, Istanbul, Kerch, Kherson, Mangalia, Năvodari, Novorossiysk, Odessa, Ordu, Poti, Rize, Samsun, Sevastopol, Sochi, Sukhumi, Trabzon, Varna, Yalta and Zonguldak.
The Black Sea has a positive water balance, which results in a net outflow of water 300 km³ per year through the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles into the Aegean Sea (part of the Mediterranean Sea). Mediterranean water flows into the Black Sea as part of a 2-way hydrological exchange. The Black Sea outflow is cooler and less saline , and therefore floats over the warm, more saline Mediterranean inflow. The Black Sea also receives river water from large Eurasian fluvial systems to the north of the Sea, of which the Don, Dnieper and Danube are the most significant.
In the past, the water level has varied significantly. Depending on the water level in the basin, varying surrounding shelf and associated aprons are aerially exposed. At certain critical depths, it is possible for connections with surrounding water bodies to become established. It is through the most active of these connective routes, the Turkish Straits, that the Black Sea joins the global ocean system. When this hydrological link is not present, the Black Sea is a lake, operating independently of the global ocean system. Currently the Black Sea water level is relatively high, thus water is being exchanged with the Mediterranean. The Turkish Straits connect the Black and Aegean Seas and comprise the Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles.

The Battle of The Black Sea: MSG Paul Howe's Untold Story of Black Hawk Down
On October 3, 1993 a group of US Rangers and Special Operations soldiers set out on a mission into the heart of the Bakara market in Mogadishu. What started as a mission that should have lasted 30 minutes turned into a battle for their lives. Known by these men as the Battle of the Black Sea and later portrayed in the motion picture Black Hawk Down, here is the untold story of that battle as told by Delta Force member MSG Paul R. Howe, retired.
In this three hour exclusive interview, Paul gives an in-depth look at what led up to and what occurred during and after October 3 and 4, 1993. He talks about the living conditions soldiers endured in Mogadishu, the UN Joint Forces stationed there, the media, decisions that were made by our military, the search for Aidid, planning for the mission, the mission assets, Operation Gothic Serpent including the downed Black Hawks, the convoy, staying overnight, and the extraction the next day. Paul also talks about the After Action Report, lessons learned by our military from that battle, combat mindset, and Somalia today. Paul sets the story straight and gives an unvarnished account of what took place in Somalia in 1993.
Paul served 20 years in the US Army, ten of those in Special Operations. He served as a Tactical Team Leader and Senior Instructor while assigned to Army Special Operations. During his tour in special operations he was involved in several combat actions including the battle in Mogadishu. Today Paul is a high-risk training instructor and owner of the CSAT (Combat Shooting and Tactics) training facility in Nacogdoches, TX. He authored two books: "Leadership and Training For The Fight" and "Tactical Trainer" and has numerous instructional videos.

Burning UFO Slams Into Black Sea 2012 HD
An incredible burning object which slammed into the Black Sea, Ordu, Turkey, could possibly have been a meteorite, officials claim. Others claim it was a UFO, as sightings of unknown objects have been reported around that area for several weeks. A security camera recorded the impact and loud boom. Meteorite or UFO, as always you decide.

Black Sea: Summer spot or sex slave route
Ukrainian city of Odessa has become a hub for the sex slave industry. Its strategic port location makes it a hot spot for human trafficking between the region and the rest of the world. Hundreds of thousands come to Odessa during the high tourist season. Yet for many this harbor is a point of no return, as it is from here that most sex slaves are trafficked to other countries.

Dark Secrets of the Black Sea
The evidences in this video uncover that the Atheists in the public schools, colleges and Socialist media outlets lied when they claimed that the ice age ended in 10,000 BC and they occur every 100,000 years, when it reveals that the Black Sea, which was a fresh water lake during the ice age, which began after the flood around 2350 BC, was infilled at the end of the ice age when the ice began to melt by the rising ocean waters, which according to historians took place around 1500 BC during the reigns of the Greek Kings Dardanus and Seacrops. This video also reveals that tools made of stone, bone and bronze were all in use during this time period and reflected the culture and the resources in the area they were found, rather than the Atheist's claim that they represent different time periods in the evolution of man's technological skills.
If you would like to watch a video that explains how the Woolly Mammoths died in the dust storms that occurred at the end of the ice age, which began after and as a result of the flood described in the Bible, around 2350 BC and ended around 1500 BC please go to the video called Mammoths and the Ice Age at:

euronews futuris - Maps: Colouring in the Black Sea
http://www.euronews.com/ What do microscopic molecules and huge computer grids have in common? They both build up giant scientific databases of ecosystems around the World. But it is a tricky process.
This is the story of how researchers around the Black Sea are struggling to get the bigger picture out of tiny details.
On the shores of the Danube River there is an unusual team. Romanian and Ukranian scientists are embarking on a common research trip.
They are assessing the hydrological and biological health of the Danube Delta, a huge Biosphere Reserve shared by both countries. The news is good.
"Algae blooming is decreasing. And lately we have seen the development of some aquatic species that are biological indicators of a better quality of the water around here," explains Jenica Hanganu, Ecologist of the Danube Delta Research Institute.
Less industrial discharges and more efficient water treatment plants are indeed improving water quality in the Danube Delta. But the region is facing other challenges.
Iulian Michersu, Geographer with the Danube Delta Research Institute says: "The Danube has now many dams and dikes. That means that the Delta is narrower and the river is getting deeper, and that affects the biodiversity of the whole area. Oaks that used to grow on the shores are retreating, because the river flow is becoming much more vertical than horizontal and it offers less ground."
Challenges are similar on the Delta's Ukranian side. The river's own environmental patterns are no respecter of the political borders.
"The main problem on the Ukranian side of the Delta is dramatic high water levels caused by floods. Also, the construction of dams along the Danube has caused difficulties in the water exchanges between the river and the adjacent lakes - that leads to the ecological exhaustion of these basins," points out Mikhail Kornilov, Hydrologist with the Danube Hydrometeorological Observatory.
Water samples, zooplancton and sediments gathered during the research cruise are then taken to labs for further analysis. Here again the news is encouraging as Liliana Teodorof, chemist with the Danube Delta Research Institute explains: "Over the last few years, we have indeed seen a decrease in the concentrations of heavy metals like cadmium, zinc and lead. These heavy metals, originating from industry and agricultural sources, are still present, but their incidence is retreating both in the sediments and in the water of the Danube Delta".
This chemical, atmospheric, microbiological and zoological data gathering is regularly performed on the Danube Delta. But the results are not kept in a lab's drawer. Instead, all this data is flying high.
In Geneva, environmental data from around the Black Sea basin, including the Danube Delta, is being used to elaborate interactive maps and databases for the sake of busy researchers.
"They say that we researchers lose 50 percent of our time, if not more, sifting through all the scientific data. And often it arrives here in very different formats, with qualities which are also very different. So we have to transform the data to be compatible with the software we use," explains Gregory Giuliani, Environmental scientist, with the University of Geneva.
The whole Black Sea basin is 2.2 million square kilometres, which means a deluge of daily data to be processed.
So scientists from a European Union research project needed a helping hand in the form of Grid computing. Nicolas Ray a biologist at the University of Geneva, with the help of a map full of dots explains: "Each of these points represents a University or other computing centre that provides us with tens, hundreds or thousands of computers. So we have access to some of this computing grid that allows us to send our simulations on multiple computers simultaneously and thus shorten the total computation time for our hydrological model."
Researchers have so far developed computer models for soil uses, demography and hydrological data - like water flows or level of pesticides - in the Black Sea basin, shared by 20 countries.
And all is provided in formats adapted to different platforms.
"Here we see the same example, it is stored in our system and, in one click, I can see it on Google Earth. Potentially I can also take it on a smartphone or tablet, I can see exactly the same data, and we're going to immediately start working, and thus spend more time doing the analysis of what we have been given or understand the phenomena instead of wasting time looking for information," says Gregory Giuliani an environmental scientist at the University of Geneva.

More than 200 coins, mainly bronze, were found along with "various items of gold, silver and bronze jewelry and glass vessels" inside an ancient fortress within the Artezian settlement in the Crimea (in Ukraine)
The fortress city of Artezian, covered an area of at least 3 acres. At the time, the kingdom's fate was torn between two brothers —Mithridates VIII, who sought independence from Rome, and his younger brother, Cotys I, who was in favor of keeping the kingdom a client state of the growing empire. The besieging Roman army was sent to support Cotys, and was busy torching settlements controlled by Mithridates, including Artezian.
"We can say that these hoards were funeral sacrifices. It was obvious for the people that they were going to die shortly," stated Nikolaï Vinokurov, a professor at Moscow State Pedagogical University.
Oddly, each hoard included exactly 55 coins minted by Mithridates VIII. "This is possibly just a simple coincidence, or perhaps these were equal sums received by the owners of these caskets from the supporters of Mithridates," the team wrote in its report.
The city was torched by the Romans, but later rebuilt by Cotys, who was successfully enthroned by Rome, though the treasures hidden by the previous residents was never discovered.

BLACK SEA AFFAIR TRAILER
It starts with a high-stakes theft: weapons-grade plutonium is stolen from Russia. The Russian army is about to attack Chechnya to get it back. But U.S. intelligence discovers that the stolen shipment is actually on a rogue Russian freighter in the Black Sea.
It turns into a global nightmare: a secret mission gone awry; an American submarine commander arrested and hauled before a military tribunal in Moscow; and a game of brinksmanship so dangerous that war might be its only possible conclusion.
As the U.S. Navy searches for weapons-grade plutonium that has been smuggled out of Russia by terrorists, a submarine mishap escalates the international crisis. With the world watching, JAG Officer Zack Brewer is called to Moscow to defend submarine skipper Pete Miranda and his entire crew. It is a heart-stopping race against the clock. With Russian missiles activated and programmed for American cities, Brewer stalls for time as the U.S. Navy frantically searches the high seas for a floating hydrogen bomb that could threaten New York Harbor.
