Reed Irvine (September 29, 1922 – November 16, 2004) was an economist who founded the media watchdog organization Accuracy in Media, and remained its head for 35 years.

Notable commentaries focused on the El Salvador Civil War, the Persian Gulf War, and the Clinton administration.

On the El Salvador Civil War, he criticized reporter Raymond Bonner with particular regard to his reporting in the New York Times of the El Mozote massacre. He devoted an entire edition of the AIM Report to Bonner, reporting that "Mr. Bonner had been worth a division to the communists in Central America."

During the Persian Gulf War in 1991, "he accused CNN and its reporter Peter Arnett of airing 'Saddam Hussein's version of the truth. There's no way his reporting is helping America win this war.'"

In 1994 Irvine defended the controversial Washington Times, founded by Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon, saying: "The Washington Times is one of the few newspapers in the country that provides some balance."

During the Clinton administration, in 1998 at the Conservative Political Action Conference, he claimed there was a conspiracy within the Republican Party to "suppress investigations of Clinton administration scandals. 'Conspiracy is a word that has been given a very bad connotation – it's become synonymous with "kooky,"' he told a Post reporter. 'But really it has a very good connotation.' In other words, he elaborated, some conspiracy theories are valid. But not Hillary Clinton's notion of a vast right-wing conspiracy. 'She's kooky,' he said."

Andrew Breitbart (pronounced /ˈbraɪtbɑrt/ (February 1, 1969 – March 1, 2012) was an American publisher, commentator for The Washington Times, author, and occasional guest commentator on various news programs, who served as an editor for the Drudge Report website. He was a researcher for Arianna Huffington, and helped launch her web publication The Huffington Post.

He ran his own news aggregation site, Breitbart.com, and five other websites: Breitbart.tv, Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism, and Big Peace. He played key roles in the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal, the resignation of Shirley Sherrod, and the ACORN 2009 undercover videos controversy.

Breitbart was the adopted son of Gerald and Arlene Breitbart, a restaurant owner and banker respectively, and grew up in upscale Brentwood, Los Angeles. He was raised Jewish (his adoptive mother had converted to Judaism when marrying his adoptive father). He had explained that his birth certificate indicated his biological father was a folk singer. He was ethnically Irish by birth, and his adopted sister is Hispanic. He changed his political views after experiencing an "epiphany" during the Clarence Thomas hearings, and later described himself as "a Reagan conservative" with libertarian sympathies.

Danny Lee "Dan" Burton (born June 21, 1938) is the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 5th congressional district, and previously the 6th district, serving since 1983. He is a member of the Republican Party. The district includes most of the northern suburbs of Indianapolis as well as the southern fringe of the Fort Wayne area: Tipton, Grant, Miami, Wabash, Huntington, Hamilton, and Hancock counties, and parts of Marion, Shelby, Howard and Johnson counties.

Burton was born in Indianapolis, the son of Bonnie L. (née Hardesty) and Charles W. Burton. His father, a former policeman, was abusive to his mother, and never held a job for very long. The family moved constantly, living in trailer parks, cabins, and motels. In June 1950, some years after the couple divorced, his mother went to the police and got a restraining order against his father. He responded by kidnapping Burton's mother. Burton and his younger brother and sister were briefly sent to the Marion County Children's Guardian Home. After his mother escaped, Burton's father went to jail for two years. Burton's mother remarried, and Burton and his younger brother and sister had happier teenage years.

Catherine Herridge (born May 18, 1964) is an American Homeland Security correspondent for the Fox News Channel. She had hosted the Saturday edition of Weekend Live.

Joining the network at its inception in 1996, she originally was a London-based correspondent for ABC News. Herridge has also served as a field correspondent for the past Fox newsmagazine, The Pulse.

She has covered a number of different stories including Hillary Clinton’s campaign for Senate in 2000, the 2004 Democratic presidential elections, the Washington, D.C. sniper story, coverage on US sponsored resolution calling for the lifting of sanctions against Iraq, and the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui, the only person charged in the U.S. over the 9/11 attacks. Herridge was in New York on September 11, 2001, and reported for the network from locations in New York City.^{[citation needed]}

Herridge has been a recipient of a number of awards for her work in journalism, including a Bronze World Medal from the New York Festivals for excellence in communications media. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a Master’s degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.^{[citation needed]}

Ali G (born Alistair Leslie Graham) is a satirical fictional character created and performed by English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. Originally appearing on Channel 4's Eleven O'Clock show, as the title character of Channel 4's Da Ali G Show in 2000 and on HBO in 2003–2004, he is also the title character of the film Ali G Indahouse. Cohen's character Ali G, along with Borat and Brüno, has been retired.

The character of Ali G is a stereotype of a white suburban male from Staines (now Staines-upon-Thames) who imitates rap culture as well as urban British and Jamaican culture, particularly through hip hop, reggae, drum and bass and jungle music. Ali G was part of a group called Berkshire Massif, and he ran and grew up in an area of Slough called Langley (both actual locations in the UK). He also lived part of his life in Staines. Baron Cohen has stated that BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood was an influence on the development of the Ali G character – Westwood hosts Radio 1's Rap Show and speaks in a faux Multicultural London English and Hip-Hop dialect. Ali G's middle class credentials mirror Westwood's: the latter was brought up in Lowestoft, Suffolk as a bishop's son.
