Talib Kweli feat. Bahamadia - Chaos
this song is from the 1999 "SoundBombing 2" on Rawkus Records....Kweli's rhymes are blazin' and Bahamadia's flow is really smooth... Lyrics: [Talib Kweli] We your rhyme sayers we lead you like a beacon of light out of the chaos cuttin down overzealous players who stare we're the winners of the game Walk in we'l prepared climbin the stairways to heaven while you scared of the people livin under ground heard the sound of the clap made you wonder If it was a gun the crowd or some thunder All of that was out my window when I was younger Now I'm much older, lyrical clap MC's If you don't know by now, let me aquaint you with my steez (C'mon) I don't get on stage and waste your time Niggaz got a lot to say but they just can't rhyme They just babies, I snatch em out they incubators Attach them to respirators, they breathin hard like Darth Vader Hard as candy and suck like Now or Laters After a while your style's tasteless and it GOT NO FLAVOR [Bahamadia] Projects my eyesights to the heavens like dead or wise sages Release what I hold save it through my book of rhyme pages Scripts be ageless, like scrolls from dead sea The cadence off and on like the motion of Tai Chi Ba-ha-ma-D, wor-dy, to Reflect, Eternally Science to a remedy to help and get my people free, but little support, got my thesis on freeze My only option's doin bootlegs for the Japanese Get about eight G's, a heavy buzz overseas Sacrifice a pill to mainstream and do what I believe, cause down to the chromosomes I'm a ...

Guru - Respect the Architect (lyrics) [ft. Bahamadia]
From Guru's second Jazzmatazz album "The New Reality" (1995) ... Even though all Guru's Jazzmatazz albums are great, this one is by far the best one, imo. - lyrics: "So respect the architect" - BizMarkie (cut 3X) "So respect the architect as I begin to build" [Bahamadia] I'm mystical don't be deceived by the visual Visible preference is pure patent it back to metaphors Greetin em Illa del style wild Analyze my memoirs runnin on 8/4 poetic me ter soarin way beyond iambic pentameter or juvenile flam Unsyncopated soul piercin earlobes and egos my vocals read these thoughts - am I hardcore? To the grain [Guru] Lame game plain Jane MC's can't approach these I shake chumps like fleas, I hold the keys to drive you, guide you, provide you with the real joints, ahem I clear my throat of phlegm The architect, selecting the blueprints to rid the game of nuisance Sucker reducin with the fusion Rhymes solid like cement in my musical solution Stackin concrete flows, look out below "So respect the architect" - BizMarkie (cut 2X) - "as I begin to build" [Guru] Rhymes get all up in your grill like freckles Most MC's couldn't see me, with bi-focal spectacles There's no protectin you, with realness, I'm wreckin you I'm beggin you, take a look into the cypher You're dirt on my windshield, so I'm turnin on my wipers And I can see clearly now no other rapper is near me And all you perpetrators, shall fear me now [Bahamadia] Never flip folklores, only realness coincide with the rhythm like I ...

The Roots feat. Bahamadia - Proceed 3
this is remix of the song "Proceed" from the 1995 album "Do you want more?!!!??!" Lyrics: Rock on, to the break of dawn Freak on to the early morn Khadafi and Sue-kwon, you got it goin on To my man Big Shawn, you got it goin on, now, yo You got The Roots in the house We also got Bahamadia in the house, representin lovely With you ears now proceed It's flavor you wouldn't believe as we proceed Chorus: I shall... proceed... and continue... to rock the mic (2X) Verse One: Malik B Let's, kill all the small talk, and just elaborate The Roots collaborate I see myself as rather great How the words generate, whole crews disintergrate when I pentrate As if in the course flow with intensive force You best to go and check your source about my textual course Simplicity, it sounds complex, you might miss it But after you critique it you can kiss it I'm assissting fire force that leaves statistics When identify niggaz simplify you'll feel no sympathi My lyrics send you on a permanent excursion I never would decide when your lifespan was submergin My style is urban not surburban when I'm splurgin Gosh these MC's I wash more than detergent I can split the Red Sea but deadly Take heed, illadelph style as I proceed Chorus Verse Two: Bahamadia Bahamadia hits the melodies mellowly Brand new, funk doobie, choosy with the tactics when I gets Raw, like Dice, nice with the flavor, Do You Want More?!!!??! Bahamadia - Paper Thin - 1996.
Bahamadia (Antonia Reed) is a Philadelphia-born hip hop artist born in 1970, and a DJ who later became an MC. As a member of Gang Starr Foundation, she released her critically acclaimed debut album entitled Kollage in 1996. The album featured production by Guru and DJ Premier of Gang Starr. Kollage was followed in 2001 by BB Queen, an EP release. Bahamadia is a respected lyricist in hip hop and is known for her silky, subdued monotone delivery. She has expressed a positive attitude toward globalism as an emerging trend in hip hop. For example, in a 2003 collaboration with little-known group the Sisters of the Underground on a track entitled "Global", she performs lyrics in the chorus which acknowledge Japan, Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Thailand, among other countries, for fostering vibrant hip hop communities, and Japan in particular for the dedication of her Japanese fans. She has recorded a number of bootlegs exclusively released in Japan. Her reputation in North America has been enhanced by a number of highly regarded guest appearances on tracks by artists including Talib Kweli, The Roots, Jedi Mind Tricks and Planet Asia, and through her association with the Philadelphia hip hop collective Army of the Pharaohs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The history books show, as recently as the early nineteenth century women in the United States were considered second-class citizens, subservient to men ...
