We loved it. It combined two of the things we are working to accomplish -- inviting people to classical music and inspiring young musicians. Steven Sharp Nelson had soloed with the orchestra the previous year and loved the spirit and the talent that the orchestra showed at such young ages (ages 13-18!) Together we developed the concept of "Beethoven's 5 Secrets," combining OneRepublic's tune "Secrets" with melodies and moments from all four movements of Beethoven's 5th Symphony. The Hobbit - Misty Mountains Orchestral Cover
I've always been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, so when I heard the Hobbit was also going to be made into a movie, I knew I had to play it. In order to emulate the feel of song, "Misty Mountains," sung by the dwarves in the movie, I decided to ask 12 of my friends (total of 13 - same as the number of dwarves in the book) to help me out with this project. Many, many hours later, here is our orchestral rendition performed with 6 violins, 6 cellos, and 1 cajon. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did making it! Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: One is All, All is One (Re)Orchestra
Just a little remake of One is All, All is One from the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood soundtrack. It was made from scratch and stays mostly faithful to the original but has little bits of Blake-Spin in it. It's a bit rough around the edges but I didn't want to spend too much time on it, so this is about 45 minutes of work and as finished as it'll get. This is the flashmob that we arranged as a final culmination with the participation of 100 people from the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Lieder, Amics de l'Òpera and Coral Belles Arts choirs.
