Fist of Fury 1991 (新精武門1991) is a 1991 Hong Kong film directed by Choh Chung-Sing, and starring Stephen Chow in the lead role. Aside from a few parodied scenes, the film bears no other similarities to the Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury except in title only. A sequel Fist of Fury 1991 II was released the following year.

Stephen Chow in Fight Back To School (1991)
Stephen Chow stars as Chow Sing-Sing, a veteran SDU cop who gets stuck with the unenviable task of going undercover in high school. His mission: to find the missing gun that belongs to his captain (Barry Wong). His help: fellow undercover cop Tat (Ng Man-Tat) who's doubling as the school's janitor. His obstacles: bratty kids, annoying teachers (including Yuen King-Tan and Paul Chun Pui), evil triads (led by official triad actor Roy Cheung) and bastard fellow cops. His reward: possibly his comely teacher, who's played by the typically gorgeous Cheung Man.
To discuss the subtle merits of this film are near impossible. This is basically a ninety minute opportunity to check out the burgeoning comic charisma of Stephen Chow as he kicks ass, humbles lesser individuals, and generally makes a mockery of the system. Eventually plot does kick in and Sing is called upon to rescue the students and the school, but that's just filler material for the wall-to-wall jokes. Suspension of disbelief or actual dramatic tension is completely forgotten thanks to the joys of Stephen Chow showing up snotty kids and adults with his lighting fast kicks and even faster mouth. Guaranteed to tickle the funny bone of those who actually possess a sense of humor.

wiki:
King of Comedy (Chinese: 喜劇之王) is a 1999 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Lee Lik-Chi and Stephen Chow. Unlike Stephen Chow's typical mo lei tau films, King of Comedy verges on comedy drama, describing the trials and tribulation that an aspiring actor experiences on his way to stardom. Some commentators[who?] say the story is based on Stephen Chow's early career, as he started off as a temporary actor, before becoming a successful and popular comedy actor over the course of a decade. The film does retain some of bizarre visual gags Chow is known for, such as Chow's character bleeding from the nose and eyes during a singing number.

So if you know who Stephen Chow is, you've probably already seen Kung-fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer. These videos I put together are scenes from his movies from the 90's only. The best available source for the videos were not always good quality. And I cleaned up the subs a bit but don't speak any Cantonese so they may be off. Hope you enjoy!

Kung Fu Hustle
From Asia's top comedy star Stephen Chow comes Kung Fu Hustle, the highly anticipated follow-up to his smash 2001 hit Shaolin Soccer. Set amid the chaos of pre-revolutionary China, scruffy Sing (Chow) is looking to elevate his status in hopes of joining the sophisticated and ruthless Axe Gang. When Sing attempts to extort money from a local at the crowded apartment complex known as ""Pig Sty Alley,"" his comical attempts at intimidation inadvertently attract the Axe Gang into the conflict. The dilemma finds the inhabitants of the Pig Sty fighting for their lives and unearthing some legendary martial arts masters. Sing now must face his own mortality in order to discover the true nature of the kung fu master.

From Beijing With Love
Director: Super Spy -Stephen Chow Sing-Chi, Lee Lik-Chee
A tonnage of verbal comedy can't offset the fact that this Stephen Chow film works on both physical and emotional levels. Slow to start and rough around the edges, the film still rounds into one of Chow's most satisfying yet.
Stephen Chow stars in (and co-directs) this wacky spy flick that's more Casino Royale than From Russia with Love. Chow plays dumb but cool as pork vendor/secret agent Ling Ling Chat (007), a forgotten Mainland agent called into action when some dinosaur bones go missing. Ubiquitous Anita Yuen shows up as his Hong Kong partner, who also happens to be double-agent working for the opposition. She's assigned to kill him, but slowly starts to melt before his strange, non-sensical charms. Meanwhile, any semblance of an actual plot is destoyed beneath various timeouts for physical and verbal gags. And there's laughter.
The pairing of Chow plus Yuen yields surprising laughs, though their chemistry is nonexistent to begin with. The film starts deceptively slow, and appears to go nowhere through the first half-hour. However, when things pick up, they pick up incredibly well. Chow's superspy is more fool than fantastic, but he manages to create a thoroughly loveably spy savant who packs more toughness than even the viewer can imagine. As the assassin in paw-print pajamas, Anita Yuen seems miscast, but her comedic charms prove an excellent foil to Chow's inanity.
What makes the film a bit tough for casual viewers are the numerous verbal puns that litter the film. Unlike some of Chow's earlier films, the jokes aren't dismissed with yet another quickly-inserted mo lei tau moment. Sometimes the jokes include long pauses for appropriate laughter - which can prove frustrating for those who have no idea what's supposed to be so funny. Also, the film seems incredibly cheap even by Hong Kong standards.
However, that doesn't take away from the obvious visual humor of the film, which takes its cues from Chow's anime-flavored performance style. Bond films are obviously parodied, but references to C'est La Vie, Mon Cheri and Days of Being Wild pop up, too. Many of the visual gags are just more nonsense thrown on top of the pile. In that, they're not unlike Chow's verbal mo lei tau.
Where the film really departs from previous Chow films is in character. Stephen Chow's characters have typically two varieties: the pathetically loveable loser who overcomes all odds, or the sarcastic and self-assured misfit who inevitably triumphs over those around him. Unlike those other characters, Ling Ling Chat isn't inherently engaging. It's only through Chow's even performance and some cool narrative trickery that we come to really like and care for Chat.
From Beijing with Love works best when it sticks to the physical humor and situation comedy instead of the esoteric verbal gags. At first glance it's not a drop-dead funny movie, and by now it's not even Chow's best film (God of Cookery wins that award). However, it's hard to find a Stephen Chow film that grows on the viewer as much as this one.

Stephen Chow in Forbidden City Cop (1996)
Stephen Chow as a superspy in Ancient China. As Ling Ling Fat (008), Chow must protect the Emperor (Cheung Tat-Ming) from evil invaders from the Gum province. First they try to do in the Emperor by kidnapping him and stuffing him in an E.T. suit. Ling Ling Fat arrives to save the day, with help from some of his fancy inventiolns. Then the dastardly Gum guys change tactics: they present Gum Tso (Carman Lee), the most gorgeous prostitute in China to attempt a seduction of the Emperor. However, first they decide to take out Fat.
A huge hit in HK, this film is typical Stephen Chow, which means it plods along aimlessly to hilarious effect. The new twist occurs with Chow's character, who is no longer an idiot-savant or a megalomaniac who falls from grace. This time out, Chow is simply a nice guy. Ling Ling Fat cares about his job, the Emperor, the country, and most of all his loving wife (Carina Lau). Watch for references to other Chow films (From Beijing with Love and Out of the Dark get cited), and the opening bit (which spoofs classic wuxia characters) is drop-dead funny. While a bit uneven at times, the film still manages to cohere into one of Stephen Chow's best in quite a while.

Stephen Chow, Movie Star, Comedian, Communist Party Bureaucrat?
Hong Kong movie star Stephen Chow is better known for his action comedies like "Kung Fu Hustle". Now, he's also a member of one of China's top political advisory bodies.
On January 14th, Guangdong's provincial Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) released the names of its new members. Stephen Chow's is amongst them. He has also joined the unofficial group of "celebrity members of the Guangdong CPPCC". The group includes other Hong Kong celebrities.
The mix of star power and politics is generating discussion. Many have reacted with disbelief or suspicion about the propaganda motives behind the move.
[Lan Shu, Political Commentator] (male, Chinese)
"The fifth generation of Communist Party leaders are working on getting Hong Kong and Macao in line with the party. And some well-known individuals in Hong Kong or overseas may have some deluded optimism that the Communist Party could carry out reform."
Guangdong province borders Hong Kong. The city has seen rising anger against what many see as an attempt by leaders in Beijing to influence how Hong Kong is ruled.
According to the Guangdong News Express Daily, a provincial CPPCC staff member said Chow's membership could be the work of the United Work Front. That's the Communist Party organ tasked with soliciting support from with non-Party groups.
Another staff member commented Chow's inclusion will help Guangdong CPPCC get more media exposure.
[Zhu Xinxin, Former Editor of Hebei People's Radio] (male, Chinese)
"Some provincial CPPCC members are publicized to make the province look good. There should be a basic requirement for someone to be included, not just their status as a celebrity or a star. Do they have the ability or desire to enter politics?"
Stephen Chow joining the CPPCC has also caught interest because many of his roles directly or indirectly ridicule the Communist Party. For example, in the 1991 movie "Tricky Brains" Chow's character ironically praises the Tiananmen Square Massacre after eating a bun that makes you lie.
