phonologies (2011)
A generic love letter is translated into 7 languages. A native speaker recites each text which is then passed on to an instrumentalist which represents their language. Farsi is piano, Swedish is flute, Thai is trombone, etc. Each musician imitates the spoken word sound recording. The multi channel installation plays each of the newly composed "love letters" in a language that is somewhat universal- sound itself.
