LIFE HACKS -- 7 ways to open a Wine bottle without a corkscrew!
Wine. The nectar of the gods. But what if your corkscrew mysteriously goes missing? We've got some simple ways to solve that problem so that you can get your drink on. 1. Hit up your junk drawer and grab a screw hook. Apply it to the cork and get it snug. Now carefully and slowly wiggle out that cork and enjoy the fruit of your labor. 2. Hit that junk drawer again. Find a thick screw and twist it down into the wine stopper. When you are done grab pliers or clippers and twist that bad boy out. Voila. 3. This also can work with a large nail but you need to pound it in at a slight angle and then carefully remove the nail and cork with the back of a hammer. Take your time and you'll be fine. 4. Now you might have heard that banging a bottle against the wall will pop the cork, and you would be right. However, it takes far too long to be effective so don't bother with this trick just move on to something better such as... 5. The shoe string method. Want to really impress? Bore a hole in the cork and tye a big knot in a string. Shove that thing down there and then simply pull up hard on the rest of the string. Plipitty ploppy, time to get sloppy. 6. This one is my favorite. You just need a serrated knife. Take your blade and thrust it into the depths of the evil cork. Now slowly and carefully twist and pull. The cork will be out in moments, unless your bottle is wearing chain mail. 7. Finally, just to keep things fresh I will show you a new method that while not the easiest. Has ...

Poison & Wine | The Civil Wars | OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO [HD]
To download from iTunes: itunes.com Video produced & directed by Becky Fluke. Audio produced by Charlie Peacock. Poison & Wine written by John Paul White, Joy Williams & Chris Lindsey You only know what i want I you to I know everything you don't want me to your mouth is poison your mouth is wine you think your dreams are the same as mine Idon't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I always will I wish you'd hold me when I turn my back well the less I give the more I get back your hands can heal, your hands can bruise I don't have a choice, but I'd still choose you I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I don't love you but I always will I always will I always will I always will I always will Poison & Wine is a musical snapshot about the dichotomy of love - that while it can be the thing that destroys you, it can also be the very same thing that beckons and builds you. This song was our attempt at being as brutally honest about the dangerous and beautiful process of knowing and being known. Meme Proposal | Tim * Audrey
Song credit goes to Christina Perri - A Thousand Years. (All rights reserved to the WMG)
"Tim and Audrey would like to thank all of you for the best wishes. Keep safe and have a very merry Christmas."
For the first time, we got to shoot a proposal and it was real fun. It was a covert mission (ok la..more like a paparazzi mission). We went to venue a day before to scout the place, discuss how to hide those cameras and look at how to be invisible.
On that day, we were all dressed in black. Talked using walkies. Used wine bottles, glasses, cutleries, vases and flowers as cover. We sat around the restaurant as guests but with our cameras on. And yes, we achieved total invisibility. Audrey walked into the restaurant, sat with her friends and never noticed us.
Not until the prime time when Tim revealed himself with meme place cards that was part of his proposal. That was when all the cameras (all 4 in total) started rolling.
In Audrey own words :)
"Even scarier, there was another cameraman hiding behind me the whole time in the corner recording us eating!! Super not aware of my surroundings lo I sure become a victim of crime wan cos people will just sneak up on me and rape/rob/stab/kidnap me easily."
Don't worry Audrey, it was just SK with his tame camera. Not too worry.
It was a very romantic, genuine and touching proposal. Congrats to Tim and Audrey.

The Edge of the Earth - DOCUMENTARY
A documentary about a journey to "The Edge of the Earth". The Gates of the Arctic National Park is the northernmost national park in the U.S. (the entirety of the park lies north of the Arctic Circle). There are no established roads, trails, visitor facilities, or campgrounds in the park.
Following the Alatna River you will see an amazing place people rarely see, including the amazing Arrigetch Peaks.
"For the next two weeks you must survive using the knowledge, skills and gear you bring with you. You will walk or float through intact ecosystems where people have lived with the land for thousands of years. You will experience solitude, self reliance and nature on its own terms. Are you prepared?"
Filmed using Solar Power for Two Weeks = 10,000 combined shutter releases and video clips. Below is the link to how I accomplished this and stored all the pictures and video files.

The Wine Down - Discover Rockpile with Clay Mauritson of Mauritson Wines
EPISODE SYNOPSIS: Clay Mauritson joins The Wine Down to bring some outrageous varietals from his family imprint, Mauritson Wines, and discuss the details of soil, terrain, and elevation of the Rockpile Appellation. Clay is one of the most knowledgeable wine makers we know, and to hear him talk about the environmental impact on the grapes, as well as the distinct traits of different soil is almost intimidating. That is, until his easy going demeanor keeps the character of the conversation down to earth. It goes to show that in the age of mass produced wines, to be an independent winemaker requires more knowledge than ever. Drink up! GUEST BIO: Clay Mauritson's family has been farming in what is now known as the Rockpile Appellation, since 1884. The Mauritson family label finds its home in Dry Creek, home to some of the most awarded wines in California. From his appearance in the Rose Bowl to the Cotton Bowl as an Outside Linebacker for the Oregon Ducks, Clay now finds himself carrying on as the 6th generation grape grower and winemaker. He now combines his family's vineyards with those of his own in the heralded Dry Creek Appellation, located just outside of Healdsburg where he resides with his wife Carrie- Anne, his two sons and two dogs. The Wine Down - Learn About Chilean Wines With Alex Guarachi of Guarachi Family Wines
EPISODE SYNOPSIS: Today we speak with one of the importing pioneers of the the wine world, Alex Guarachi. Up to 20 years ago, Chilean wines were largely unheard of in the states, until the exporting business headed by Guarachi, TGIC Importers, began expanding the market for South American brands in America. Though Chile is now widely recognized as one of the greatest wine producers in the world, the road to get here has been full of hard work for Alex, and he shares some of his history with us. In addition to detailing the growing global market for Chilean wine, Alex shares about his own family imprint, Guarachi Family Wines. We also discuss other trends, upstarts, and unsung heroes in the wine world with an eye on the future and glass full of lovely wine. GUEST BIO: Alex Guarachi hails from Santiago, Chile. One of eight children, wine, some of the best from his homeland, was a staple on the dinner table. When Alex made the pilgrimage from Chile to the US, those wines were nowhere to be found. The entrepreneur vowed to change that and TGIC, Thank God It's Chilean, was born. America had not been formally introduced to Chilean wines, and Alex seized the opportunity of this virtually untapped market. In 1985, through resources of his own, he managed to purchase his first container of Chilean wine. TGIC Importers, Inc. was officially open for business. What began as a one-man show operating out of Alex's dimly lit garage has grown into a multi-million dollar company boasting ...
