Legends of the Hidden Temple - The Lilly-Crested Crown of Clovis I
Legends of the Hidden Temple - Season 3 - The Lilly-Crested Crown of Clovis I Disaster. The frontrunner was doing ok until she got to the Chamber of the Sacred Markers and she just could not find that last marker for the life of her. The run was lost at that moment and there was no salvaging it. In episodes where the Purple Parrots get beaten in the temple games and the team that beats them goes on to have a terrible temple run, I always wonder if the Purple Parrots would have done a better job.... *sadface*

10. Clovis and the Franks
The Early Middle Ages, 284--1000 (HIST 210) Professor Freedman begins his discussion of Gregory of Tours' history of the Merovingian kings. This history differs markedly from the classical invective style used by Procopius. Gregory of Tours' account seems more random by comparison and emphasizes the intervention of the supernatural in everyday life, particularly through the miracles of St. Martin of Tours. Gregory begins his account by showing how Clovis established Frankish hegemony and secured the prominence of the Franks in the post-Roman West. That the Franks were the first Catholic (as opposed to Arian) people among the barbarian invaders also figures heavily in his account. Professor Freedman ends the lecture with a discussion of Clovis' sons, among whom Clovis had divided his empire. Despite their violent internecine conflicts,, Gregory of Tours considers them and their father to be appropriate rulers for savage times. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Paleolithic Giants in America (Solutrean / Clovis)
Indian tribes from North America, Central America and South America have legends of white skinned or light skinned peoples living in the Americas in ancient times, and sometimes before the Indians themselves. For example, the Paiute of Nevada have a legend of "exterminating" a light skinned red haired tribe who spoke a different language than themselves. In this area, red haired, Caucasoid mummies have been found in caves. These remains have been determined Caucasoid by archaeologists and are over 9000 years old. The Aztec god Quetzalcoatl was considered to have a beard, light hair and white skin. Their legends stated that he came from across the oceans and taught the Aztecs how to farm and build. In South America, the white skinned tribe known as the Chachacoyas lived in Peru for thousands of years before being conquered and destroyed by the Inca in the late 1400's, approximately 10 years before the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors. It should be noted that Red headed mummified remains exist in the Paracas region of Peru, and these remains have (HLA - Human Lymphocyte Antigens) markers commonly associated with Europeans.

Clovis West High School Every 15 Minutes 2010
Be sure to watch in 720 HD, looks much better! Also, let me know what you think. Thanks for watching! Every 15 Minutes is a program designed to educate high school students on the effects and consequences of drinking and driving. This one takes place at Clovis West High School in Fresno, CA. Original date of viewing was May 20th, 2010. EFM in California is usually by way of a Grant from the California Highway Patrol Office of Traffic Safety. EFM is typically a two day event for the students and is usually conducted every other year. Day one is when the staged car crash takes place. All of the Juniors and Seniors are released at the sound of a distressed 911 call and gather to watch the events unfold live as they actually happen. Police cars and motorcycles, fire trucks, ambulances, helicopters, news vans and even the County Coroner is usually on hand. This is a large, community involved event. Meanwhile, throughout the day (Every 15 Minutes to be precise), a student is pulled from their class by a grim reaper and a Police Chaplin will read an obituary to the class informing them of their classmate's death. All of the students who are pulled from class become the "living dead" and are on hand at the car crash site, either standing off to the side quietly with white painted faces or sometimes roaming around as the crash unfolds. Day one usually ends with a retreat of sorts, where students are cut off from the world, mobile phones and all, and they usually spend the night at ...

Clovis Cherry Head Conure Takes a Bath
Here is Clovis (He is about 2 years 4 months old) my cherryhead conure. He decided to take a bath and invite my mom along. This is the first or second time he bathed without me splashing my fingers in his tub (he likes company when bathing). He gets really into, as you will see. I tried to get him to talk while recording, but he stayed pretty quiet until the end. Some birds enjoy being blow dried, if you try this and your bird is scared, don't terrorize them with the hair dryer. I've read bird books saying blowdrying is okay as long as it is done carefully . Also check very very often to make sure birdie isn't getting too hot... use the lowest setting at a safe distance! I used to towel Clovis, but since they do that at the vet, he is not fond of towels wrapped around him. I tried the hairdryer one day and he loved it. I stopped since I thought he was dry enough and he gave me a nibble to keep going. I mostly do this when it is not summer since it can be drafty for him and cool where I live. Features audio clips of Cake - Sheep Go to Heaven (I apologize for my sniffling on the audio, got to love allergies)

Buhach Colony Thunder Varsity (5-0) 2011 vs Clovis East Timber Wolves (Thunder TV) Thunder Varsity go on to win 60-7. Next week looking to start league play vs Turlock Bulldogs who are also 4-1. Find more of my videos here www.youtube.com Thunder TV Saturday, Oct. 01, 2011 Prep Football Roundup: Buhach Colony hammers Clovis East Sun-Star staff reports CLOVIS -- After Hammergate, Buhach Colony went out and pounded Clovis East. The Thunder were penalized 15 yards before Friday's night game even started for carrying the sledgehammer they carry onto the field before every game. Apparently, you can't carry hammers on the field in the Central Section. "One kid carries out our hammer before each game," Buhach Colony coach Kevin Swartwood said. "It's voted on by the kids on Thursday. I guess you can't do that in their section." The penalty didn't matter as the Thunder rolled to a 60-7 win to improve to 5-0. Stefon Gold started the rout with a 68-yard touchdown run on BC's third play of the game. "I think our kids were excited to play anyway," Swartwood said. "I don't know if the penalty fired up the kids more, but I was pretty heated." California High School Football - Buhach Colony trounces Clovis East (September 30, 2011: Clovis, CA 93611) In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Buhach Colony Thunder football squad scored a big 60-7 victory over the Clovis East Timberwolves. In their next game, the Thunder clash with the Turlock Bulldogs (Turlock, CA) in a Central California ...

Cow Bone Clovis Part 1
Using a buffalo leg bone, then a cow leg bone to demonstrate direct percussion in making a clovis point. The main point of this video is to show the different stages of using blending flakes to straighten and lower edges slightly while working in series in order to set up edges for rapid reduction using isolated platforms. I also wish to show that non antler percussors are very effective tools. It makes sense to me that many cultures would have more access to these bones than they would antlered animals for billets. There are subtle differences in platforms, and flake surfaces produced by bones, but they are very similar to antler. Bones such as these lower leg bones, once seasoned, make very quick tools and do not require the work to prepare before use that antler does. However, they do not last as long as antler because they are pithy under the outer layer of bone.
