FN Five-seveN 5.7X28mm
Shooting and discussing the Five-seveN, which is, by the way, the trademarked designation for the pistol.
I don't know if you can see it in the video, but the rear sight has been moved all the way to the right by a previous owner of the gun. I did not like the looks of this and was going to center the sight and decide for myself if it had a problem, but I did not have a hex wrench small enough, and we just had the gun for a couple of days. It seemed okay in the few shots I took.
After two days of shooting over 500 rounds and also struggling in this first video with long-range shooting, I discovered that somebody must have just been jerking the trigger and moved the sights, thinking the sights were off. Some of my missing is elevation-related, but I notice that most of my windage problems are misses to the right. I notice that even my hits are mostly on the right side of the targets.
Before we did a Chapter 2 video, I bought a set of hex wrenches small enough and put the rear sight back where it belongs. You'll see in Chapter 2 that I had a little better long-range outcome. :-) It's not that the gun is inaccurate; it's just that I was trying to get used to the gun in this first video, plus the sights were off. Please don't move your rear sight until you let an experienced shooter or two shoot your gun. :-)

Shooting Elite Ammunition 5.7x28 (and .45acp) Into Clay
This video attempts to see what the comparitive difference between a couple of 5.7x28 rounds and a Hydra-Shok .45acp at a typical homed defense distance (10 feet).
The rounds used were:
Elite Ammunition 5.7x28 ProtecTOR 40gr VMax
Elite Ammunition 5.7x28 S5 32gr Trident
Federal Hydra-Shok .45acp 230gr JHP
My intention was to also test a Speer Gold Dot 9mm 115gr JHP but I had an issue with the gun. I will perform the test on that at a later date as well as the 5.7x28 SS197 round. All of the above rounds were fired into 25lb blocks of modeling clay from a distance of 10'.

Big thanks to Dustin for coming on and to History for trusting me with his safety haha.
Oh and I should probably mention dont put a grip pod on your 5.7 unless you have the proper licensing like we do, I know it sounds silly but its one of those little modifications that reclassify weapons, kind of like how taking the stock off an AR makes it pistol.

FN 5.7 vs 50s Truck Door
Some fun with the FN 5.7X28 ( Five-seveN ).
By the way, I say that some of these rounds are 127 grain bullets. Duh, they are just 27-grain bullets. A 127 grain .22 caliber bullet would have to be about three inches long. :-)

5.7x28mm from FN FiveSeven versus 9mm Five-seven
FN 5.7x28mm SS195 and SS197 along with Remington Golden Saber 9mm fired into a stack of wet phone books (soaked 48hrs) to show a comparison of penetration, expansion, and "wound profile" in a like media.
5.7 fired from the FN Fiveseven and the 9mm fired from a browning Hi-Power, all from 7 yards.
Both 5.7 loads showed far greater disruption and damage (by 3-4x) than the 9mm and at a greater depth than the max damage of the 9mm.
9mm and SS195 both penetrated to the same depth, the core of the SS197 penetrated about 10% further.

Letra / Lyrics:
pertenesco ala hermandad armas y lealtad

1998 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L Water Pump Replacement (Part 1) -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
This video is part 1 of the replacement of a water pump on a 5.7L Chevy V8. This video will apply to many other makes that use this engine such as GMC as the engine in this video has been used for many years by GM. I feel it's a job that just about any DIY could do with the right set of tools. The video also covers the diagnosis of the faulty water pump as well as purging the air out of the cooling system when you're done. One last thing. I know the Check engine light is on, it's a catalytic converter code.
This video can be seen in it's entirety with bonus footage such as how I dealt with the speed clip that wouldn't come out as well as the thermostat replacement. You can see this footage by signing up for a Premium Membership at EricTheCarGuy.com. More information can be found here.

22TCM vs 5.7x28 Penetration Testing
Finally, we're putting the 22TCM against the 5.7x25mm to see how they perform side x side against water jugs. We also test a .22LR since it is a very common caliber of similar size. I hope you enjoy the video. Next test will be with Ballistic Gel.

Should I Reload the FN 5.7x28?
Here it is, finally, a video that contains the info you need to help answer the question that's on the mind of many 5.7x28mm shooters.
If you've been involved in firearms long enough you may have felt the tug to expand your cartridge portfolio to include some of the less conventional offerings. Well, the 5.7 is definitely a stand-alone option that will stir some new interest for the shooter looking for something radically different to get involved with.
Every shot fired on this video was handloaded right there in my laundry room where I recorded these segments.
It's not that I'm worried about lawsuits but I do care about other people and their well being. Please don't reload any ammunition until you have carefully studied and understand the many variables that effect pressure in metallic firearms cartridges. If you are at all new to reloading, the 5.7x28 is not a good way to start out.
The camera used to make this video is my well-worn Sony HDR CX110, chipped-up lens, and all.
The tedious task of video editing was made bearable with my Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0 software.
