Carousel Theatre "Call Me Maybe" Video
Donate to Carousel Theatre for Young People by clicking here: www.canadahelps.org The video: One Carousel Theatre staff member dared two other staff members to make a "Call Me Maybe" video if the organization's donors gave $1500 in three days. The wicked awesome donors came through (and then some) - and the two staff members made the video with some silly friends. Carousel friends got dressed up as their favourite 'space' characters, grabbed a bunch of toys, and decorated the rehearsal studio - and then had an afternoon of silly times. The moral of the story: It's good to be silly. About Carousel Theatre: Carousel Theatre is a non-profit arts organization based in Vancouver, BC and is the only theatre company in BC that produces a fully professional season of mainstage programming especially for young people. Each season more than 40 000 young people and their families benefit from Carousel Theatre's unique programming, which includes a mainstage season of Literary Classics at the Waterfront Theatre, a summer Teen Shakespeare Program and a year-round Theatre School for young people ages 3 to 17 years. Carousel Theatre's A Year with Frog and Toad
A sneak peek at Carousel Theatre's production of A Year with Frog and Toad, running at The Waterfront Theatre in Vancouver, BC from March 3 - April 8, 2012. A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD Book and Lyrics by WILLIE REALE Music by ROBERT REALE Based on the books by ARNOLD LOBEL BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND—Carousel Theatre's hit production returns after an award-winning sold-out run in 2010. Arnold Lobel's well-loved characters hop, sing and dance their way from the page to the stage! A Year With Frog and Toad follows the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation in the spring, these two great friends plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding, and learn life lessons along the way, including an important one about friendship and rejoicing in the qualities that make each of us different and special. Carousel Theatre and The Keg Thanks A Million Grant Application
VOTE FOR US! www.thekegthanksamillion.com Carousel Theatre's Application to The Keg Thanks A Million Grant Program. Based in Vancouver, BC , Carousel Theatre is a non-profit arts organization that produces professional theatre for young people and families. We also operate a Theatre School for young people ages 3 -- 17. Our theatre school has over 400 students each year, and all classes take place in Carousel Theatre's Small Studio. Our Theatre School is a huge part of our organization. We offer drama classes for children as young as 3, all the way up to teenagers who are part of our Teen Shakespeare Program. Our exciting and supportive acting courses are geared especially for young actors and are designed to foster imagination, creativity and confidence. The Small Studio is also used by over 150 community groups each year. The space is used by other arts organizations ( rehearsals, workshops, classes), families (birthday parties, reunions) and community members (yoga, sailing, dance, dog handling courses, fundraisers, meetings). Our building is located on Granville Island (a beautiful and busy location in downtown Vancouver) and both of our studios are at capacity each week with many different types of activities. The Small Studio (our Theatre School Classroom) is over 17 years old and has never been renovated and our project is to fix up the classroom and give it a new floor, new lighting and couple other 'fix me ups'.

Pirate Pak Day at Carousel Theatre 2012
August 15th is the only day of the year when adults can order Pirate Paks at White Spot! The folks at Carousel Theatre put on their swashbuckling gear and took advantage of this special day. We headed over to the nearest White Spot Restaurant and ordered Paks for the staff plus Howard Jang and Valerie Prodanuk of the Arts Club. Two dollars of every Pak sold is donated to the Zajac Ranch for Children, a long-time BC charity dedicated to giving children and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities an unforgettable summer camp experience.

Summer Theatre of New Canaan: Carousel
A Classic American Masterpiece. Join us in July for one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most cherished musicals, Carousel. With classic songs such as "If I Loved You", "June Is Bustin' Out All Over" and "You'll Never Walk Alone", this story touches upon life, love, and family. Brilliant sets, costumes, and an unbeatable cast complement this celebrated Broadway score. Under the stars, Carousel will be an experience you won't soon forget. "It's amazing... a wonderful production with great, singing actors, lively dancing, a full orchestra and imaginative staging." - Marlene Gaylinn, Connectictut Critics Circle "You can't beat the quality of this production. Run to get your tickets and bring your friends. It's about as good as you can hope for, anywhere, including Broadway." - Tom Nissley, Connectictut Critics Circle "CAROUSEL spins gloriously into New Canaan. A magical merry-go-round figures prominently in the classic musical swirling with fancifulness and passion... Allegra Libonati directs a fine ensemble cast in this "heavenly" production." - Bonnie Goldbert, Connectictut Critics Circle

Many thanks to Josh Groban and the Find Your Light Foundation for this opportunity.

A glimpse into the talent and fun of an evening at the Carousel Music Theater in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Check us out at www.carouselmusictheater.org Songs from our Rodgers and Hammerstein Cabaret, and classic fifties songs. Now, this is the first time I used a video camera, the first time I used iMovie, and the first video posted, so improvements will follow, but the singers and songs are top notch.

We Are Golden - Teen Shakespeare Program LipDub 2012
LipDub celebrating The Carousel Theatre Teen Shakespeare Program's 2012 production of The Tempest. The Teen Shakespeare Program has been performing the Bard outdoors for 22 years now! Every summer, the program provides pre-professional theatre training to teens in an intensive six-week program that culminates in a fully staged production open to the public. During the program, teen actors receive training in voice, movement, text analysis and professionalism; the participants are treated not as teens, but as professional artists. Participants pay a nominal fee to offset the cost of hiring professional directors, however bursaries are available to ensure the program is accessible to all.
