The AFI Presents a Salute to William Wyler (1976)
This clip of Barbra is from the "The American Film Institute Presents a Salute to William Wyler" (1976). Unfortunately, the quality of this clip isn't perfect...but I thought Barbra looked perfect (in one of my favourite outfits on her from that era).

William Wyler´ s world
This 10 minute short film is a Tribute to Producer-Director William Wyler. The film also shows with hundred of clips all the Wyler´ s characteristics in acting style and the reaction of the performances. The pictures and clips show his career since he was a child until his last days working in his office and at home, where he died. His style and perfection was unique, natural and powerful. Filmmaker Juan Carlos Fauvety wrote a thesis about William Wyler which was consulted in UCLA in 2004

Dead End (1937) - Best Scene
This is a short clip from William Wyler's "Dead End" (1937), a classic drama starring Humphrey Bogart, Joel McCrea, Claire Trevor, and Sylvia Sidney. A hoodlum, Hugh 'Baby Face' Martin (Bogart), visits his old neighborhood in New York. He decides to see his teenage sweetheart Francey (Claire Trevor). Martin and Francey are bitterly surprised to learn what they have become: Martin is a doomed killer and Francey is a diseased prostitute. This is one of the most emotionally powerful scenes in the film. I think Bogart's acting, especially his face when he realizes that Francey is a prostitute, is absolutely superb. This film is notable as being the first film appearance of the Dead End Kids.

Roman Holiday
Roman Holiday was nominated for ten Academy Awards®, and Audrey Hepburn captured an Oscar® for her portrayal of a modern-day princess rebelling against her royal obligations who explores Rome on her own. She meets Gregory Peck, an American newspaperman who, seeking an exclusive story, pretends ignorance of her true identity. But his plan falters as they fall in love. Eddie Albert contributes to the fun as Peck's carefree cameraman pal. Stylishly directed by William Wyler, this romantic comedy ranks as one of the most enjoyable films of all Times.

Vacanze romane (Roman Holiday) è un film del 1953
Roman Holiday is a 1953 romantic comedy directed and produced by William Wyler. It stars Gregory Peck as a reporter and Audrey Hepburn as a royal princess out to see Rome on her own. Hepburn won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance; the screenplay and costume design also won... Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 -- 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Hepburn was ranked as the third greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema and a place in the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. She was active during the Hollywood's Golden Age. Born in Ixelles, a district of Brussels, Hepburn spent her childhood between Belgium, England and the Netherlands, including German-occupied Arnhem during the Second World War, where she studied ballet with Sonia Gaskell in Amsterdam before moving to London in 1948 to continue ballet training with Marie Rambert and perform as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions. After appearing in several British films and starring in the 1951 Broadway play Gigi, Hepburn played the Academy Award-winning lead role in Roman Holiday (1953). Later performing in successful films like Sabrina (1954), The Nun's Story (1959), Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), Charade (1963), My Fair Lady (1964) and Wait Until Dark (1967), Hepburn received Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations and accrued a Tony Award for her theatrical performance in the 1954 Broadway play ...

William Wyler Interview with daughter Catherine Wyler
Listen to the interview on www.iconsradio.com Hosted by John Mulholland, Meir Ribalow & Stephen Bogart The son of a prosperous Swiss dry goods merchant, William Wyler was studying the violin in Paris when he met Universal Pictures executive Carl Laemmle, a distant cousin of his mother, in 1922. Another version of this fateful meeting claims that Wyler made the acquaintance of one of Laemmle's many European relatives; whatever the case, the 20-year-old Wyler was invited to America to work in Universal's publicity department, writing publicity for the studio's foreign releases. He worked his way up to assistant director at Universal, finally graduating to director for the two-reel Western Crook Buster (1925). This was followed by several feature-length sagebrushers, then by his first non-Western effort, Has Anybody Here Seen Kelly? (1927). Universal's slapdash production methods and abbreviated schedules convinced Wyler that if he ever graduated to A-pictures, he would take his own sweet time making them. As a result, Wyler would earn a reputation as one of the slowest and most meticulous directors in the business, shooting extensive retakes on even the simplest scenes. Wyler's painstaking methods and his autocratic on-set behavior exasperated and infuriated many, but he was the favorite director of the equally demanding producer Sam Goldwyn. The long Goldwyn/Wyler association began with the 1936 film These Three, a heavily rewritten adaptation of Lillian Hellman's ...
