Using CSS To Create a Fixed, Content-Overlapping Footer
In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to create a footer that features an image that is (1) always positioned on the bottom of the screen and (2) that slightly covers some of the content area to create a nice design overlay.
Aside from the image creation in Photoshop, I only use CSS and HTML to create this page.
This tutorial continues where the previous left off, with some minor formatting modifications. To see the previous tutorial, visit:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wbp_FBdUgj8
In the video, I mention that I will touch on why I use Portable Network Graphics (PNGs), but I forgot to mention it. Basically, the upsides to this image format are a relatively small file size and support for transparency.
Please note that this tutorial features one of several methods available to create a fixed, overlapping footer. You will have to tailor your footer width, height, and position for your own needs.

A new blind authentication method based on the secret sharing technique with a data repair capability for grayscale document images via the use of the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) image is proposed. An authentication signal is generated for each block of a grayscale document image, which, together with the binarized block content, is transformed into several shares using the Shamir secret sharing scheme. The involved parameters are carefully chosen so that as many shares as possible are generated and embedded into an alpha channel plane. The alpha channel plane is then combined with the original grayscale image to form a PNG image. During the embedding process, the computed share values are mapped into a range of alpha channel values near their maximum value of 255 to yield a transparent stego-image with a disguise effect. In the process of image authentication, an image block is marked as tampered if the authentication signal computed from the current block content does not match that extracted from the shares embedded in the alpha channel plane. Data repairing is then applied to each tampered block by a reverse Shamir scheme after collecting two shares from unmarked blocks. Measures for protecting the security of the data hidden in the alpha channel are also proposed. Good experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed method for real applications.

How to Transfer from Power Point to Windows Movie Maker and Upload to You Tube
Instructions how to transfer Power Point Slides to Windows Movie Maker onto You Tube
Open up Power Point on a blank presentation on new slide.
Create your text or design wanted, add as many slides as wanted.
Save As PNG extension. Which is Portable Network Graphics Format.
Click "yes" to every "save" that comes up.
Then you should see a folder on your desktop if that's where you saved it to.
The Power point page will also still be open giving you option to save again under presentation, you can save this if want for later. So you have two files now.
One in a folder which is the PNG file to be used for Windows Movie Maker and one not in a folder which is saved under presentation for you to change later if keep for spare.
Open the folder now and you should see your slides in there, the PNG slides.
Now open up Windows Movie Maker.
Drag your slides into Windows Movie Maker (WMM).
If you already know how to use this programe then it will be much easier.
If not you see where you dragged them to at top stating Collections on the blank white screen part.
Now drag those down to the where it says, Drag media to time line to begin making the movie.
Once all are on the time line you can then drag your cursor to the front of first slide.
On the right where there is a small screen it has play and stop etc, you can play or stop this to watch it which will show how it will look on screen.
Once you are happy with result "Save as" Movie File.
Now go on to You Tube and upload the Movie and hopefully it should work.
Good Luck.

Graphics Interchange Format
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF; or ) is a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability. The format supports up to 8 bits per pixel thus allowing a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors. The colors are chosen from the 24-bit RGB color space. It also supports animations and allows a separate palette of 256 colors for each frame. The color limitation makes the GIF format unsuitable for reproducing color photographs and other images with continuous color, but it is well-suited for simpler images such as graphics or logos with solid areas of color.
GIF images are compressed using the Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) lossless data compression technique to reduce the file size without degrading the visual quality. This compression technique was patented in 1985. Controversy over the licensing agreement between the patent holder, Unisys, and CompuServe in 1994 spurred the development of the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) standard. All the relevant patents have now expired.

Transcript: Change Default Screen Capture from PNG to JPG on Mac OSX
Randy McKown here and I'm going to show you how to change the default format of your screen captures on Mac OS X. Before we get started I'm going to hold down Command+Shift+3 and take a screen capture so we can look at whats going on.
If I right click the image and select get info we can see that by default its set to PNG, which stands for Portable Network Graphics. Whats really important is this right here. My screen capture is 1.7 MB which is way too big for most cases. We could always cut this file size down is by converting to a JPG in Photoshop later but it would be nice if it was already done for us. Now, the only way to change this default setting is by using Terminal.
Alright, start up Launchpad. Go into your Utilities folder and start up Terminal. Just type in what I show you & I'll also included it in the text below so you can simply copy paste it into your Terminal.
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg
Now, the last part jpg is obviously saying that we want the default to be a JPEG. You can actually change this to any image format you want. You can change it to a BMP, TIF, PDF, whatever. Once you have that hit enter and type:
killall SystemUIServer
Make sure to capitalize it just as I have here. Once you have that hit enter. Ok Lets take another screencpature and see how the info has changed. Command+Shift+3 .. Right click .. get info ..
We can see that our default is now set to JPeg and check this out. We went from 1.7 MB to only 370 KB, which is a major reduction. Plus, we don't have to bother changing this to a JPeg because its already been done for us.

DAVID BERIAIN Director
David Beriain is a Spanish war correspondent that has covered conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan, Congo, Colombia and Kashmir, among others. He is currently in charge of coordinating the fea- ture section at Medina Media, a production com- pany based out of Spain.
Beriain is one of the few reporters in the world that has managed to infiltrate the FARC guerrilla camps in Colombia. His work there made him a finalist for the Bayeux-Calvados, the most pres- tigious international award for war correspon- dents. He has interviewed the Taliban command- ers who killed Spanish soldiers, met with the twelve-year-old hitmen that Colombian druglords exploit as child soldiers, and even accompanied the American Army on some of their most danger- ous military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. His latest TV documentary took him to Eastern Congo, where he covered the conflict between the Congolese Army and the rebels who fight, kill and rape in order to gain the control of the Coltan and Cassiterite mines.
During his time at Sea Bites, Beriain was in charge of producing the story and coordinating all the members in the team. He was the one who convinced everyone to get on board and as a true leader, he turned a group of people who did not know each other into a real team.

Life is Good - Episode Two with Ruth Dela Rama - Dizon
What Makes A Smart Phone A Genius Phone?
So, what’s the difference between just being smart to being a genius?
There's an immense variance between being really bright and being intellectually gifted. While geniuses do tend to be extraordinarily intelligent, they also use imagination and creativity to conceive, realize or envisage something unique. They blaze new trails instead of just trudging down the beaten path. For the genius, the ability to imagine new possibilities is as important as intelligence.
Great geniuses in world history are central to our advancements in science, technology and understanding. Without geniuses from Archimedes to Stephen Hawking, our understanding of mathematics, literature and music would be completely different. Concepts that we now take for granted, like gravity, planetary orbits and black holes, might still be undiscovered.
In the same way, the LG Optimus cell phone is a concept – a genius prototype of the way mobile phones will be built and used in the near future.
On The Cellular Level
The telephone is a good way to talk to people without having to offer them a drink. (Fran Lebowitz)
It’s a fact that form and function are significant factors when buying a cell phone but performance is the most decisive dynamic to be considered. Never forget that a cell phone is only as good as the calls it makes. Thus, even if your handset has the best attributes but can’t make or take a single decent quality call, it’s virtually useless. Even the snatchers in Quiapo and Arranque won’t spend a New York minute trying to filch your phone.
While it’s true that the strength of a carrier's network is critical to making good calls, the strength of the phone's antenna and receiver play a big part in performance as well. The fact is, you are buying a cell phone so it follows that at its very core, your handset should serve its one true purpose – call the guy at the other receiving end.
So, for form, function and performance, who you gonna call?
No -- not The GBs – call the Optimus, and you’ll discover that it doesn’t scrimp on the most basic function of any cell phone.
If you know the name and if you know the number, you can spend all your unli time talking until your jaw hurts because the LG Optimus cell phone’s 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery can last for up to 400 hours of stand-by or up to 7 hours and 50 minutes of talk time. You don’t even have to lift a finger to do it – with built-in voice dialing, your command is the phone’s wish.
When the time comes when every one of your friends and family members eventually catch up with you in the 3G trend, you’ll be ready to make true video calls with the phone’s 1.3 MP secondary front-facing camera which you can use for high quality video chats.
Additionally, I like the text messaging service’s threaded view. I do most of my communication via SMS and having this feature in the Optimus lessens the confusion of piecing together an ongoing SMS conversation especially if you’re discussing various issues with several people.
Add a proximity sensor feature (so my phone knows if I’m nearby so it can rest and save energy while I’m away), an accelerometer and a gyroscope, and the LG Optimus becomes one handy BFF (best fone forever).
The Fast and The Nitrous
There's a way to do it better - find it.
Thomas A. Edison
The LG Optimus 2X uses NVIDIA’s Next Generation Tegra, the world’s first processor for the mobile web, specifically designed for the high-resolution needs of tablets.
According to the NVIDIA website, Tim Bajarin, President of Creative Strategies, Inc. said, “The new NVIDIA Tegra processor has a unique feature set critical for tablets -- fast web browsing with fully rendered pages, uncompromised graphics, snappy user interface and HD video -- all with the battery life we’ve only seen with cell phones.”
The key to the Tegra’s capabilities are eight independent processors, including the world’s first dual core CPU for mobile applications. These processors are used together or independently to optimize power usage at all times. With its ultra low-power design, Tegra delivers over 16 hours of HD video or 140 hours of music -- on a single charge.
The Next Generation Tegra is a leap in mobile computing performance for the following reasons:
The world’s first Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 chipset.
Eight independent processors that make short work of web browsing, HD video encode and decode and mobile 3D gaming.
10x faster than the processors used in smart phones today, and up to 4x the performance of the previous generation Tegra processor.
Advanced TSMC 40nm process with active power management.
The series emphasizes low power consumption and high performance for playing audio and video.
At a maximum CPU clock rate 1.2 GHz (dual-core), it's just .6 GHz short of the dual core PC I'm using now, and my computer plays Crysis, Call of Duty - M

Tutorial - How To: Add Logo/Watermark To Video With iMovie 9, (iLife '11).
In this clip I am going to add a simple text logo/watermark, (it could just as easily be a graphic), to iMovie 9.0.2 quickly and painlessly. And WITHOUT getting the blacked-out box over your logo.
The steps are fairly simple:
1. Load your iMovie project
2. Create an alpha, (transparent), Portable Network Graphics image in your favorite image editing software with the same dimensions as your project, (mine was 1280x720).
3. Copy/Paste your logo, or create your graphic.
4. Save file as png.
5. Drag this image on to your clip and adjust image runtime to your preference.
6. Edit Crop/Fit/Ken Burns and finalize project.
Hope this was helpful
