The Peace Formula by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
The great mistake of modern civilization is to encroach upon others' property as though it were one's own and thereby create an unnecessary disturbance of the laws of nature. These laws are very strong. No living entity can violate them. Only one who is Krsna conscious can easily overcome the stringent laws of nature and thus become happy and peaceful in the world.
As a state is protected by the department of law and order, so the state of the universe, of which this earth is only an insignificant fragment, is protected by the laws of nature. This material nature is one of the different potencies of God, who is the ultimate proprietor of everything that be. This earth is, therefore, the property of God, but we, the living entities, especially the so-called civilized human beings, are claiming God's property as our own under both an individual and collective false conception. If you want peace, you have to remove this false conception from your mind and from the world. This false claim of proprietorship by the human race on earth is partly or wholly the cause of all disturbances of peace on earth.
Foolish so-called civilized men are claiming proprietary rights on the property of God because they have now become godless. You cannot be happy and peaceful in a godless society. In the Bhagavad-gita Lord Krsna says that He is the factual enjoyer of all activities of the living entities, that He is the Supreme Lord of all universes, and that He is the well-wishing friend of all beings. When the people of the world know this as the formula for peace, it is then and there that peace will prevail.
Therefore, if you want peace at all, you will have to change your consciousness into Krsna consciousness, both individually and collectively, by the simple process of chanting the holy name of God. This is the standard and recognized process for achieving peace in the world. We therefore recommend that everyone become Krsna conscious by chanting Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.
This is practical, simple, and sublime. Five hundred years ago this formula was introduced in India by Lord Sri Caitanya, and now it is available throughout the world. Take to this simple process of chanting as above mentioned, realize your factual position by reading the Bhagavad-gita As It Is, and reestablish your lost relationship with Krsna, God. Peace and prosperity will be the immediate worldwide result.

Dateline Egypt and North Africa: Updates from the Field
As Secretary Kerry makes his inaugural Middle East trip, states across North Africa face rising tensions among the forces for democracy, stability, and Islamic political ascendancy. In Egypt and Tunisia, revolutions have given way to uncertainty and violence, while Morocco's model of stable reform -- a monarch with an Islamist prime minister -- tends to obscure other elements lurking just beneath the surface.
To assess these changes and their consequences for the region and the United States, three Washington Institute fellows recently conducted intensive research trips to each of these countries, where they spoke frankly with a wide range of government officials, opposition leaders, security officers, and human rights activists, both secularist and fundamentalist. The Institute cordially invites you to a Policy Forum luncheon to discuss their findings.
David Pollock, focusing on Morocco, is the Institute's Kaufman fellow.
Eric Trager, focusing on Egypt, is the Institute's Next Generation fellow.
Aaron Y. Zelin, focusing on Tunisia, is the Institute's Richard Borow fellow.

WW2: Bombers over North Africa (1942)
This is a rare look at early war US Air Operations in North Africa.
B-25 and B-17 bombers of the 321st and 97th Bomb Group help cut off Rommel's retreat from Tunisia. Part of the "North West African Strategic Air Force," these groups were initially tasked with preventing men and material from reaching the Afrika Korps, and later with preventing them from escaping.
The missions for the day of this film were to strike from bases in Algeria at the junction at Manouba, near Tunis, and the air field at Sidi Ahmed, near Bizerte, where a large number of extremely valuable JU 52 transports were based, a key element in German evacuation plans.

The Islamists vs The West - Mali and The New African Battleground
The dramatic and deadly 4-day siege at the In Amenas gas plant in Algeria just a few weeks ago came as a shock to many. 37 foreigners (including 6 Britons and a British resident) died.
The incident's shone a light on a wider crisis -- that of a new African battleground. And the current and complex fight in Mali between Tuareg rebels, who want a separate state, Islamic militants (allied to al-Qaeda) and Malians - is hitting the headlines on a daily basis.
Prime Minister David Cameron described the threat in North Africa as 'a global one...'. One which he said "will require a global response. It will require a response that is about years, even decades, rather than months."
Written, produced and presented by Marverine Cole. Production manager and news researcher: Alfred Joyner. Filmed by Sho Murakoshi, Alfred Joyner and Torfinnur Jákupsson. Edit, sound design and grading by Torfinnur Jákupsson.

Middle East and North Africa on Fire-It's NOT Because of an Anti-Muslim Movie
http://usawatchdog.com/
The Obama Administration says the recent violence in North Africa and the Middle East is all because of some anti-Muslim movie, but many think it is way more about our foreign policy. The Obama Administration finally admitted the U.S. Libyan Embassy attack was the pre-planned assault by al-Qaeda. Everyone is upset by Romney's 47% comment, but nobody cares about the $40 billion a month banker bailout by the Fed. Neither party will say a word to disparage that fraud. Join Greg Hunter of USAWatchdog.com as he gives his analysis to these stories and more in the Weekly News Wrap-Up.
