Purchasing power parity (PPP)
Purchasing power parity (PPP) is an economic theory and a technique used to determine the relative value of currencies, estimating the amount of adjustment needed on the exchange rate between countries in order for the exchange to be equivalent to (or on par with) each currency's purchasing power. It asks how much money would be needed to purchase the same goods and services in two countries, and uses that to calculate an implicit foreign exchange rate. Cambodia Tours 07's
Some people are under the impression that because the normal poverty line used internationally is often referred to as the dollar-a-day poverty line (implying it counts everyone living on less than a dollar a day as poor), a national poverty line of $0.45 (1826 riels) per day is unfair to Cambodians. This is not correct. The full description of the international poverty line is $1 per capita per day, 1990 PPP. The PPP stands for Purchasing Power Parity. That means, the $1 in the poverty line is the purchasing power of $1 in the United States in 1990. When adjusted for inflation and cost-of-living differences between countries, it comes out as 1382 riels per person per day in Cambodia in 2004. To put it another way, what you could buy (and just survive on) for $1 a day in the United Statesin 1990 defined as the poverty line you could buy (and just about survive on) for 1382 riels per day in Cambodia in 2004. The international dollar-a-day poverty line is actually much lower than Cambodia's national poverty line. People doing every things to survive and bring foods to the table and feed their family. Richest & Poorest Countries of ASIA By GDP (PPP)
Richest & Poorest Countries of ASIA:GDP (PPP) : CIA Worldfactbook Music : Piano Blues - Luciano Alves Quartzo "Little red dot" (or "Little Red Dot") is an epithet for the nation of Singapore. It describes the manner in which the main and subsidiary islands comprising the Republic, with a total land area of no more than 704 km2 (270 sq mi), are marked on many world maps. Originally, it was apparently used to refer to Singapore in a disparaging manner by former Indonesian President BJ Habibie (though this was denied by him), but has come to be used by both Singaporean politicians and ordinary citizens with pride and a sense of the nation's success despite its physical limitations. There is no doubt that the "Little red dot" is not so small afterall: In 2012, three Asian cities made the top ten of the EIU/Citi global competitiveness study. Singapore ranked a highly impressive 3rd, Hong Kong matched Paris to finish 4th, and Tokyo placed ahead of Zurich to rate 6th. In the same month, Seoul reached a new high of 8th in the Global Cities Index. These four are now established top dozen cities in the world, and have ambitions to match. Hong Kong and Singapore have surpassed Paris and Tokyo as financial centres with global reach, and are now more central to circuits of exchange between the largest multi-national producer services firms. The pair have placed a clear 3rd and 4th in the Global Financial Centres Index in all 11 editions since 2007. Singapore reached a highly ...

Paul Craig Roberts: "The US is driving the world to a nuclear war"
Obama has made it clear that China is a threat to the US in more ways than one. The countries are two of the world's largest economies, but some economists believe China's economy will surpass the US' economy in five years. Critics believe that is the motive behind President Obama's announcement to station 2500 Marines in Australia. China considers the shift of power as an attempt to escalate military tension in the Asia-Pacific. Paul Craig Roberts, former Reagan Administration official and columnist, joins us to give us insight on whats going on between the US and China. Follow Liz on Twitter at twitter.com

WORLD TRAVEL - INCREDIBLE INDIA
India ( /ˈɪndiə/), officially the Republic of India (Hindi: भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya; see also official names of India), is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country with over 1.18 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world.[16][17] Mainland India is bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east; and it is bordered by Pakistan to the west;[note] Bhutan, the People's Republic of China and Nepal to the north; and Bangladesh and Burma to the east. In the Indian Ocean, mainland India and the Lakshadweep Islands are in the vicinity of Sri Lanka and the Maldives, while India's Andaman and Nicobar Islands share maritime border with Thailand and the Indonesian island of Sumatra in the Andaman Sea.[18] India has a coastline of 7517 kilometres (4700 mi).[19] Home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history.[20] Four of the world's major religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism—originated here, while Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's diverse culture. Gradually annexed by the British East India Company from the early eighteenth century and colonised by the United Kingdom from the mid ...

Inspiring Indonesia - Visit Indonesia
Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian: Republik Indonesia), is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Indonesia comprises 17,508 islands and thirty three provinces. With over 238 million people, it is the world's fourth most populous country, and has the world's largest population of Muslims. Indonesia is a republic, with an elected legislature and president. The nation's capital city is Jakarta. The country shares land borders with Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and Malaysia. Other neighboring countries include Singapore, Philippines, Australia, and the Indian territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Indonesia is a founding member of ASEAN and a member of the G-20 major economies. The Indonesian economy is the world's eighteenth largest economy by nominal GDP and fifteenth largest by purchasing power parity.
The Indonesian archipelago has been an important trade region since at least the 7th century, when Srivijaya and then later Majapahit traded with China and India. Local rulers gradually absorbed foreign cultural, religious and political models from the early centuries CE, and Hindu and Buddhist kingdoms flourished. Indonesian history has been influenced by foreign powers drawn to its natural resources. Muslim traders brought Islam, and European powers brought Christianity and fought one another to monopolize trade in the Spice Islands of Maluku during the Age of Discovery. Following three and a half centuries of Dutch colonialism, Indonesia secured its independence after World War II. Indonesia's history has since been turbulent, with challenges posed by natural disasters, corruption, separatism, a democratization process, and periods of rapid economic change.
Across its many islands, Indonesia consists of distinct ethnic, linguistic, and religious groups. The Javanese are the largest—and the politically dominant—ethnic group. Indonesia has developed a shared identity defined by a national language, ethnic diversity, religious pluralism within a majority Muslim population, and a history of colonialism including rebellion against it. Indonesia's national motto, "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" ("Unity in Diversity" literally, "many, yet one"), articulates the diversity that shapes the country. Despite its large population and densely populated regions, Indonesia has vast areas of wilderness that support the world's second highest level of biodiversity. The country is richly endowed with natural resources, yet poverty remains widespread in contemporary Indonesia.

Speech and the Following Discussion at the Munich Conference on Security Policy.Part 2 February 10, 2007 Munich Выступление и дискуссия на Мюнхенской конференции по вопросам политики безопасности.Part 2 10 февраля 2007 года Мюнхен Along with this, what is happening in todays world and we just started to discuss this is a tentative to introduce precisely this concept into international affairs, the concept of a unipolar world. And with which results? Unilateral and frequently illegitimate actions have not resolved any problems. Moreover, they have caused new human tragedies and created new centres of tension. Judge for yourselves: wars as well as local and regional conflicts have not diminished. Mr Teltschik mentioned this very gently. And no less people perish in these conflicts even more are dying than before. Significantly more, significantly more! Today we are witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force military force in international relations, force that is plunging the world into an abyss of permanent conflicts. As a result we do not have sufficient strength to find a comprehensive solution to any one of these conflicts. Finding a political settlement also becomes impossible. We are seeing a greater and greater disdain for the basic principles of international law. And independent legal norms are, as a matter of fact, coming increasingly closer to one states legal system. One state and, of course, first and foremost the United States, has overstepped its ...

Andain - Much To Much (Zetandel Chill Mix)
New album available to pre-order on iTunes now: smarturl.it Release date: September 24th on Black Hole Recordings. For such a concise discography, the history of one of EDM's greatest cult duos has been writ plenty large. 'Summer Calling'. 'Beautiful Things'. Two tracks, two successive years, two conclusive anthems and ones that masterminded the rocking of countless club floors. That was followed by a recorded-but-never-released long-player, band hiatus, a parting of ways and finally, in 2011, the reunion. All of which has led to this point: the release of Andain's first official album... www.facebook.com twitter.com
