Beautiful Sea Confluence-Bay of Bengal & Indian Ocean, Dhanuskodi, Rameshwaram, India [HD]
Trip Report: vivekananddisciple.blogspot.in Video shows confluence of two seas-Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean in the Gulf of Mannar near Dhanuskodi, Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu, India. Two seas with extreme opposite characteristics- Bay of Bengal(Female) is aggressive while Indian Ocean(Male) is silent like a river. The beach at the confluence is long and wide, pristine, devoid of crowd and really breathtaking, still virgin to non religious travelers. Only noise are from the crashing waves of Bay of Bengal, one can spend hours and hours here. Dhanushkodi is 18kms from Rameshwaram town. A full fledged town used to exist here, was completely destroyed in 1964 cyclone, since then its been declared as Ghost Town. A very serene, mystic, religious, pristine and beautiful place. A must visit. 1964 Cyclone: On that night (December 22) at 23.55 hours while entering Dhanushkodi railway station, the train No.653, Pamban-Dhanushkodi Passenger, a daily regular service which left Pamban with 110 passengers and 5 railway staff, was only few hundred yards before Dhanushkodi Railway station when it was hit by a massive tidal wave. The whole train was washed away killing all 115 on board. All together over 1800 people died in the cyclonic storm. All dwelling houses and other structures in Dhanushkodi were marooned in the storm . The high tidal waves moved deep onto this island and ruined the entire town. In terms of wind velocity which touched 150 knots (277km per hour) at Vavunia in Northern ...

DN! Island in Bay of Bengal Disappears Under Rising Sea
Island in Bay of Bengal Disappears Under Rising Sea A tiny island in the Bay of Bengal has disappeared underneath rising sea levels. The uninhabited island had been the source of dispute between India and Bangladesh for nearly three decades. Sugata Hazra, an oceanographer at the School of Oceanographic Studies in Calcutta, said, What these two countries could not achieve from years of talking, has been resolved by global warming.

OLIVE RIDLEY SEA TURTLES DIE IN BAY OF BENGAL INDIA
"Mass Death of Olive Ridleys & Leather Back Turtles at Bay Of Bengal,India" petition : www.thepetitionsite.com NATURE DRIVE NDTI: Jan 2, 2013: Once again Olive Ridley Turtles found dead in thousands. On 10th December 2012 NDTI volunteers reported from Barunei sea beach (Near Gahirmatha), Paradip sea beach , Astaranga sea beach, Chandrabhaga sea beach and Satapada (Chilika lake) of Odisha coastal belt (Bay of Bengal) a new wave of dead Olive Ridley Turtles. * Thousands of Olive Ridley turtle corpses were found floating in areas around Paradip and stretches from Gahirmatha to Astaranga Sea beach. We all know this Coastal Belt of Odisha, like Gahirmatha ,Astaranga Sea beach and the Rushikulya river mouth for mass nesting of the Olive Ridley Turtles and many other Turtle species from prehistorically times feeding on Jelly fish. They are part of the Oceanic flora and fauna that builds and preserves our fish stock. We have reason to suspect unnatural death of Olive Ridley turtles by external causes. We deeply regret the man made environmental degradation of this place by increasing of traffic of trawlers and other ships, poor water quality and the pollution by some industries that mixes directly with Marine water without any proper treatment of water as required by Indian Environmental Norms. We presume that these developments are the main cause for the unusual deaths before nesting can take place. NDTI demands action to protect the victims and punish the culprits who are ...

SILENCE OF DEATH directed by Mani Nasry (16MM FILM) 1ST YEAR RYERSON UNIVERSITY STUDENT FILM
IMDB PAGE
www.imdb.me/maninasry
This Scene expresses- FEAR- noun: an emotion experienced in anticipation of some specific pain or danger (usually accompanied by a desire to flee or fight). noun: a feeling of anxiety and agitation caused by the presence or nearness of danger, evil, pain, etc.; timidity; dread; terror; fright; apprehension. Terrify not your soul with vain imaginary fears. By realizing that you are the one feeding the fire, you can start to take control of your fears. Panic is a vicious cycle that can be broken. When you start to have irrational fears you need to take action quick. Eleanor Roosevelt once said: "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing, which you think you cannot do." We must stop running away from things that frighten us, face our fears head on, and do the thing we fear the most. Most of the time we'll find out that the "thing" was not that scary after all. Our imaginations had behaved like a super fertilizer and grown a grotesque monstrosity in our minds. Remember, our imaginations are incredibly powerful. They can work against us, creating horrible images that leave us paralyzed with fear and they can also work for us, building a world where everything we do is an adventure, a miracle. And the most amazing thing is that we hold the power to control our minds - we allow fear to dominate our lives or we choose to dominate fear. Those are our only two choices.

In March 2012 we planned to make aerial shots for a ZDF documentary of the lost Kingdom of Arakan in todays Myanmar near the Bay of Bengal. Mrauk-U, a fine last royal capital of Rakhine has scenic beauty and historical remains which are inextricable and remarkable. Innumerable pagodas belonging to all ages can be found throughout the city. It is no wonder that Mrauk-U is popularly known as the 'Land of Pagodas' and Europeans remarked Mrauk-U as 'The Golden City'.
To realize the aerial images we used a so called Mikrokopter, a tiny multirotor flying machine which is controlled by a wireless remote control. The camera is also controlled by wireless transmission of the videosignal to a high-resolution video goggles which gives the pilot realtime control about the recorded image.
All the scenes has been NOT stabilized in post production, NOT slowed down, only some color correction was made.
To realize a long distance flight of 13 minutes, a high capacity lithium polymer battery from http://www.stefansliposhop.de/liposhop/ was used.
The aerial material will be used in a TV-documentary about the "Lost Kingdom of Arakan".
Download the full HD version. The original less compressed ProRes version shows even more details.
See more information about us at: www.rtv-studio.de
More Infos about the Mikrokopter at: https://www.mikrocontroller.com/ and www.coptersale.de

Max Turner & the Migrations feat. Snuggles the Bunny - Bay of Bengal Blues (Midatlantic Rmx)
The first single from the forthcoming album by 'Max Turner & the Migrations' is named "Deep beneath the soil" and features remix contributions by Cristian Vogel and Midatlantic. Originally written for Guitar and Voice this arrangement, however, incorporates Double-bass, a String-section, classical Guitar, Drums and Percussion recorded live (with overdubs) on vintage gear at a Chennai film studio called Kalasa. The Migrations are a loose cluster of musicians open to experimentation, guest performances and change of environment. Founded by Turner and drummer Eugine Yuvaraj. At present in the process of producing in various locations in South India the album release and a European tour are expected later in 2012. The remixes explore less obvious interpretations of the theme with Vogel offering a profound percussive version while mystery-man Midatlantic supplies a gritty break-beat version carved out of the original drum beat that sees a guest perfomance by Snuggles the bunny, of Puppetmastaz. www.migratory.in

India test fires medium range K-5 ballistic missile from underwater platform
India on Sunday made a major stride towards completing its nuclear triad capability by successfully test firing a nuclear-capable ballistic missile from an underwater platform in Bay of Bengal. Completion of the nuclear triad will give India the ability to fire nuclear-tipped missiles from land, air and sea. This is the first missile in the underwater category to have been fully developed by India and can be launched from a submarine. For more info log on to: www.youtube.com/abpnewsTV
