Asia Minor - Kokomo - 1961
Wild.As I Said Before The Instrumentals From The 50's And 60's Are The 8th Wonder Of The World.Everyone Has Heard Them But The Titles Are Hard To Track Down. This Asia Minor Is Just Wild And Crazy.1961 Was A Great Year For Music.61 Was Still Vintage 50's.It Was Like The 3rd Year Of 1959.My Dad Told Me You Couldn't Tell The Difference From 1961 To 1956.The Fashion And Such Was Practically The Same. That 50's Era Really Didn't Start Changing Until 1967 When The Summer Of Love Finally Signaled It Was Time To Move Away From Crew-Cuts And Bobby-Sox.Anyway Wild Record. This Melody Always Freaked Me Out.These Instrumentals Just Symbolize Life And It's Moments No Words Said.Just An Amazing Piece Of Music.People Say 1961 You Go Way Back.1961 Was Great.Without The People From 1961 We Would Not Even Be Here.Every Year Should Always Be Treasured And Should Never Be Looked At With Disdain.Long Live-Asia Minor- Thanks Jimmy

6. Dreadful Memories (31:27-34:12)
"Nightwind"
Driven by the nightwind
Distant cold air moving
Rising dust by the way
Forms whirling fascinating shapes
Night after night
Night after night
Peering eyes of silence
Searching a flash of light
Deep into that darkness
Forms whirling fascinating shapes
Night after night
Night after night
"Northern Lights"
Northern lights
Tears shedded in the evening twilight
A light wave
Fallen from the darkness of the night
Bright eyes
Lost in the agony of mankind
Raindrops in the desert
Where you are alone to fight
Your birth and presence
Are like their rising
Your death and absence
Are like their setting
Northern lights
Tears shedded in the evening twilight
A flock of birds
Flying softly like diamonds in the sky
Strange sounds
Echoing through the corridors of time
Secret of heaven
Through the mist deep in the dark
They are burning
In the poet's broken heart
Knowledge is in silence
Are lying beyond the night
"Boundless"
Reach the endless fire
Which is the light of my soul
Reach the boundless depth
Of a heart wasted in a grave
Think about the past
Which gives you sorrow
And know that
There is no universe
Without harmony
And no illusion
Without dreaming
Through your eyes I see a light
Which shows me the way into your paradise...
"Dedicace"
Came down from heaven
Charm indefinite and real
At times delicate and abstract
Suffers and make suffer
Silent beauty soft as light
Charming lady of all nights
Without a doubt a light
An invitation to bliss
Glistening of all grace of nature
Condensed in only one
Sometimes a word
Lost in its dream
Elsewhere inaccessible
Divine mystery
Beauty of suffering
Pain of solitude
Deep look came from far
Abyss of passion
Silent beauty soft as light
Charming lady of all nights
"Lost In A Dream Yell"
Rain was running
Harder against the road
Beams of the carlights
Were dancing green and red
Empty faces
Empty busy minds
Lost in a dream yell
Lost in a nightmare
Streets narrow and long
Dashed through the fog of my brain
I saw housed homes
With shattered loves and dreams
Tears rose freshly in his eyes
Everlasting fears began to rise
Made no sound heard the falling rain
Made no sound heard the falling rain
Fresh coolness of rain washed air
Came through the night
I could hear the rain
Dripping off the roofs
And the water still was rushing down the gutters
From the distance one more flash of lightning
Made no sound heard the falling rain
Made no sound heard the falling rain
"Dreadful Memories"
(instrumental)

Asia Minor - Hellenism of the East
For thousands of years Asia Minor was the eastern sphere of the Historical Greek World. This video is part of a series created to highlight the Greek civilisation of Asia Minor and expose the forces and events that brought about its demise. This video is also a reminder to the enemies of Hellenism that the memory of Greek civilisation in Asia Minor will never die. Please also see the two other parts of this series titled "Magna Graecia - Hellenism of the West" and "Constantinople - Greek Orthodox Spiritual Capital".

Here Dave explores underground cities that stretched under vast areas. Inhabited first by the ancient Hittites, they were later occupied by early Christians who feared persecution by Romans and later by Muslims.
Dave is then off to Istanbul, once called Constantinople and once called Byzantium. Dave explores the Hagia Sophia (meaning "Holy wisdom"). Learn about Constantine-the Roman Emperor who stopped the persecution of Christians and legalized open religious expression though the Edict of Milan. Dave examines the Nicene Creed. Lastly
The final episode is a retrospective "best of" tour through the ancient roots of Western Civilization, and we end our tour in Washington DC where we start connecting some of the dots between ancient history and the "American experiment" in Western Civilization.

Kokomo, his piano and Orchestra - Asia Minor (London Records) Garrard 4HF
A lot of people think that Asia Minor is from 1961.
That's because Felsted Records in New York City released the single in 1961:-)
But the Label London American Recordings released this single in 1960.
And Felsted was a label that British Decca (London Records in the U.S.) started in the late 50's.
Can you still follow me...hahaha...i'm sorry but it's a strange story.
Asia Minor was a big hit on Felsted in 1961,but not in 1960 on the famous London label.
It was also released by Future Records in 1961:-)
Asia Minor from Jimmy Wisner (aka Kokomo) was used for a long time by Joost the Spinner (in dutch:first his name was Joost de Draayer and after a few years it was Joost Den Draaijer.(LOL) So spinner means Draaier:-)
Joost the Spinner worked for Radio Veronica,Radio Northsea and Hilversum 3 (The Netherlands)
My goodness,what a story.....
Ok....enough about Kokomo and Joost the Spinner......
Take a look to the original London American Recordings 45 rpm single of Asia Minor!(London 45-HLU 9305 ©1960)
listen and enjoy!
