Latin and Its Indo-European Language Family
Latin is dead? No way! Latin is just the ancient form of Spanish, French, and Italian. And what's more, Latin wasn't what it once was, since it is also derived from another more ancient (and lost) language. But we can trace the history of Latin and its related languages like a family genealogy. NB, not all languages are represented here (eg, Romanian, itself a Latin tongue) only because of space limitations in the video.

Indo-European Dispersals and the Eurasian Steppe with JP Mallory
J. .P Mallory speaks on Indo-European Dispersals and the Eurasian Steppe at the Silk Road Symposium held at the Penn Museum held in March 2011. Contacts between Europe and China that bridged the Eurasian steppelands are part of a larger story of the dispersal of the Indo-European languages that were carried to Ireland (Celtic) in the west and the western frontiers of China (Tokharian, Iranian) in the east. Reviewing some of the problems of these expansions 15 years ago, the author suggested that it was convenient to discuss the expansions in terms of several fault lines -- the Dnieper, the Ural and Central Asia. The Dnieper is critical for resolving issues concerning the different models of Indo-European origins and more recent research forces us to reconsider the nature of the Dnieper as a cultural border. Recent research has also suggested that we need to reconsider the eastern periphery of the Indo-European world and how it relates to its western neighbors. JP Mallory is Professor of Prehistoric Archaeology at Queen's University, Belfast, Northern Ireland. More at www.penn.museum

The story of India - amazing BBC documentary series part (4 of 7)
The Story of India is a BBC TV documentary series, written and presented by historian Michael Wood, about the 10000-year history of the Indian subcontinent in six episodes. It was originally aired on the BBC in six episodes in August and September 2007 as part of the BBC season "India and Pakistan 07", which marked the 60 years independence of India and Pakistan. In the United States, PBS broadcast the series on three Mondays, January 5, 12 and 19, 2009 from 9 to 11 PM. An accompanying text was published by BBC Books. As in most of his documentaries, Wood explains historical events by travelling to the places where they took place, examining archeological and historical evidence at first hand and interviewing historians and archaeologists, as well as chatting with local people.

Looks like all actual European languages are the evolution of a common language that came into Europe 8 thousand years ago, called the Indo-European language. But there is one language in Europe, which does not belong to that common language called Indo-European language, and looks like the evolution of some language that was spoken in Europe 20 thousand years ago: The name of this oldest spoken European language is Euskera. Indo-Europeans have their roots in Africa. Proto Indo-European Shamanism
www.Sun-Wheel-Magick.com The origin of the Indo-European language and religion is far older than any one ethnicity. The Paleolithic Continuity Paradigm (google it) is disproving the old racially centered theories concerning the Indo-European cultures and languages. The word "Awo" is the word for "grandparent" in both the Indo-European language and in the West African language of the Yoruba people. That means that our language, culture and religion is far, far older than anyone has ever imagined. We really are one big extended family. Awo indeed...

Window to the World (CIID/Toyota)
Imagine when a journey from A to B is no longer routine as your car in the near-future encourages a sense of play, exploration and learning. This is the image engineers and designers from Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) Consultancy had of Toyota’s “Window to the World” vehicle concept.
The concept re-defines the relationship between passengers in a vehicle and the world around it by transforming the vehicle’s windows into an interactive interface. Using augmented reality, what used to be a pane of glass, begins to provide passengers with information about landmarks and other objects as they go past. The window can also be used as a canvas for drawings, which then interacts with the passing environment.
Engineers and designers from TME’s Kansei1 Design Division teamed up with the CIID consultancy to develop this concept in the context of near-future mobility. Instead of creating a concept simply with strong visual aesthetics, they aimed to create beautiful and intangible experiences to address specific needs and desires, to bring genuine value to the vehicle’s passengers.
Through the latest advances in augmented technology, TME Kansei Division and CIID developed five concepts for Toyota’s “Window to the World”:
* Drawing in Motion – using the car window as a canvas, passengers can draw, using their fingers, and see the images integrating with the outside world as the vehicle moves along.
*Zooming into captured moments in time – the window becomes a screen for passengers to zoom-in on outside objects to see it in a brand new perspective.
*Translating the world in a local language – passengers are exposed to new languages and cultures as they can select elements outside the window and receive a real-time translation in a local language.
*Augmented Distances – pinpoint landmarks in the distance and the window will augment the relative distance to the car on the window surface.
*Virtual Constellations – the car’s panoramic roof displays virtual constellations and information about them with the actual sky as a background.
Created in 2004, Kansei Design Division is now one of the key pillars of Toyota’s European Research and Development, with no counterpart at Toyota Motor Corporation. The team plays an active role in advanced models and vehicle development, supported by in-depth research with academics. The new methodologies within the design strategy created by Kansei will strongly influence and guide the mid- to long-term vision of the future model line-up for Toyota and Lexus.
The Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design is an international centre of excellence in design, technology and prototyping established in 2006.
Two working prototypes of Toyota’s “Window to the World” concept will be among the displays at the “Our Future Mobility Now” exhibition, organised by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA), from June 22 to 25 at the Autoworld Museum in Brussels, Belgium. You can also discover Toyota’s Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology and take a 3D tour of Toyota’s manufacturing facility in Burnaston, United Kingdom.
Please note: The video used to promote this vehicle concept is a simulation filmed in static, controlled environments. All health and safety requirements were met for the described conditions. Toyota will never promote unsafe behaviors, and will always encourage passengers to fasten their seatbelts.

DIVERSIDAD : THE EXPERIENCE video music
First single of the album Diversidad Out on June 21
Free download on www.diversidad-experience.com
Diversidad is the Spanish word for diversity. In case of the same-titled musical project initiated by the European Music Office (EMO) and supported by the European Commission, it’s not an empty phrase, but a way of living, thinking and – even more importantly – creating. To celebrate the diversity of urban music, styles and culture throughout Europe is the main aim of this ambitious artistic melting pot. In the spirit of cultural exchange, 14 different artists have come together in a recording studio in Brussels to combine their different vocal stylings over an uplifiting musical background provided by premier league beatmaker Spike Miller from France.
Spike Miller’s instrumental for Diversidad’s single, The eXperience, is a state-of-the-art production which can compete against any hit single on urban radio right now. The mixture of innovative drum programming, atmospheric synth chords and attacking strings is as multifaceted as the national and cultural backgrounds of the artists that are rapping and singing on top of it. In four minutes, the listener is carried from the smooth accentuation of Spanish or Swedish over the familiar sounds of English and French to the more harsh linguistics of German, Bosnian and Croatian. »Different rivers flow together«, sings Freetown-born, but Cologne-based artist Mariama in a catchy hook that resembles current R&B; club smashers while still sounding characteristic and recognizable.
The song is the perfect summer anthem for open-minded hip-hop lovers all over Europe. Even if you don’t understand every single word or line, you are immediately captured by the transnational vibe on this superb musical piece which stands out clearly from the boring pabulum that mainstream media and music television is trying to feed the masses. The vision of the project »Diversidad« is to actively overcome language barriers and cultural stereotypes and to be a stepping stone on a way to an exchange and unification of different urban music scenes in Europe. But despite all ideological superstructure, the main focus on this project is musical quality. Being the executive producers of the project, German hip-hop artist Curse and French beatmaker Spike Miller supervised the recording and made sure every single element fits in its predetermined place.
The eXperience is only the appetizer for a whole album that was recorded during two prolific weeks in the spring of 2010 that the artists spent in a recording studio in Brussels, Belgium. 20 different artists from 12 different countries speaking 8 different languages came together to create a masterpiece that is destined to be an integral part in the Diversidad movement. The music on the album sounds as diverse as the artists involved in its creation: There's straight-forward hip-hop songs, uptempo club tracks, a reggae tune, an urban pop ballad, a song with a kind of freestyle character and lots of different musical influences to be heard. All in all, the album showcases that urban music is a melting pot of musical styles and not a prefabricated box with rigid boundaries.
The Diversidad program will also include a festival tour, a graphic art exhibition, a movie and a digital community. All of these different channels will be opened from 2010 to 2012, but right now you just need to open your ears and hearts for the first audible life sign of the »Diversidad, The eXperience«.
Artists performing on the single:
Featuring : Curse (Germany), Marcus Price (Sweden), Orelsan (France), Rival (Belgium), Luche from Co' Sang (Italy), Frenkie (Bosnia), GMBisGeryMendes (Netherlands), Valete (Portugal), Pitcho (Belgium), Nach (Spain), Mariama (Germany), MC Melodee from La Melodia (Netherlands), Remi and Shot from Elemental (Croatia),
Scratch by Cut Killer (France) / Produced by Spike Miller (France)

Indo European Language has roots in paleolithic Africa
www.ThunderWizard.com http the Paleolithic Continuity Paradigm (google it) is disproving the previous theory about the origin of the Indo-European people, culture and language. According to the scientific evidence found by Archeology, linguistics and DNA evidence, the Indo-European language was not created in Europe. Instead it was created in Africa before the first modern humans migrated out of Africa into the northern Hemisphere. The indo-European word for ancestor (Awo) is identical to the modern West African word "Awo" found in the Yoruba Language. This means that at one time the ancestors of the Yoruba tribe and the European tribes were the same tribe that split into mutiple different directions and migrated into different parts of the world. At least 60000 years later the word for Ancestor/Grandparent is still used in parts of Europe and Africa. This had to have happened during the paleolithic era.
