Watch these videos to learn how some of these agents have been or can be used as bioterrorist weapons.

Richard Souther - Describing his recovery from Botulism to a solo career as a music composer
This interview is from the Park City TV, "Mountain Morning Show" aired
2-3-09. Scot (the host) and I briefly discuss an independent film I
recently finished scoring, my slow recovery and side effects from Botulism and how it took me into the new world of electronic music out of necessity. What I didn't get to say in a "sound bite" is that it
was my faith in God, one special doctor at UCLA and a Mom who never gave up on me, that got me through that "long, dark night of the soul"~Richard

WREG - Memphis Botulism Patient Inspiration to Many
Posted on: 4:31 pm, June 6, 2012, by Sabrina Hall,
(Memphis) Sometimes a miracle can be as small as a movement.
"In the beginning, it was like 'his toe moved! His toe moved! Call everybody in the hallway! His toe moved!'," said Amanda Killen.
For Killen, The miracle though is bigger than that, "He can move his head and he can smile and he can mouth words."
"He's come from a place they thought was hopeless, to this," said Friend Mac Edwards.
He's a survivor of a disease so rare, fewer than 200 people in the US come down with it each year.
"Botulism is a disease that is caused by a toxin," said Dr. Manoj Jain, an infectious disease doctor at Baptist Restorative Care Hospital.
Many victims are misdiagnosed.
"I didn`t really buy that he was brain dead," said Amanda. "It just didn`t feel right to me."
Doctors had been ready to take him off life support back in December, but Jay Killen was not in a coma, he was paralyzed.
"At one point, his eyelids were sewn shut because he could open them but then he couldn`t close them again," said Amy.
When doctors realized he had botulism, they were able to give him the anti-toxin that saved his life.
"Botulism is a disease that can occur when people eat canned food that is not properly preserved," said Dr. Jain.
Now, seven months later, the miracles keep coming.
"We laugh, we cry, we pray," said Edwards.
And they come in the form of people.
"If his nose itches, I scratch it. If his arm needs moving, I move it," said Edwards. "Simple stuff that we take for granted that he can`t do."
Every single day, every moment Jay's wife can't be there, somebody else is.
"Coming to sit with him, coming to be with him, reading to him, playing music to him," said Amy.
They call themselves "Team Jay". They are 25 friends from Facebook that sit by is side in two to three-hour shifts.
"It's really pointed out to us how truly blessed we are ," said Amanda.
And Jay Killen has also given a gift to them.
"Who am I to complain about anything when he in here doing this with a great attitude?" said Edwards.
Gratitude for every movement, in every day.
Jay and his wife still do not know how he contracted the illness. His doctor believes he should be able to get up and walk again by Christmas.
