The material on Legend consists mainly of love songs with a few of Marley's more politicized and religious themed works; the selection on Natural Mystic therefore attempts to redress the balance. On the opening title track, he warns of how "one and all got to face reality now" in a world of massive upheaval and change. Other songs explore salvation through oneness ("Africa Unite"), the greed that propels the world towards an inevitable Armageddon ("So Much Trouble In The World") and Marley's own role as a persecuted leader ("Iron Lion Zion"). The magic that was part of his and The Wailers' live shows erupts in the included version of "Trenchtown Rock" which has an infectiuousness that demands a rhythmic response. The inclusion of "Easy Skanking" shows a meditative and laid-back Marley ...

Bob Marley ~ Could you be Loved (Lyrics)
I Do Not own this!! "Could You Be Loved" is a song by Bob Marley & The Wailers. It was released in 1980 on their last album Uprising and is included on Bob Marley & The Wailers greatest hits album Legend. It was written in 1979 on an airplane while The Wailers were experimenting on guitar. In the middle of the song, background singers quote a verse from Bob Marley's first single Judge Not: "The road of life is rocky; And you may stumble too. So while you point a finger, someone else is judging you" THIS IS MY TRIBUTE TO THE LEGEND BOB MARLEY LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS!! Lyrics: Could you be loved and be loved Could you be loved and be loved Don't let them fool you Or even try to school you, oh! no We've got a mind of our own So go to hell if what you're thinking Is not right Love would never leave us alone In the darkness there must come out to light Could you be loved and be loved Could you be loved and be loved The road of life is rocky And you may stumble too So while you point your fingers Someone else is judging you Love you brotherman Could you be, could you be, could you be loved Could you be, could you be loved Don't let them change you Or even rearrange you, oh! no We've got a life to live They say only, only Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive Stay alive Could you be loved and be loved Could you be loved and be loved You ain't gonna miss your water Until your well runs dry No matter how you treat him The man will never be satisfied Could you be, could you ...

BOB MARLEY& THE WAILERS - WAR (LEGEND DOCUMENTAL DVD) (Subitulado castellano)
BOB MARLEY& THE WAILERS - WAR (LEGEND DOCUMENTAL DVD) (Subitulado castellano) "War" is a song recorded and made popular by Bob Marley. The lyrics are derived from a speech made by Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I before the United Nations General Assembly in 1963. The song is credited to Alan Cole and late Wailers percussionist Carlton 'Carly' Barrett as song writers, and not to Bob Marley. It first appeared on the Wailers' 1976 album, Rastaman Vibration. Barrett's brother and collaborator, former Wailer musician Aston 'Family Man' Barrett has since brought law suits against the Marley estate for unpaid royalties and credit for songs such as 'War' that were either written by others and not by Bob Marley, or in collaboration with Marley.[citation needed] One such suit resulted in a $500000 settlement in 1994.[citation needed] A later suit filed in the UK was dismissed.[citation needed] Marley, along with fellow Rastafarians, worshiped Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia as the incarnation of God, and refer to him as The Lion, which Marley does in many of his songs. Haile Selassie I gave the speech calling for world peace at the 1963 UN Conference in New York City. The song uses part of Selassies speech that calls for equality among all without regard to race, class, or nationality in his hymnal cry for peace. It also asserts, quoting Selassie directly, that until the day of an equal society, there will be war. In the original speech, Selassie urged UN officials and country ...

Bob Marley - Jamming (CD - Vinyl Comparison)
A demonstration of the differences in sound quality between the original vinyl and Ted Jensen CD re-remasters of Bob Marley's Legend album. A brief history (I don't know that much)! Legend was released on album and cassette in the 1980's. It was also given a CD release a bit later. In the 90's it was remastered by Barry Diament. Where the original had many songs with edits, Diament's used the full-length mixes of many of these songs. In the "noughties", the albums, including Legend, were re-remastered for whatever reason, by someone called Ted Jensen, and his is the version we are comparing, as I was given the CD as a late Christmas present yesterday! As can be heard in this great song, "Jamming", although the Jensen is a bit louder than the LP it is not offensively so. Anyone listening without reference to other versions would not find his work poor. However, Jensen has heavily emphasised the bass, at the expense of the upper frequencies. Percussion (eg the bell-like things on the left) does not ring out the way it does on the vinyl, and Marley's vocal is woolly and vague. As a result of less treble information, the stereo imaging is a lot less focused. Read the Steve Hoffman discussion at www.stevehoffman.tv which also includes comments from Diament.

PEACE & LOVE TO ALL ~~~~~~ ___~RIP~___ Robert Nesta Marley 2-06-45 / 5-11-81 Three Little Birds is a song by Bob Marley & The Wailers from their 1977 album Exodus. It is one of Bob Marley's most popular songs. The single was released in 1980 and reached the Top 20 in England, peaking at number 17. The three "Little Birds" referenced by Marley were the Wailers' three backing vocalists, the I Threes, consisting of Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, and Bob Marley's wife Rita. The song Three Little Birds is one of the songs featured in the 2007 movie I Am Legend. Ironically, Will Smith sings the song both in Shark Tale and I Am Legend. However, the song appears in strikingly contrasting contexts. In Shark Tale, Smith sings the song in a light-hearted, feel-good manner, while in I Am Legend, the song has bittersweet undertones, as Smith's character (the last man alive in New York City) sings the song in an attempt to stave off intense loneliness.~ Bob Marley & the Wailers were a reggae band created in 1974 by Bob Marley, after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer left the precursor band, The Wailers. Bob Marley & The Wailers consisted of Bob Marley himself as guitarist, song writer and lead ...
