Actor Corin Redgrave dies at 70 - (06 04 10) {Quatro casamentos e 1 Funeral} - 720P HD
Corin Redgrave, an actor, activist and member of the Redgrave theatrical dynasty, has died. He was 70. Corin was brother to actresses Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave and son to matinee idol Michael Redgrave and his actress wife Rachel Kempson, as well as uncle to star Natasha Richardson, who died last year. His wife, Kika Markham, said he died in a London hospital Tuesday, after falling ill at home on Sunday. Corin Redgrave was known for his radical political views, including his stance against the Iraq War and his bid to get former prime minister Tony Blair impeached. As an actor, he had a string of roles on stage and screen, including the hapless groom Hamish in the hit movie comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral. Born in London on July 16, 1939, Redgrave entered the family business while studying at Cambridge University. His first stage appearance was at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 1961, playing Lysander in a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. His first major screen role came in 1966, when he appeared in the Oscar-winning historical drama A Man for All Seasons. Other films credits included The Magus, Oh! What a Lovely War, In the Name of the Father and Enduring Love. Corin Redgrave also appeared on the British TV shows Trial and Retribution, Foyle's War and Kavanagh QC In 1995 he wrote a book, Michael Redgrave: My Father, which discussed his father's bisexuality. It was later made into a BBC documentary. In 1998 Redgrave won a Laurence Olivier award for his role ...

POLIWOOD: Sex Slaves for He But Not for Thee, The Perverted Politics of the Redgrave Family
British author Tim Adler's latest book, "House of Redgrave: The Secret Lives of a Theatrical Dynasty", is filled with bombshell revelations about one of Britain's most celebrated acting families. On this week's Poliwood, Roger Simon and Lionel Chetwynd delve into the sordid politics to which Vanessa Redgrave and her brother Corin were dedicated. How did these children of privilege come to think of themselves as leaders of the working class? And why did they embrace the leader of the Workers Revolutionary Party even after he admitted to having "red sex slaves"?

'Bramwell' Season 1 / Episode 1 / Part 1 * JEMMA REDGRAVE as Dr. Eleanor Bramwell
From the PBS Masterpiece Theatre series first aired far too many years ago (and which begs to be shown again soon!). From Season 1, Episode 1, Part 1. This remains one of my favourite Masterpiece Theatre offerings ever! Jemma Redgrave's Dr. Eleanor Bramwell displays many admirable qualities as she struggles to become a physician/surgeon in the male-dominated world of Victorian England, yet her Bramwell also shows some very human foibles, tool, giving the audience a more interesting, credible and sympathetic character. The re-creation of clinical scenes is also quite accurate (and occasionally not for the squeamish!). SYNOPSIS : Set in 1895, 'Bramwell' follows the fortunes of feisty, compassionate Dr. Eleanor Bramwell (JEMMA REDGRAVE, daughter of Corin Redgrave, and niece of Vanessa and Lynn) in her pursuit of public health and private amours in Victorian-era London. Eleanor's father Robert (DAVID CALDER) would like his daughter to join him in his respectable private practice, but Eleanor has plans of her own, which take her from the drawing rooms of the elite to the shocking deprivation of the slums of London's East End. CAST : Eleanor Bramwell . . . Jemma Redgrave Robert Bramwell . . . David Calder Sir Herbert Hamilton . . . Robert Hardy Written by Lucy Gannon Directed by David Tucker and Laura Sims Produced by Tim Whitby and Harriet Davison ----------- SEASON 1 EPISODE 1 (Part 1) Eleanor Bramwell has her heart set on becoming a surgeon - an ambition unheard of for women ...

La Rabbia regia Louis Nero
February 2008
Los Angeles Film Festival World Preview
Candidate for David di Donatello "set of five"
for the best original song of Luis Bacalov.
Brief subject:
A young director 25/30 years old, lives with a girl. Active part of the Intellectual society, he represents perfectly the union between fear and determination, that changes deeply his way of understanding the world that surrounds him. His only aim is to leave a footstep of his presence on this world realizing a film. Daily vent seems to be the bar meeting with two writers friends, perfect place where to dream about their future. They usually discuss and debate about a lot of subjects. Often, those long conversation do not bring our protagonist to any tangible conclusion, but look useful to maintain him rooted to reality. Reality that seems to be well represented by his alter ego, a middle age cinema director, that has already perfectly understood how life goes and is ready to be his mentor. As a side character the city, suspended between greyness and immaterial, that screams his materialism to the young director, deaf in front of his recall. The rude reality is that to be part of this huge cinema machine he needs money to let his dream becomes true. Unavoidable the meeting with the producer, character that express himself with a dichotomy between market laws and personal experiences. Brecht said:” what is rob a bank compared to create a bank?”, aphorism that leads the protagonist to get easy money (robbing banks to produce his film). Realized that, now the young director has to distribute the film, and the distributor seems to be close as behaviour to the producer. The final question is: is it right to fight for your personal ideals or is it better to follow the easy-money way? He already knows the answer.
