Excellent Slovenian Documentary on the wars in former Yugoslavia (Eng Subs) p1
The Yugoslav Wars were a series of violent conflicts fought in former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the 1990s and 2001. The wars were characterized by bitter ethnic conflicts between the peoples of the former Yugoslavia, mostly between Serbs on the one side and Croats, Bosniaks and Albanians on the other. Often described as Europe's deadliest conflicts since World War II, they were characterized by mass war crimes and ethnic cleansing. Albeit tensions in Yugoslavia had been mounting since the early 1980s, it was 1990 that proved the decisive year in which war became more likely. At the last Communist party conference in Belgrade in 1991, the congress voted for an end to the one-party system, as well as economic reform, which prompted the Slovenian and Croatian delegations to walk out and thus the break-up of the party, a symbolic event representing the end of "brotherhood and unity". The Yugoslav wars may be considered to comprise of two sets of successive wars affecting all of the six former Yugoslav republics, including Kosovo: * Wars during the breakup of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia: 1. War in Slovenia (1991) 2. Croatian War of Independence (1991-1995) 3. Bosnian War (1992-1995) * NATO bombing in Bosnia and Herzegovina (1995) * Wars in Albanian-populated areas: 1. Kosovo War (1998[5]-1999) * NATO bombing of FR Yugoslavia (1999) DL from: www.4shared.com

Beginning of War in Yugoslavia - Pocetak Rata u Jugoslaviji
Yellow Wasps Anatomy of a War Crime A Film by Ilan Ziv This program chronicles the Yellow Wasps, a Serbian paramilitary unit operating in Bosnia in 1992. They called themselves volunteer patriots defending their people against its many enemies. But to their victims they are criminals, sent to pillage and murder as part of a long-standing plan of naked Serbian aggression. Now refugees, these people "cleansed" from their homes recount chilling tales of torture and massacre by the Yellow Wasps. Filmed over two years, YELLOW WASPS documents a spurious war crimes trial held in Serbia itself. The trial of the Yellow Wasps provides a unique window into the roots of "ethnic cleansing." The film also examines in detail what high officials, from Serbian President Slobodan Milosovic to American Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger to United Nations special envoys, knew about the atrocities - and what they did with that knowledge. The trial has since been concluded with the leaders of the Yellow Wasps receiving light sentences, but the questions remain: Can the victims of ethnic cleansing expect to find justice in a post-Cold War world, where morality and "realpolitik" often collide? And what did the world powers mean after the Holocaust when they vowed "Never Again?" "A monument to the capacity for evil that we humans seem all too willing, even eager, to demonstrate."—New York Daily News 70 minutes / color Release Date: 1996 Copyright Date: 1995 Yugoslavia War Rat Pocetak ...

UNPROFOR 1992-1995 Yugoslavian war stabilization operations
This is a BBC documentary on the United Nations Stabilization Mission during the Yugoslavian war in 1992-1995. The last 20 minutes or so are recordings of Serbian and Bosnian reports, but the quality is worse than horrible. I'm really sorry for that. I thought I'd share that fragment anyway. The video has been digitized from an aged VHS cassette so pardon the overall quality.

'West wants to punish Serbians alone for Balkan wars'
The defense team of the former Yugoslav army general Momcilo Perisic say they'll appeal the verdict of the Hague tribunal. It's after the military leader was sentenced to 27 years in prison for war crimes. Perisic was convicted of abetting atrocities during the Balkans War in the 1990s, including the massacre of 8-thousand Muslims in Srebrenica. He is one of several ethnic Serb military officials on trial in The Hague. Balkans political expert Marco Gasic says the West wants Serbians to feel guilty for the whole Yugoslavia war.
