Byte Value Display (Maybe It Is EBCDIC?)
http://demonstrations.wolfram.com/ByteValueDisplayMaybeItIsEBCDIC/
The Wolfram Demonstrations Project contains thousands of free interactive visualizations, with new entries added daily.
Did you ever get a file that you could not view? Did you get a hex dump of the file to try and figure it out? You may say to yourself, "Maybe it's EBCDIC data?" With this utility you can see what hex values equate to in ASCII and EBCDIC.

Learn about COBOL Numbers in Enterprise COBOL Programming
http://www.gogotraining.com, 1-877-546-4446
This video discusses:
• COBOL Numbers
• Hexadecimal in COBOL
• Data Representation
• USAGE IS DISPLAY - EBCDIC
• USAGE IS COMP-3
• Big Decimal Numbers - 31 Digits
This video is part of the Enterprise COBOL Programming Part 1 course which you will learn the basics of Enterprise COBOL application development. Enterprise COBOL Programming Part 1 includes coding the four DIVISIONs, basic logic, data definition, and sequential I/O processing. Once completing both parts of the Enterprise COBOL Programming Introduction course, you can continue your leaning path by following with an Enterprise COBOL Programming: Intermediate and Enterprise COBOL Programming: Advanced.
Course Prerequisites:
You need to know basic z/OS JCL for JES2 or JES3, and TSO/ISPF.
Course Objectives:
As a result of taking this Enterprise COBOL training, you will be able to:
• Describe and code the layout of a basic COBOL program
• Code COBOL programs with conditional and repetitive processing
• Code COBOL programs that read and write sequential files
• Compile, link and run COBOL programs using JCL.

How to print non-western and euro-codepages on AS/400
Kim S. Egekjær from InterForm A/S explains how to print non-western and euro-codepages on AS/400 with InterForm.
Some users have asked why the euro sign is not printed or how to print in a non western codepage like latin2 (EBCDIC codepage 870) or even cyrillic.
Some very old printers does not contain the euro character in the resident fonts and non western codepages are not even known by the printer (or Acrobat Reader when we are talking PDF output). But it is actually possible to create this kind of output anyway. You just need to install a True Type Font in InterForm400 and use that.
Kim has created this movie to show you exactly how that is done and how you can verify the output. The whole installation of the True Type Font, setup and test (also of the designer) is done in under 15 minutes.

UnpackDecimal_Tutorial

Micro Focus: Caja Madrid - Intelligent Mainframe Grid
