Musical Development REMIX!
There are different literacies and they're used to compose a message ever vividly.
It's like a quarterback on a football team or a conductor of a symphony.
And through classes.
I learned to, play music real, well.
I started, in the 4th grade.
I then learned, the saxophone.
It was like ope'ning my eyes to a whole new world of sound. And then....
I, learned, time signatures and notes
It, was, like a whole new language
This, was, the bare minimum
And, I, wanted more
In middle school I learned to, play the drums and the guitar as well.
And then I wrote some songs, with feelings, ones that I could not show.
I can also
Play the piano
And I can change moods.
I will play, a song for you
Then change the key, when you feel blue.
'Cause it was a hard journey for me, but I did not give up.
Music is, a way of life
It communicates, 'n so many ways.
'Cause music can be so many things if you can just listen.
I hope this gets to you. Tonight.

Ideas for musical development!
Private lessons... musical development
The purpose of this video is to get your mind thinking about development in the bigger picture. As a musician, you need to be versatile. If you are a one dimensional player, then your opportunities probably will be limited to that one skill you possess.
My goal is to help musicians become as well rounded as possible!

How to Submit Your Musical in Development for THE PITCH
The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival is seeking submissions from composers and playwrights who would like to be considered for inclusion in the first edition of THE PITCH.
THE PITCH, is an innovative approach which seeks to add a new and important step in the development process for new Musicals. It is designed to give creative teams valuable audience and peer feedback during live presentations at a much earlier stage of the creative process. THE PITCH will also provide time for creative teams to focus exclusively on the work at hand in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Twenty projects in all will be selected for presentation over the course of a ten-week season. The season will run from June 14th to August 18th. Those chosen to participate will receive travel expenses and accommodations for their one-week residency.
DEADLINE for SUBMISSIONS: February 8, 2012
FINALISTS NOTIFIED: March 8, 2012
For the details and specific submission requirements of THE PITCH, visit http://www.FingerLakesMTF.com/submissions. To learn more about the Festival, visit www.FingerLakesMTF.com.
