Rudy May

Rudolph May, Jr. (born July 18, 1944) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1965 to 1983 for the California Angels, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles and Montreal Expos. May was noted for possessing a very good curveball. May was the 1980 American League ERA leader.

Early years

May played high school baseball at Castlemont High School in Oakland, California. One of his high school teammates was future Hall-of-Famer Joe Morgan. Signed by the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 1962, May was one of the last players in Major League Baseball to be exempt from the later adoption of the Major League Baseball draft. He pitched in 32 games for Class A Bismarck-Mandan, with 11 wins and 11 losses, pitching 168 innings in 24 games. He chose not to re-sign with Minnesota.

In 1963 May was selected first in the 1963 First Year draft by the Chicago White Sox. He pitched over 300 innings in 1964, split between the Single-A Tidewater Tides and Triple-A Indianapolis Indians, with 17 wins and 8 losses in 207 innings in 30 appearances.

Lele Pons

Eleonora Pons Maronese (born June 25, 1996), more commonly known as Lele Pons, is an Internet personality most notable for her six-second video loops on the video-sharing service Vine. As of September 30, 2015, Pons has hit 7 billion loops on Vine which makes her the most looped person on Vine. She is also the most followed female star on Vine.

Many of Pons's videos consist of practical jokes on herself, her friends, classmates, and her family.

Pons was born in Venezuela, having moved to the United States at age five. Since immigrating to the US, Pons has resided in Miami, Florida. Pons graduated from high school in 2015 and she moved from Miami to LA.

Her book Surviving High School, cowritten with New York Times bestselling author Melissa de la Cruz, is out April 2016.

Pons received her first phone at age 15, and was soon introduced to Vine by one of her friends, stating, "I started with my friends, and I started becoming good. At first it was just being really creative—it wasn't even funny stuff." Pons would become one of the app's most prominent users, becoming the first user to surpass 1 billion video loops. As of September 1, 2015, Pons' account remains the most looped of all time with over 6.7 billion loops. In addition, Pons' account ranks 8th in terms of followers, with over 9.9 million. Pons is credited as being a creator of the phrase "Do It For The Vine".

Mike Tyson

Michael Gerard "Mike" Tyson (/ˈtaɪsən/; born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer. He held the undisputed world heavyweight championship and holds the record as the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles at 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old. Tyson won his first 19 professional bouts by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. He won the WBC title in 1986 after defeating Trevor Berbick by a TKO in the second round. In 1987, Tyson added the WBA and IBF titles after defeating James Smith and Tony Tucker. This made him the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, and the only heavyweight to successively unify them.

In 1988, Tyson became the lineal champion when he knocked out Michael Spinks in 91 seconds. Tyson successfully defended the world heavyweight championship nine times, including victories over Larry Holmes and Frank Bruno. In 1990, he lost his titles to underdog James "Buster" Douglas, by knockout in round 10. Attempting to regain the titles, he defeated Donovan Ruddock twice in 1991, but pulled out of a fight with undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield due to injury. In 1992, Tyson was convicted of raping Desiree Washington and sentenced to six years in prison but was released after serving three years. After his release, he engaged in a series of comeback fights. In 1996, he won the WBC and WBA titles after defeating Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon by knockout. With his defeat of Bruno, Tyson joined Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Tim Witherspoon, Evander Holyfield, and George Foreman as the only men in boxing history to that point to have regained a heavyweight championship after having lost it. After being stripped of the WBC title, Tyson lost his WBA crown to Evander Holyfield in November 1996 by an eleventh-round TKO. Their 1997 rematch ended when Tyson was disqualified for biting part of Holyfield's ear off.
