Haley Joel Osment - I hate that you're my mother scene "Pay It Forward" (2000)
I don't own this video. It belongs to its rightful owners. No copyright infringement intended. This is a scene from the movie Pay It Forward (2000) starring Haley Joel Osment, Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. Haley Joel Osment is a really brilliant child actor. You may know him as the voice of Sora in Kingdom Hearts or Cole in the movie The Sixth Sense(1999), David in AI(2001) and Walter in Secondhand Lions(2003)... so why not watch him here in this movie. Pay It Forward is a great film, very moving film indeed. I just want to share to you guys this scene coz I'm really affected by the acting idk why.. maybe because both Helen and Haley are just too good here. :) ENJOY! :)

Pay It Forward - One Voice [Billy Gilman]
Pay It Forward is a 2000 American drama film based on the novel of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde. It was directed by Mimi Leder and written by Leslie Dixon. It stars Haley Joel Osment as a boy who launches a good-will movement, Helen Hunt as his single mother, and Kevin Spacey as his social-studies teacher. When eleven and a half year old Trevor McKinney (Osment) begins seventh grade in Las Vegas, Nevada, his social studies teacher Eugene Simonet gives the class an assignment to devise and put into action a plan that will change the world for the better. Trevor's plan is a charitable program based on the networking of good deeds. He calls his plan "Pay it forward", which means the recipient of a favor does a favor for a third party rather than paying the favor back.

Apple Motion "Pay it Forward" Clip
This is a short clip from the movie "Pay it Forward." It was edited in Final Cut Pro with the text effects created in Motion. Here are the steps used to achieve the chalk writing effect: 1. Grab still frame from the movie (the first clip you see from the movie) 2. Use Photoshop to eliminate everything but the text. Then use dodge and burn tools to make text brighter. Save pic. 3. Open pic in Motion and create a layer (about 50% opacity) on top of the movie text) 4. Use the paint tool (shape style = chalk hard) to paint the text onto your new layer (actually each paint stroke will become a layer). 5. Apply the "Write On" effect on each paint stroke and spend hours fine tuning each stroke. 6. Download chalk sound effect from Sound Snap (free sound fx) and edit in Garageband to get timing. I was asked to prepare this clip for a presentation. The presenter was afraid the assignment on the chalkboard wouldn't be legible. Instead of just putting standard text on a blank background (as the "A Teacher Gives an Assignment" text) I thought the chalk writing effect would transition better to the movie clip.

FIA GT3 VIDEO BATTLE
As someone who spends most of his time working with different types of creative people, I do enjoy getting involved with young, talented artists in order to help them get their careers going. I'm in the unique position of being to help creative people from time to time and see this as an opportunity to give back to the world and pay off some karmic debts, if that makes sense.
So last month, the option came up for us to take drift film-maker Will Roegge to a FIA GT Race in Italy. I was pretty curious to see what he would do at a high end European GT race and put his name forward to be one of the shooters for our NFS Drivers Film project with Spitfire Films.
The main NFS Drivers film will focus on the GT1 class, but we decided to make this little Speedhunters Mediascape style film of the GT3 races just for fun.
It features footage from Will Roegge, Tripp from Spitfire Films on the Red Camera and a materials from yours truly.
If you liked our recent Formula D: The Story So Far film then this new video will certainly tickle your fancy.
Enjoy!

The RAW Timelapse Tutorial - INTRODUCTION
***NOTE: All opinions & perspectives shared come from my experience as a shooter and may not be the best way of doing things. I am simply sharing MY WORKFLOW when both capturing and processing RAW time-lapses similar to the ones seen in the INTRODUCTORY video below***.
Target Audience
The target audience of this series will be the independent filmmaker who is open to learn. In the series, I hope to give a thorough breakdown of how to shoot RAW time-lapses. There is no perfect formula to get incredible shots other than practice, practice & more practice. These shorts will simply give you a look at how I approach shooting time-lapses. Comments and recommendations for future videos are encouraged.
This series is a work in progress and will continue to evolve as I learn more. Below you can find the current content breakdown:
1: Introduction
This video will introduce the series as well as showcase the types of shots that will be present in the time-lapse series.
2: Kit Breakdown / Software & Hardware Solutions – Introduction
In this video, I will give a quick preview of what equipment I use when shooting time-lapses.
3. A Closer Look at my ‘Tool Kit’
In this section, I will look closer at my ‘go to’ equipment and also break down a few different kit configurations depending on shot requirements as well as shooting conditions.
4. PRE-PRODUCTION — (Story, Scouting & Scheduling)
Pre-production is by far the most important part of the process for not only time-lapse photography but filmmaking as a whole. By being prepared from the beginning and by having a well laid out plan, production & post-production will ALWAYS go way smoother. There are a few specific areas that I will be investigating as part of the pre-production phase.
- Searching for Locations.
- Prepping Gear.
- Shot Lists.
5. PRODUCTION
This section will be the most extensive and will encompass a wide array of possible time-lapse setups. For a list of the current tutorials to be covered in the series, please see below:
- Camera Settings/Modes: Understanding the Basic Functions of a DSLR
- Static Time-lapses
- Motion Controlled Time-lapses
- Day to Night Time-lapses
- Astro Time-lapses
- HDR Time-lapses
- Walking Time-lapses
- Bulb Ramping
6. POST PRODUCTION
For this section, I will be covering a few different methods for processing the time-lapses as well as cover some of the ways in which to remove flicker from your time-lapses. I will also be focusing on a few composting techniques.
Some of the programs/codecs I will be covering include:
- LR Timelapse, Lightroom, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, FCP 7, Quicktime 7, GB Deflicker, CHV Time Collection, ProRes vs CineForm, Photomatrix, GBS Timelapse & more.
NOTE: I will be spending a substantial amount of time discussing how to remove flicker using various programs as it is a highly requested topic.
7. Distribution: An Expanding Market Opportunity
The demand for online content is increasing. Grants for web series are becoming available. Discounts that used to exist for online content, such as discounted actor rates, are quickly disappearing as many are seeing the added value in online content. Crowd funding is also becoming a viable option for funding. With this shift, it is key to create an online presence — and get your work seen.
Paying it Forward
The gap between low quality and high quality video is quickly closing and this quality content is becoming available at a fraction of the price. It is becoming even more important to find ways to stand out from the crowd.
Now the main reason I am asking anyone that learns from the tutorials to either post their work or post something they learn along the way is because of the impact this work could have upon someone else. By posting your content online, you may be posting content that a viewer can relate to. You may even inspire someone or speak to them on a deeper level that could inevitably cause a life altering event. Who knows?!?
With this new market that is emerging, many people now have access and it is becoming even more important to find your niche. There are a few things you can do to stand out. Do work that relates to personal experiences. Continue to work hard and be passionate about the work you do — no matter what you are working on. Do the best possible job you can do on EVERY job. If you continually grow and work hard, good things will happen. It doesn’t take much to push yourself as a filmmaker. I’ve found that it is actually harder to be complacent!
Conclusion
Although only a quick look, the above post breaks down what I will be covering in the tutorials. If there is anything you would like to see added to the list or any advice on how you would like the series to be approached, please share in the comment section below!
NOTE: All videos will be available on The RAW Timelapse group. To either share your experiences or work, please join. https://vimeo.com/groups/payitforward Thanks!

DIVERSIDAD : THE EXPERIENCE video music
First single of the album Diversidad Out on June 21

Diversidad is the Spanish word for diversity. In case of the same-titled musical project initiated by the European Music Office (EMO) and supported by the European Commission, it’s not an empty phrase, but a way of living, thinking and – even more importantly – creating. To celebrate the diversity of urban music, styles and culture throughout Europe is the main aim of this ambitious artistic melting pot. In the spirit of cultural exchange, 14 different artists have come together in a recording studio in Brussels to combine their different vocal stylings over an uplifiting musical background provided by premier league beatmaker Spike Miller from France.
Spike Miller’s instrumental for Diversidad’s single, The eXperience, is a state-of-the-art production which can compete against any hit single on urban radio right now. The mixture of innovative drum programming, atmospheric synth chords and attacking strings is as multifaceted as the national and cultural backgrounds of the artists that are rapping and singing on top of it. In four minutes, the listener is carried from the smooth accentuation of Spanish or Swedish over the familiar sounds of English and French to the more harsh linguistics of German, Bosnian and Croatian. »Different rivers flow together«, sings Freetown-born, but Cologne-based artist Mariama in a catchy hook that resembles current R&B; club smashers while still sounding characteristic and recognizable.
The song is the perfect summer anthem for open-minded hip-hop lovers all over Europe. Even if you don’t understand every single word or line, you are immediately captured by the transnational vibe on this superb musical piece which stands out clearly from the boring pabulum that mainstream media and music television is trying to feed the masses. The vision of the project »Diversidad« is to actively overcome language barriers and cultural stereotypes and to be a stepping stone on a way to an exchange and unification of different urban music scenes in Europe. But despite all ideological superstructure, the main focus on this project is musical quality. Being the executive producers of the project, German hip-hop artist Curse and French beatmaker Spike Miller supervised the recording and made sure every single element fits in its predetermined place.
The eXperience is only the appetizer for a whole album that was recorded during two prolific weeks in the spring of 2010 that the artists spent in a recording studio in Brussels, Belgium. 20 different artists from 12 different countries speaking 8 different languages came together to create a masterpiece that is destined to be an integral part in the Diversidad movement. The music on the album sounds as diverse as the artists involved in its creation: There's straight-forward hip-hop songs, uptempo club tracks, a reggae tune, an urban pop ballad, a song with a kind of freestyle character and lots of different musical influences to be heard. All in all, the album showcases that urban music is a melting pot of musical styles and not a prefabricated box with rigid boundaries.
The Diversidad program will also include a festival tour, a graphic art exhibition, a movie and a digital community. All of these different channels will be opened from 2010 to 2012, but right now you just need to open your ears and hearts for the first audible life sign of the »Diversidad, The eXperience«.
Artists performing on the single:
Featuring : Curse (Germany), Marcus Price (Sweden), Orelsan (France), Rival (Belgium), Luche from Co' Sang (Italy), Frenkie (Bosnia), GMBisGeryMendes (Netherlands), Valete (Portugal), Pitcho (Belgium), Nach (Spain), Mariama (Germany), MC Melodee from La Melodia (Netherlands), Remi and Shot from Elemental (Croatia),
Scratch by Cut Killer (France) / Produced by Spike Miller (France)

What About God's Will for Me?
JOURNEY 2010: LIVING IN THE WILL OF GOD: WHAT ABOUT GOD'S WILL FOR ME?
Journey 2010 is about having a church comprised of people who have individually decided to follow God's Will in their daily lives.
INTRO
Most people are on guard when they spend private face time with their Pastor. Especially if you are a bit older and have been in church a few years. You may have known a pastor who used your or a friends situation as a sermon illustration. You may have experienced the judgmental statements of a pastor. So we normally treat a visit with the pastor as an interrogation at the local police precinct. We watch what we say and what we do. We make sure everything is put up, nothing lying around that shouldn't be.
Personally I would rather visit people when they are lying on a gurney waiting to be operated on. They tend to be more honest. You can tell if they are anxious. Transparent honesty is such a rare thing anymore. We wonder about our politicians, our church leaders, our teachers. We grow up learning to question, exactly because we have seen so much dishonesty
I know some of you question the truth of God's will. To most everyone under the age of 35, the subject of God's Will is strange, foreign, and for the most part irrelevant. We believe that live happens. God rarely has anything to do with it.
Let me assure you, whatever your concept about the importance of the will of God, what you think is not truth. We are easily deceived into believing any old lie the world or the devil wants us to believe. What matters is the Word of God!
This Word is Life, not just for after you are dead, but it is Life NOW! It is health, it is forgiveness, it is peace, it is hope, it is safety, it is security, it is the most powerful force this world has ever know. I can say this because this word says that Jesus Christ is the Word. No other person in the Universe ever lived a sinless life, ever faced Satan one on one and defeated Him, ever stared death in its face and defeated it! If you fail to give your life totally to Jesus Christ, you are robbing yourself of real Life. You are robbing yourself of the very presence of God! You are robbing yourself of ever being a part in the will of God. You may think you know God, but you are believing a lie. Your mind is dark, you are confused and stumbling over the falsehoods of your mind. One day instead of waking to an eternal life of joy in the presence of God, you will wake in the agonies of Hell, screaming in torment for all eternity, ever sorrowful because you knew the truth but you rejected it. There will be no second chance.
WHAT IS GOD'S WILL FOR ME?
We are looking at what the will of God for me is. And number one, the will of God for you is to know Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. He doesn't want part of you, even three quarters of you. He doesn't want to be just one of your beliefs, and share space with Hinduism, Buddhism, humanism, or even you ism. He must be your GOD! Anything less and your mind is fooling you. You are lost in a lie. You will never know God's Will. This is because you put your will first.
So what is the will of God for me and for you? It is to put Him First! It is to Trust completely and confidently in Him.
Now I know you are thinking how much easier it would be if you could sit down at Applebee's and have a nice long lunch with Jesus. I assure you that football would not be the topic of conversation. Who is going to win the Super bowl would be the farthest thing from your mind. You would want to know what He thinks of your life, if you are going in the right direction. You would want clarity on His will for your life. You would want to know what you should be doing for Him.
If life was only that simple. So many decisions we make.
We make decisions and then our decisions make us.
Should I go to college? Which one? What should I major in?
Should I get married? Which one?
I can't stand my job. Should I look for another, or should I just quit and hope something pops up?
A friend of mine wants me to share a place with him. Should I? Should I live at home?
I'm getting ready to retire? Can I afford to? Where should we live?
We have two children. We’re thinking about having a third. Should we have another one? Or should we think about adopting?
I feel like God is wanting me to go into the ministry. What does He want me to do? Missions, Youth, Pastor?
I told each of my children that in order for them to get married, they had to go to college. I also did not want them to go to state colleges. I also wanted them to live on campus.
No state college because I wanted them to apply to colleges that were a bit more difficult to get into, so it made them work harder on their grades. Live in the dorms because I wanted them to grow up faster, face decisions on their own, what types of friends were best for them, how to manage money, how to do laundry, all the things they need to learn to live on their own.
So our children moved away, Pepp

Pay it Forward Scene - That's me...and I'm going to help them...
Notice the classroom reaction. Interesting case study in people. Anytime you come up with the eureka moment, your flash of brilliance, you'll have people that opening hate you, some that champion you, but most will just sit and watch (like the rest of the classroom), to see what happens next. What happens next is up to you.
