  Beechen Cliff School is a boys' secondary school in Bath, Somerset, England. Founded in 1896, it has 1,145 students aged 11 to 18.
  There are around 830 boys in years 7 to 11 and a co-educational sixth form of over 200 students. The school is located just south of the city centre near Alexandra Park, up a hill from Bear Flat on the A367, a major route from the south of the city into Bath.
  The school began in 1896 as Bath City Secondary School in the Guildhall.
  It moved from the Guildhall Technical College to its present site at Beechen Cliff in 1932 when it was renamed the City of Bath Boys' School.
  It changed to its present name in 1970 when the City of Bath reorganised secondary education. The grammar school was amalgamated with Oldfield Boys' School, a local secondary modern school originally founded in 1903, to form a comprehensive school.
  On 7 August 1988, on a school climbing expedition in the Briançon region of the French Alps, the 57-year-old headmaster Donald Stephens fell 300 feet (91 m) to his death. Fifteen pupils and three members of staff were on the expedition, training for a walk up Mount Kenya, and witnessed the tragic incident. A library has been established in his memory.

  Bristol Free School is a Free School that opened in Brentry, Bristol, England in September 2011. It is one of first 24 new Free Schools to open in England. As of September 2011^[update], the secondary school has 80 year 7 pupils. Once fully open it will cater for 750 pupils aged 11 to 16. It is located at a former Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and Environment Agency site, which was converted for use by the school.
  The headteacher Richard Clutterbuck and a trust consisting of Parents Voice and the Russell Education Trust, which was established by the school improvement company Education London, run the school. The magazine EducationInvestor reports that Education London are setting up the school.
  The school is secular and non-selective. The curriculum is broad with an emphasis on Music and Science.
  The school was proposed following a 20-year parental campaign. The campaign group, Parents Voice, wanted to open a secondary school either at an Adult Education Centre at Stoke Lodge, or on the former St Ursula's School site, to serve the Westbury-on-Trym, Stoke Bishop, Sneyd Park and Henleaze districts of north west Bristol which had no nearby state secondary school. However they quickly ran in to problems with local residents near Stoke Lodge who wanted no development and Bristol City Council, who wanted St Ursula's for a primary school only. Initial approval for the school's plan and business case was given by the Department for Education in November 2010. Final approval was given in May 2011.

  Andrew Lincoln (born Andrew James Clutterbuck; 14 September 1973) is an English actor, known for his roles in the TV series This Life, Teachers, Strike Back and Afterlife, and the films Love Actually and Heartbreaker. He currently stars as Rick Grimes in the AMC television series The Walking Dead.
  Lincoln was born in London to a South African mother, a nurse, and an English father, a civil engineer. He grew up in Hull and moved to Bath at the age of ten. After leaving Beechen Cliff School, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), where he changed his name from Clutterbuck to Lincoln. He grew up with an older brother called Richard Clutterbuck, who is the founding head of Bristol Free School in 2011.
  Lincoln made his first on-screen appearance in "Births and Deaths", a 1994 episode of Channel 4 sitcom Drop the Dead Donkey.
  His first major role was Edgar "Egg" Cook, one of the lead characters in the highly successful BBC drama This Life (1996–1997). He went on to star as probationary teacher Simon Casey in the Channel 4 sitcom Teachers (2001–2003), and had a lead role as university lecturer and psychologist Robert Bridge in Afterlife (2005).

  Chris Martin was born in Exeter, Devon and is the eldest of five children. His father, Anthony Martin, is a retired accountant, and his mother, Alison Martin, is a music teacher. It was at the prep school that Martin formed his first band, The Rocking Honkies, with Nick Repton & Iwan Gronow. Their debut performance was met with boos from the crowd. After Exeter Cathedral, Martin boarded at Sherborne School, a boys' independent school in Dorset. He also met future Coldplay manager Phil Harvey at the school. Martin continued his studies at University College London, staying at Ramsay Hall where he read Ancient World Studies and graduated with First Class honours in Greek and Latin.   Vanessa Paradis was born on December 22, 1972, at Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, near Paris. She spent her childhood in Villiers-sur-Marne with her parents, André and Corinne Paradis. She was attracted to cinema early on. Her admiration for Marilyn Monroe led her to take dance and piano lessons. Paradis spent a lot of time with her uncle, Didier Pain, and his musician friends.
  Her first TV appearance was on the show L'École des fans in 1981. She recorded her first single, "La Magie des surprises-parties", in 1983 and performed it in an Italian festival in 1985 but failed to win the first prize.
  Although "La Magie des surprises-parties" was not a hit, it paved the way for the song with which she became internationally famous, "Joe le taxi", in 1987, while she was still only 14 years old. It was #1 in France for 11 weeks and, unusually for a song sung in French, was released in the United Kingdom year (25 January), where it reached #3. It was taken from her first album M&J (it stands for Marilyn & John) which, although it gained a number 13 placing in France, drew little attention in the UK and did not enter the chart.
